Transmigrated As The Final Villain of a Death Game-Chapter 114: Setting Out To The Western Continent [ 4 ]
The ship in the very front burst into flames, and I saw countless people jump overboard, only for Clementine to swoop in with her Soul Weapons and erase their souls instantly.
She was like a killing machine.
But I knew she was this pissed only because she thought I was hurt.
I wasn’t.
After the talk with the Eldritch monster, I began trying to implement segments into my Telekinesis.
Since my Gifts relied on my imagination, doing something like that wasn’t hard by any means.
And so, when the old man hit me with his beam attack, I felt like someone just pushed me without doing any actual damage.
Basically, with my body’s durability increased by 40 times and the segmented Telekinetic barriers, I was very sturdy right now.
As I glanced at the firework show happening in front of me, I suddenly spotted a distant glint.
I narrowed my eyes at it, and my Mystic Eyes of Perception brought me directly to the source of the glint.
I found myself in a jungle, surrounded by dozens of bushes.
More importantly, when I looked down, I saw a bald-headed man lying on the wet ground and holding a surprising weapon.
It was a musket, except it had a magazine and even a long-distance scope.
It wouldn’t be too silly of me to call it a literal sniper.
Though, I did recognize both the sniper and the bald-headed man.
Although he’s no longer affiliated with a church, he’s still one of the paladins from the Western continent, with a simple Combustion Gift that allowed him to shoot from such long distances.
It also looked like he was also a part-time bounty hunter.
The moment I had that thought, I saw him place his finger on the sniper’s trigger.
I reacted instantly and canceled the Mystic Eyes of Perception and came back to my body.
When I did, I turned into lightning and shot upward, reappearing beside Clementine.
She seemed relieved to see that I was fine and dandy.
But I had no time to assure her further as I focused in the paladin’s direction.
In fact, I stared straight into his eyes right through the scope of his sniper.
As if taking my gaze as a challenge, he finally pulled the trigger.
I knew it was coming.
Because of how fast my reflexes now were, I saw the bullet tearing through the sky and finally arriving mere inches away from my face.
CHINK!
The bullet ricocheted off my hand and flew into the ocean, forming a large ripple that swept up the old man’s ship, toppling it over.
My hand stung a little.
Even so, I managed to stop the bullet just enough with my Telekinesis and then simply flick it away.
"What was that?" Clementine questioned.
I met her gaze.
"It’s a long-range weapon. Stay behind me for a bit."
Although she didn’t really understand it, she nodded and did just that.
Soon, another bullet tore through the air, and then another.
But the outcome was always the same.
I could see the paladin growing frustrated.
Yet that was also when I saw the tip of his gun glowing.
Then, the glow abruptly vanished.
But by then, the bullet was already in front of my face.
I was pleasantly surprised by the speed.
So, I raised my hand, trying to catch the bullet.
Right as it was about to enter my grasp, a tiny explosion sent the bullet hurtling a little to the left, right past my shoulder, and straight at Clementine’s temple.
And that’s around the time I realized I should start taking him seriously.
I froze the bullet right before it could make contact with her skin.
Clementine wasn’t idle either though, as even if I didn’t catch the bullet, she had already covered half of her face in diamonds.
She wouldn’t have gotten hurt.
But on the off chance I was weaker and she didn’t have Diamond Skin, she would’ve died just now.
"Clementine?"
"Yes?"
Our eyes met for a moment as an innocent smile appeared on my face.
"Could you hold down the fort here for a bit? I’m going to pay that long-range attacker a visit, okay?"
"Mmm... Don’t worry about me. I can handle these humans easily." 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
Getting her confirmation, I turned back to the paladin.
I decided to try something I’ve never done before.
I used my Mystic Eyes of Perception to see the paladin’s surroundings.
Then, I focused on the energy of my body and activated my Lightning Manipulation Gift with the paladin’s location as the destination.
In an instant, a faint spark appeared.
And that faint spark was enough.
Canceling my Mystic Eyes of Perception, I suddenly teleported to that faint spark of lightning.
The moment I reappeared, I felt slightly disorientated, since traveling nearly 50 kilometers in a fraction of a second was no small feat.
But whether I was dazed or not didn’t matter as I glanced down at the paladin.
He sensed my gaze and looked up, his eyes failing to display his shock.
As he reached for his weapon and pointed it at my forehead, I enveloped his whole body in Telekinesis, freezing him in place.
He activated his Combustion Gift as the air began crackling all around him and then burst into flames as a giant chunk of the jungle was abruptly covered in nothing but raging flames.
I was in the center of those flames, completely unhinged.
As it so happened, I could mirror my cells and make them fire-resistant.
So that’s exactly what I did.
So I merely stared at the paladin through the ash- and fire-filled surroundings until, finally, I decided to let him have a taste of his own medicine.
I yanked the sniper from his gaze, accidentally ripping his whole arm off.
His screams were muted by the sound of the flames.
Though it seemed like taking one arm was all it took for him to lose his composure and cancel out his Combustion Gift.
With a single thought, I blew the rest of the fires away with my Telekinesis.
It was silent.
Very, very silent.
The paladin had his mouth open, so he was probably trying to tell me something.
...It was happening again.
The world became muted all around me, and I only focused on what’s in front of me.
But so what?
I carefully unloaded the paladin’s sniper, leaving behind only one bullet.
Then, I closed both of my eyes and abruptly reopened them.
My vision turned vibrant, and my heart rate began speeding up much faster than the previous times.
In just five seconds, my heart rate was all the way up at 450 BPM.
But that was precisely what I was looking for.
I raised the sniper and placed it against the paladin’s forehead.
"Let’s see here..."
Without hesitation, I began channeling Pyrokinesis at the very back of the weapon, and I felt as if there was some sort of chamber holding in all the fire and further amplifying it.
It didn’t take long for the tip of the weapon to glow, and so...
"Since you’re a paladin without a religion, I’ll make this brief."
"Pick a god and pray."
Even if not a single one exists.
BANG!
