Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer-Chapter 573 - 274 Controlling the Treasure_2
It was the Puppet Girl on the ship who spoke.
The last sliver of hope shattered, and Balazs visibly sunk into despondency.
"Alas, everything I had was destroyed by this scum."
As he spoke, he couldn’t contain his anger any longer and threw a punch at Kriel beside him.
However, the fist just passed through his body and landed on the muddy ground.
The sharp stones in the mud pierced his hand, causing it to bleed.
"Do you want to come with us?" Alka asked.
Although it wasn’t an invitation onto the ship, since they were traveling together, taking him to a safe Island and leaving him there wouldn’t be a problem.
Balazs looked at him, gazing into his eyes.
Suddenly he asked, "You will come back? To take revenge, right?"
After all, Alka and the others had almost been wiped out several times, all because of the inexplicable harm caused by Kriel, whom they barely knew.
"Of course," Alka answered without hesitation.
My strength is weak right now, so I can’t afford to provoke him. But that might not be the case later.
Moreover, if he finds the right Treasure, he must come back to perform the ritual and unlock the Scepter Level Treasure on Broken Island.
By then, it would be only right to eliminate this enemy.
He hadn’t forgotten the multiple near-death experiences.
Both emotionally and rationally, he had to come back and settle the score.
Hearing this, Balazs nodded.
"That’s good!"
Listening to Balazs’s words and watching his actions, Alka nodded. It seemed Balazs wasn’t planning to leave with them but intended to stay.
He’s gambling, Alka thought. Though he didn’t understand Balazs’s reasoning, he respected his choice.
"According to estimates, how long will it take for this Island to return to reality?" Balazs asked.
Alka calculated for a moment and said, "Approximately four to six hours."
Hearing this timeframe, Balazs frowned and nodded, then looked at the group.
"Go ahead, knock me out, make it look miserable, as long as it’s not life-threatening."
THWACK!
The moment Balazs finished speaking, he staggered and collapsed, dazed.
Everyone collectively looked up at the attacker.
Pororo met their gazes and shrugged helplessly. "He asked me to. Don’t worry, I know what I’m doing."
That’s clearly not the work of someone ’skilled,’ Alka thought, looking at the large, swelling bump on Balazs’s head. But it didn’t matter, as long as the goal was achieved.
"Rough him up a bit," Alka said. "Make the injuries look like they fit the signs of fighting around here." 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
Several of them nodded and began figuring out how to inflict injuries that looked severe but weren’t life-threatening.
Alka moved to the side, next to Kriel, who was still in a Deep Sleep, and attacked the ground underneath him in various ways.
He left numerous marks on it, all from impacts and strikes.
This way, they could disguise their presence, as in Kriel’s eyes, they were already dead. He believed he was the only one who had survived.
Now, they were truly hidden from Kriel.
After finishing all this, Alka dusted off his hands.
"Now *he* looks like he barely survived."
Jason looked at Kriel, still in a Deep Sleep on the ground. His eyes darted about as he whispered to Alka, "Should we... add a little something extra?"
Hearing this, the eyes of the other male crew members nearby lit up.
Alka shook his head without hesitation.
"No, that’s too insulting. If we enrage him, he might take it out on Balazs. Besides, it would let him know we’re not dead, and that would be bad for our plans to get revenge on him later. And don’t you want to see the utter shock on his face when he eventually sees us again, thinking we were long gone?"
Hearing this, they all seemed to agree with his reasoning and sighed regretfully.
"He’s getting off easy," one of them muttered.
With that settled, Alka went over to Balazs, who was now covered in wounds inflicted by the group.
Seeing Balazs’s miserable state, Alka couldn’t help but frown.
He looks awful, Alka thought. Almost like he’s on the verge of death, covered in all sorts of wounds. But a closer inspection revealed they were all superficial, non-life-threatening flesh wounds. Even so, if left alone, he’d bleed for half a day.
Alka reached out, rubbed his fingers together, and a faint pink mist drifted down around Balazs.
This should effectively conceal him.
He deliberately let some of the mist settle on one of the wounds, making it look as if it were caused by an attack from a Dream Realm creature. Moreover, this mist would render Dream Realm creatures nearby unable to detect him, ensuring his safety on the way back to reality. This added another layer of protection, further ensuring Balazs’s survival.
Having dealt with the surrounding evidence, the group quickly ran towards the location of their ship.
Finally, they returned to the Dawn Sound.
"Phew, this place finally feels safe," Jason said, sprawling on the deck.
"Alright, everyone, go get cleaned up," Alka announced. "Juanlu, I’ll leave the feast to you. Simon, we’ll head to the Manufacturing Hall in a bit."
Many of the Puppet Girls around them bore injuries; some of the more severe cases even had missing limbs.
The Puppet Girls on the repair team were currently performing temporary maintenance on their sisters’ bodies.
But for full repairs, their current skills weren’t advanced enough; they would need Alka and Simon’s help.
Once that was done, everyone went about their respective tasks.
The entire process didn’t take much time.
Once Alka and Simon repaired the severely damaged Puppet Girls, the minor damages naturally were left to their sisters to handle.
This was also a rare training opportunity for them.
