When they were cleaning up and going inside the thoroughly covered buildings to check if there were zombies inside before Luciel had even covered them, he had also heard some complaints about what Luciel had done.

Luciel had always left a place outside of the place that he had thoroughly covered with enough space for others to take shelter at with some openings.

In those areas, most of the time, Treyton and the others saw some zombies.

In those places, there were always people who had been attacked by those people who had turned into zombies already.

Some managed to defend themselves while some became zombies and also attacked other people.

In one of those places that Luciel left an opening in the cover that he made, they saw that most of the people had already turned into zombies and only a few had managed to survive.

When those who were complaining saw what happened in those areas, most of them became silent.

When some of them were really persistent in going out to see what’s the situation outside already, once they saw the tragic sight and many killed zombies, they became even more silent and obediently went back to the building that Luciel had thoroughly covered with vines.

If Luciel hadn’t thoroughly covered the buildings and other areas in the temporary housing zone as soon as the zombie birds started attacking inside the base, Treyton was sure that there would surely be more victims.

If Luciel hadn’t covered those places, then they would probably have needed to clean up a lot more zombies instead of those that were just roaming around that they had just cleaned up.

And if Luciel had really left an opening on those vines that he had used, then his hard work would have probably gone to waste, as there would always be some people who would enter those places even if they were already bitten or injured by zombie birds or someone who had become a zombie because of their desire to survive.

Luciel probably appeared a bit cruel to some of them, but in fact, he was already very generous as he even made a place that he hadn’t covered thoroughly for those who still needed shelter.

There were already hundreds living in just one building and then there were those that came in after hearing the base announcement, so most of those buildings were really filled with a lot of people.

If Luciel hadn’t thoroughly protected those places with vines, then they might have to include those buildings as areas to clean up and they probably have to deal with hundreds of zombies.

Of course, if it were just them, those level 1 zombies won’t pose a threat to them as they could easily kill them, but if it were others, it might be more troublesome for them.

Those zombies also wouldn’t just stay put and probably roam around in other places and in other zones aside from the temporary zone that they were in.

With the help of Luciel, at least they had dealt with fewer zombies and those that would follow up the cleaning process in the temporary zone would also have an easier time.

However, there were still more casualties in the temporary housing zone as they had already killed a lot of zombies and there are still probably a few more hidden zombies in the places that they hadn’t checked yet; that’s why he couldn’t help but sigh.

"You’ve sighed twice already. You’re making me feel more down," Nathan said.

"Then just go somewhere else so you won’t hear anything."

"I don’t want to go somewhere else, and we just finished cleaning up zombies."

Nathan was obviously in a worse mood than him ever since they were at the walls, especially after they finished cleaning up the zombie birds and seeing the state of the other people at the base walls.

Treyton knew that Nathan was certainly feeling bad because he saw a lot of people just turn into zombies without being able to do anything despite being a doctor.

They had been going out of the base and had dealt with a lot of zombies and had also met a lot of people, but this is certainly one of the times where they had seen a lot of people turning into zombies and not just the people who had turned into zombies already.
