Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer-Chapter 584 - 277: Dreamland Royal Court and Mirror World_3
Thinking of this, Alka reached out, preparing to construct the Royal Court, but then he suddenly stopped. His current power seems a bit too weak compared to a normal Dream Realm King, he thought. Even the former holder of this Royal Authority, that foggy deer, had strength roughly between the Sixth and Seventh Stage in the Real World. That was still at the bottom rung among the Dream Kings. If I construct the Royal Court now, I won’t be able to move it for a while. So, it’s best to choose a good location.
If it were the Alka of before, he would surely have constructed the Royal Court immediately. To the him of a few hours ago, wasn’t the Dream World always like this? Bizarre and twisted, yet desolate; apart from clouds and mist, only drifting dream creatures remained. After gaining more knowledge about the Dream World, he now understood that the Dream Realm also had environments. Environments, of course, varied in quality. Most regions were neither good nor bad, much like the wasteland where he currently was. But some areas had better environments. For example, they allowed Dream Bubbles appearing there to rest more, making it easier to repair mental damage. They allowed dream creatures in those areas to grow more easily and increase their strength more readily. There were even "wonders" unique to the Dream Realm.
Alka couldn’t help but sigh, "To have acquired authority I shouldn’t possess at such a weak stage of power."
According to the memories he obtained from Mirmi, normal Dream Realm Kings should possess strength corresponding to the Sixth Stage. Mirmi was only a tiny bit stronger than this stage. He himself had only just recently reached the Third Stage; the difference was vast. Although strength in the Dream Realm was one stage higher than in reality, it was still far from enough. The time and effort required increased exponentially the higher one went. He was currently like a newly enthroned infant. Wielding authority he shouldn’t possess naturally came with various restrictions.
Still, it’s better than nothing, Alka thought. Although I can’t construct a Royal Court directly, as a king, setting up a temporary Palace shouldn’t be a problem.
He dived directly into his own Dream Bubble and gathered all the materials from around the Crystal Pillar Stone. He combined a significant portion of Gold and Silver Energy with the pink mist from his hand. These various substances mixed into a murky, yet seemingly comforting, mass of Energy that then erupted. It swirled around him, drawing circles. These circles encompassed Alka and the dreams of the surrounding Summer Generation entities. The Energy transformed into three giant Crystal Pillars, which were interconnected by three Iron Chains. A silver Compass-like design appeared atop them, and a pattern of an eye pupil floated on this Compass.
"This will have to do," Alka said, looking at his creation. I’m not entirely satisfied, but this is the extent of my current abilities, he thought. Even a temporary Palace costs Energy. It looks rudimentary, but it’s sufficient to enclose this territory.
This Palace would be temporarily fixed here. Alka’s Dream Bubble would also be placed here. After all, constantly keeping the Dream Bubble anchored to his soul exerted a certain pressure and was also inconvenient. The main issue was that his Dream Bubble was too large and conspicuous, despite being sturdy. He definitely didn’t want to wake up one day, emerge from his Dream Bubble, only to find some giant creature outside staring at it.
He watched the foggy creatures flitting about within his Palace. Alka didn’t drive them away. These foggy creatures are valuable, even if they aren’t particularly useful to me right now, he mused. The area in the Real World corresponding to the Palace would be prioritized for restoration by these creatures. This meant that in the corresponding Real World, the surrounding environment would become increasingly stable, and instances of chaos would gradually diminish. However, Alka and his companions were always sailing on the sea and wouldn’t stay in one place for long. Therefore, this function wasn’t very helpful to him for the time being.
He set some Rules within the bounds of his Palace. Alka then turned his attention to another power he had acquired.
Divine Descendant.
The changes this brought were the most direct. For example, Alka’s Magic Power had now completely transformed into a pink mist. Using the Dream Catcher, he could more easily pull others into the Dream Realm and lull them into a Deep Sleep. If he mixed some silver Energy while using the mist, it was even possible to drag an enemy’s very being directly into the Dream World. Alternatively, mixing in golden Energy allowed Alka to wield power exceeding his current capabilities. This power enhanced more than just the Dream Catcher. It also deepened his connection with the Mirror Surface.
Alka could now directly create a gateway to the Dream World through the Mirror Surface. However, creating such a gateway required a certain amount of time, and maintaining it also consumed a vast amount of Magic Power. When creating the gateway, Alka also needed to expend a certain amount of Gold and Silver Energy; otherwise, his current Magic Power wouldn’t be able to sustain it for long. As for what enhancements this would bring in combat, he still needed to explore them gradually. These were just the applications he had thought of for now, along with the clearly discernible changes. But at least he could feel that his control over the Treasure had improved.
He could sense an even more powerful Energy gathering within his body. It seemed to be Divine Power, and it was gathering very slowly. This was because he had only absorbed a tiny fragment.
And these changes were only related to the Real World. The Mirror Surface also brought enhancements for Alka within the Dream World.
As Alka looked at his Palace, a Mirror Surface manifested upon his face. His power in the Dream Realm was much stronger than in the Real World. This also allowed him to wield more of the Mirror Surface’s power. Pink mist surged forth. It formed a huge Mirror overhead, covering the entire Palace. Slowly, it descended. The Mirror Surface rippled like water, and the entire Palace, along with Alka’s Dream Bubble, was completely drawn into the Mirror. The entire Palace entered the Mirror World.
Alka observed the world within the Mirror. It wasn’t the inverse of the outside world, as he had expected. Instead, it was a vast space formed by joined Mirror Surfaces, reflecting the surrounding scenery. The sight even made Alka’s eyes blur. He immediately waved his hand. The Mirrors instantly lost their reflective function. They now only scattered the ambient light, making the entire space exceptionally bright and clear.
The enormous Mirror outside began to reorient itself. And so, a circular Mirror now stood upright in the Dream World. From its Mirror Surface, one could see the conditions inside the Mirror. And from within the Mirror, Alka could also see the outside world through a large, circular portal before him. But without his permission, no one could enter unless they forcibly shattered the Mirror Surface. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
He configured the access permissions. This allowed the foggy creatures to enter and exit freely.
Truly amazing! Alka couldn’t help but look forward to the day his strength was sufficient for the Mirror Surface to fully unleash its power in the outside world.
