Transmigrated As The Final Villain of a Death Game-Chapter 115: Setting Out To The Western Continent [ 5 ]
As I approached Clementine, I noticed that all of the ships had already sunk.
As for the people on the ships, they were all soulless corpses floating in the ocean.
It didn’t take long for Clementine to spot me.
"You’re back so soon?"
"Yep. I got the attacker. Also, check this out."
I pulled out the sniper from my dimensional ring and showed it to her.
"It’s pretty cool, and it can store heat. With my Wrath Transformation, I can blast anyone’s head off from really far away."
She didn’t really seem that amused.
I guess she’s not a fan of cool weapons.
Or maybe it’s because I suggested making a jacuzzi out of an ice coffin...?
Either way...
"Let’s fly the rest of the way there. We’re not really that far."
The paladin was on one of the few hundred islands beside the Western continent.
Those islands circle that whole continent, and basically, if one sees them, that means the Western continent is within 100 kilometers.
So that should only take us a few minutes.
Just as I was about to start flying over there, Clementine grabbed my hand.
"Amon... Your horns are still visible?"
What?
"They are?"
I glanced up, and to my surprise, the crimson horns were still on my forehead.
But I had already tapped out of that power, so why...?
Just then, the crimson horns flickered a few times and finally vanished.
Is this what the Eldritch monster meant?
Will I become a demon if I don’t refine my blood and keep using this power haphazardly?
Or does it have something to do with how I keep spacing out and tunnel visioning?
Now that I think of it... I haven’t blacked out ever since the project.
"..."
"Clementine, since we have a whole month on this continent, do you mind if we stop by a healer?"
Her expression turned to one of worry.
"Amon..."
"I’m sure it’s nothing. But it’s better to be safe than sorry," I assured her.
Although she didn’t seem convinced, she ruffled my hair slightly and slowly began to fly.
I caught up to her and, with all sorts of thoughts swirling inside my mind, I led the way to the Western continent.

In less than 10 minutes, we finally spotted the coastal city of Kurenia on the Western continent.
There were dozens of tall buildings, as well as plenty of people working on constructing more.
Then I spotted the clocktower right beside the port, and it looked like it was 6 in the morning.
It was very early.
Even so, Clementine and I exchanged a glance, then dove into the water.
We approached one of the boats from underwater and subtly made our way onto it.
As the passengers got off, so did we.
No one really noticed.
After all, with ships this big, even the crew themselves don’t memorize everyone’s faces.
The two of us got onto the wooden pier and observed the people around us.
The women wore plain dresses made from either cotton or wool. Ankle-length skirts and laced-up shoes.
As for the men, they were basically the same.
They wore cotton or linen shirts, short coats, high-waisted trousers, and heavy leather boots.
It also seemed like the color palette was limited to brown, dark orange, dark red, and lastly, black or silver.
Honestly, I kind of admired how everyone looked so modest.
Though, that’s precisely why we also changed our clothes while on the way.
I wore black trousers and a shirt with a slightly tattered coat, and on the other hand, Clementine wore fully silver clothes.
Since I couldn’t find any leather shoes in my dimensional ring, we just kind of rolled with the regular laced shoes I had picked up back on the Elodrenia continent.
Basically, with so many people around, I kind of placed my hopes on the guards not noticing until we entered the city and bought some proper footwear.
Clementine and I stood in a line of people, but thankfully, these guards weren’t incompetent, so the line moved by at least 10 people per minute.
And within just five minutes, Clementine and I were up.
"Badge, identification, or a permit?"
I glanced at the silver star embroidered on the guard’s pocket, then at the puffed-up shoulder armor he wore.
He looked a little silly.
Even so, Clementine and I reached into our dimensional rings and pulled out the silver badges Johan had given us.
The guard seemed a little surprised.
"Are you two nobility?"
"None of your business," I deadpanned.
He frowned slightly.
Still, he took out a stapler, pierced our silver badges, and then gestured behind him.
"You have one month to either renew the badges or get off the continent. You may now enter Kurenia."
"Thanks."
We took our badges back and finally left the port.
The streets were very lively despite it being 6 in the morning.
Hundreds, if not thousands, of people roamed around the streets, picking out clothes from the street vendors and happily eating whatever food looked the most delicious.
"Step right up! I will read your fortune! The first card is free!"
"Come try out the new steam cooker! If you bring your own food, it’s 50% off!"
"Pink panties! Purple panties! Pink and purple panties!"
Smiling to myself, I turned toward the buildings which had a golden log symbol.
They were considered inns.
There were a few inns right beside the port.
As much as I’d love to stay here for a bit, the location was pretty bad.
Every morning, you’d get woken up by the ships blowing their horns and the people screaming in the streets.
Honestly... Who would even want to live this close to the port?
Just then, Clementine tugged at my sleeve and pointed at one of the nearby stalls.
"Could we try that?"
"A kebab? Sure, but let’s go exchange our valuables into their currency first."
She seemed very impatient, but I would be too if such delicious food was all around me.
After all, she was a glutton.
I interlaced my fingers with Clementine’s and pulled her away from the incoming horse-drawn carriage before continuing ahead.
It didn’t take long for us to reach the currency exchange building, labeled by a golden ’8’ symbol.
But right as we were about to enter, Clementine spoke up.
"Amon, could I try exchanging the money by myself?"
"Hm? Sure?"
Although I didn’t get it, if she wanted to do it, then I had no reason to refuse.
I reached into my dimensional ring and pulled out one of the few hundred money bags before handing it over to Clementine.
She took the money and happily ran into the building.
I waited patiently, admiring the city and how normal everything was.
Just then, I heard a distant bell and saw smoke rising from the northern end of the city.
The smoke was moving, and for just a brief moment, I caught sight of a train.
I’ve never actually been on a train.
And as it so happened, this train should bring us only a few towns away from the Harper Citadel.
At that point, we’d only need to take a carriage.
If I remember correctly, the train leaves one hour after arrival, and since it has so many passenger carts, so long as we don’t completely miss the train, we can buy a ticket and board it.
So with that in mind, I sat down on the cobblestone sidewalk and patiently waited for Clementine to get our money.
