Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer-Chapter 583 - 277: Dreamland Royal Court and Mirror World_2
At this moment, the surroundings of his Dream Bubbles had become different than before.
Indeed, just as he thought, changes had occurred.
Firstly, all the light and shadow creatures that used to surround his bubbles every time were gone. Not only around his own bubble, but even around Jason’s Dream Bubbles, the light and shadow creatures were absent. Alka’s bubble seemed to have formed a protective circle, keeping those creatures at bay.
In their place, misty beings had appeared. Various kinds of misty beings gathered, lingered, and moved about the area.
Alka apparently welcomed these misty beings, because they caused no harm to the Dream Bubbles.
Alka had inherited some of Mirmi’s memories and acquired knowledge through the Divine Fragment. Consequently, he gained a deeper understanding of the entire Dream World. He was no longer as ignorant as before, when he had only known basic information.
The Dream World could be categorized as the Spiritual World, closely connected to the Real World yet separated by a solid barrier. The Dream Realm is the spiritual manifestation of life. Both light and shadow entities are purely spiritual creations; they are life forms that emerge in the Spiritual World. They feed on the Dream Energy of Intelligent Life and are formed from the various emotional changes of Intelligent Life. Dreaming generates chaotic emotions, which are then expelled by the Dream Bubbles. These emotions coagulate in the Spiritual World to form light and shadow creatures.
Misty beings, however, were different; they were products of the world itself. They were Natural Essences. It was just that misty beings were Natural Essences more inclined towards the Spiritual World, and they were highly connected to the world itself. The Real World rarely saw Natural Essences anymore because it had long since been destroyed, becoming a pile of fragments. The current Real World was merely a collection of these fragments stacked together, a place barely clinging to existence. With the Real World so shattered, Natural Essences that relied on it for existence were naturally difficult to find. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
But life in the Real World had not completely perished. With the help of the Four Divines and some special powers, many lives had managed to survive. This resulted in the Spiritual World, also known as the Dream World, still persisting, albeit somewhat reduced in size. Its fundamental nature remained intact. Thus, the well-preserved Dream World still harbored more Natural Essences. Though seemingly weak, they were crucial foundations for the world’s continued existence.
It is precisely because a portion of these Natural Essences still resides within the Dream World that the reality outside can continue to exist, not completely shattered. Furthermore, because they still exist, the outside world is self-repairing, and the Natural Essences preserved in the outer world also remain active. This includes the four remaining Divines.
It is because of their contributions to the world that they are invincible within the Dream Realm; neither light nor shadow creatures can harm them. Not even reality can. If they do not actively harm others, then no other creature will actively harm these Natural Essences in the Dream Realm. Those capable of harming them naturally understand their importance and would not foolishly do so. If someone truly harbored world-ending desires and acted this way, others would intervene to stop them.
Alka finally understood why he had been able to defeat Mirmi. It was because the essence of the Dream Catcher is the manifestation of the "purification" rule of the Dream Realm. Simply put, all his attacks dealt bonus damage to creatures within the Dream Realm. An attack that might only cause slight damage to normal creatures would have its damage significantly multiplied when used against dream creatures. This power also caused sporadic deaths within the Dream Realm, retaining the concept of death from the Natural World. It was also a rare ability, one capable of harming misty beings within the Dream Realm.
But there seemed to be a limit. For instance, Alka himself had seldom felt the desire to attack misty beings. Before defeating the blood-red deer, Alka had harmed only one misty being, an act from his early explorations of the Dream Realm. Back then, his knowledge about the entire Dream World had been extremely limited. From that point on, he had never again wanted to harm misty beings. Moreover, at the time, it had only been harm, not a kill; after inflicting the injury, he had lost the desire to continue, and the misty being had not resisted. This had allowed Alka to withdraw midway.
Gathering his thoughts, Alka looked at the surrounding Dream Realm.
A Crown of the Dream Realm appeared above his head. This was the manifestation of being a "King" in the Dream Realm.
The first thing he could do was construct his own "Royal Court." Simply put, he could construct a kingdom within a dream that belonged solely to him. In this kingdom, he would possess more powers. For instance, he could expel all light and shadow creatures, or compel the Dream Bubbles within this domain to supply him with Energy. He could even prevent Dream Bubbles from appearing in this region. These were all things he could accomplish within his Royal Court.
If he chose a region to construct his Royal Court, could he sign a contract with Chadite and the others, allowing their Dream Bubbles to appear directly inside the Royal Court after they dreamed? That would spare their Dream Bubbles the danger of being attacked within the Dream World.
