Chapter 1844: Chapter 1845: Sparring with Xiang Yu

Xiang Yu had been prepared, and he turned around and kicked.

Their legs collided, and they both took a step back.

Darwin was secretly surprised, as he was the one launching the sneak attack with full force, while Xiang Yu was just reacting on the spot, yet they were evenly matched.

People around them gathered again to watch the spectacle.

"Who would’ve thought the leader of Group One would resort to a sneak attack? I never saw that coming."

"Yeah, he used to seem like a gentleman, but turns out he’s just a petty person."

Everyone around was gossiping, pointing fingers at Darwin.

Darwin couldn’t care less now, he pointed at Xiang Yu and said, "If you win today, I’ll kneel down right here. But if you lose, don’t blame me for being rude."

Before Xiang Yu could respond, Darwin kicked directly at him.

Xiang Yu snorted coldly and jumped to the side, not wanting to stir up trouble.

After all, they had just arrived, and being at odds with Group One could cause a lot of trouble later.

But this didn’t mean Xiang Yu was a coward; in fact, he was quite bold. Since the other side was relentless, he didn’t need to evade anymore.

"Since you want to kneel and call me grandfather, I’ll grant your wish," Xiang Yu shouted, and punched at Darwin.

Darwin hurriedly retreated, but Xiang Yu’s fist was fast, always in front of Darwin no matter how quickly he backed away.

"Yes, Brother Yu, hit him hard!" Tie Zhuzi suddenly shouted from the side.

Everyone around was startled by him and stepped back a bit.

"Don’t make a fuss, Xiang Yu hasn’t hit him yet," Eck said angrily while standing next to Tie Zhuzi.

"It’s only a matter of time," Tie Zhuzi chuckled.

While they were talking, Xiang Yu kicked Darwin’s chest, sending him flying.

Darwin didn’t admit defeat, grabbing a handful of dirt from the ground and throwing it at Xiang Yu.

Xiang Yu quickly used his arm to shield his face and retreated a few steps.

Seeing his chance, Darwin quickly stood and jumped up to kick at Xiang Yu’s head.

"Watch out."

Everyone around gasped; Darwin’s despicable move angered them.

Many couldn’t bear it, rolling up their sleeves, wanting to teach Darwin a lesson.

Xiang Yu knew Darwin would use this time to attack him, so he jumped back with his fastest speed.

Darwin’s foot barely swept past Xiang Yu’s face—if Xiang Yu had moved any slower, he might’ve been hit.

"Scoundrel." Xiang Yu snorted and stopped holding back, jumping up and kicking Darwin in the chest, then spinning to kick him in the head.

Xiang Yu didn’t give him any chance to counterattack, stepping forward and stomping on Darwin’s chest.

"You’ve lost," Xiang Yu said coldly.

Initially, he wanted to give Darwin some face and let him lose with dignity, but never expected the guy to play dirty tricks.

Xiang Yu’s surprise move was incredibly fast, catching most around off guard.

"See, I told you, this kid wasn’t a match for Brother Yu," Tie Zhuzi said complacently.

Eck was stunned, realizing Xiang Yu’s skills were formidable, thinking his own fate wouldn’t fare better than Darwin if they fought.

Everyone around looked at Xiang Yu with admiration, clearly acknowledging his strength.

Those who hang around here worship the strong; as long as you win a fight, you earn everyone’s respect.

Seeing Darwin’s defeated look, Xiang Yu didn’t further humiliate him, lowering his foot and walked back to his base.

Darwin lay there like a dead man.

Everyone around was egging him on, telling Darwin to get up and call Xiang Yu grandfather.

Tie Zhuzi was the most excited, squatting beside him and shouting, "Stop ********** pretending to be dead, get up and call him grandfather."

"Yeah, get up."

Group One members crowded over, pushing Tie Zhuzi and others aside and pulled Darwin away.

"Hey, you’re not keeping your word; you promised to call him grandfather," Tie Zhuzi yelled from behind.

Eck stepped forward, patting Tie Zhuzi’s shoulder, "Let it go, we’re all brothers, don’t go too far."

"Not keeping promises," Tie Zhuzi huffed, "If he won, wouldn’t he cut Brother Yu’s hand off?"

Eck was momentarily taken aback, realizing that if Darwin had won, he’d probably have done something like that, given his nature.

"Let’s go back." Eck said, pulling Tie Zhuzi away.

Today, Xiang Yu and his companions brought glory to their tenth group, and he wanted to properly treat them.

At this moment, in a distant corner, Sirvi stood with Xia Cheng.

"Your brothers are quite something," Sirvi said probing.

"Hmph, they’re just my subordinates," Xia Cheng said proudly.

"Your subordinates? They don’t quite look like it; are you bragging?" Sirvi mocked.

"Bragging? Without me bringing them here, would they have this chance to stand out? They were mere fugitives in Little Bar," Xia Cheng boasted.

Sirvi patted Xia Cheng’s shoulder saying, "Brother, everyone’s gone drinking, why don’t you come to my tent for a couple of drinks?"

Xia Cheng looked Sirvi up and down again before nodding, "Alright, let’s go."

Back at the tent, Xiang Yu planned to rest but Eck and others came in with drinks and food, insisting on a drinking marathon.

Xiang Yu welcomed the challenge, laughing heartily, "Since we’re drinking, let’s set a rule: I like drinking fast, how about we use big bowls, and we only drink bowls full?"

Eck and the others hadn’t drunk with Xiang Yu before and didn’t know his capacity, so they immediately agreed, "Sure, I like straightforward people."

Eck ordered big bowls, and they drank heartily.

Within less than half an hour, Eck and the others were passed out on the ground, while Xiang Yu remained unfazed.

Tie Zhuzi was lying there babbling, mumbling to continue drinking.

"Brother, you should rest in another tent," Xia Xuan suggested seeing the chaos.

Xiang Yu nodded, "I’ll rest at Eck’s, just let them sleep here."

Eck’s tent was messy but dry, and Xiang Yu lay on the bed, quickly falling asleep.

The next morning, when Xiang Yu woke up, Eck and others were still sleeping soundly on the ground; if not for Xia Xuan waking them, they’d sleep till noon.

"What time is it? Isn’t it time for dinner?" Eck groggily asked.

"It’s breakfast time; it’s nine in the morning," Xia Xuan replied crossly.

Only then did Eck realize he had slept so long...
