Transmigrated As The Final Villain of a Death Game-Chapter 110 - 50 Times [ 2 ]
Right...
"What kind of secret do you want to hear?"
For a moment, the Eldritch monster was silent.
Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if it asked something deep.
After all, from what I noticed, it could read my mind to a certain extent.
So if it asked for that kind of request, then it must’ve had something in mind.
And judging by its next words, I was right.
[I do have something in mind.]
[Tell me...]
[Who is the creator of this world?]
What a broad question...
I tilted my head slightly.
"Do you know what developers are?"
[They are the creators behind the video game All Routes Lead to Death.] 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
[I am aware of them.]
[But no matter how much I search, I cannot seem to find the name of the being who was responsible for the project.]
Oh.
So it wants to know the name of the person who came up with the idea of the game.
Although I couldn’t understand it, I did remember his name.
He was a rather rich man, and he was known for taking part in a few virtual reality projects before making a game of his own.
Safe to say, he had both the money and reputation to back All Routes Lead to Death!
"Jonathan J. Sinclair."
"That’s the name of the person who came up with the idea. He’s also the man who’s responsible for the story and lore of everything that exists."
This was a long-term game.
So he worked on it for a very long time.
I respected him for that, in a way.
Though... I didn’t like how the story turned out for most of the characters.
Still, what’s done is done.
I continued to stare at the eyeball in front of me until it finally melted.
The Eldritch monster closed most of its eyes as well.
[I see.]
[That is a familiar name.]
[You may leave now.]
A familiar name?
It couldn’t find him in my memories... So does it perhaps somehow know him from this world?
I felt like asking, but I also knew this Eldritch monster wasn’t the talkative type.
So instead, I accepted it as the end of our deal, while making sure to keep an eye on the creator’s true identity.
On another note,
"Sorry, I’ll be staying for a little bit longer. There’s something I want to practice."
The moment I uttered those words, I activated that same power as before.
The vision in one of my eyes became more vibrant and broad.
I was a little curious why I could only have my left eye open.
So I tried to forcefully pry my right eye open with Telekinesis, and it surprisingly worked.
Both my eyes were now the same, but for some reason, the rate at which my heart rate was increasing had nearly doubled.
Almost like the one eye closed was a limiter...
But I wanted to get used to this, so for starters, I decided to push the limit.
250 BPM, 300 BPM... 450 BPM.
It didn’t go any higher than 450 BPM.
Could it be scaling off my Vitality?
Since I have 472 Vitality right now, maybe my BPM only increases every 25 Vitality.
Still, now that I was at the maximum BPM, the amount of energy I felt inside my body was enormous.
It was at least triple what I usually have.
But the downside was the Gift instability.
I imagined lightning striking the Eldritch monster.
Instead, the lightning sparked above me and struck my left arm.
BZZZZZT!
My arm was almost blown off.
Though, because of the Atomic Stabilization and my high-level Lightning Resistance, I managed to avoid most of the damage.
Even so, I did have another Gift.
Telekinesis.
I closed my eyes and began to focus on the pure form of Telekinesis.
Yet no matter what I did, I wasn’t able to manifest it.
But then I had a thought.
Isn’t something like Pyrokinesis considered an unstable form of Telekinesis?
In a way, it’s still kind of friction control, except for the fine control bit that Telekinesis had.
So with that in mind, I imagined vibrating my Telekinesis at an extremely high frequency.
And to my genuine surprise, a pillar of flames soon burst out from the ground, enveloping a portion of the Eldritch monster and boiling it alive.
The flames were clearly very hot.
So much so that I felt like if I got any closer, I would burn myself.
But perhaps this was where Atomic Stabilization came into play.
Despite that instability, it looked like Atomic Stabilization was thankfully not affected.
So I imagined changing the attributes of the mirrored atoms to something fire-resistant.
I didn’t feel the change directly in my body, but the flames didn’t seem that hot anymore.
And when I covered my hands in those flames, they no longer burned me.
I played around with them for a little while, and honestly... Pyrokinesis felt as natural as Telekinesis to control.
So I stopped playing around with it and switched to trying to master the Red Lightning.
Every attempt that followed was... not very successful.
But after nearly two hours of trying to make something happen, I decided to try a different approach.
Instead of using lightning at long range, I began channeling it within my body.
I was immediately shocked when I realized that there wasn’t even a little bit of resistance.
A large amount of red lightning energy circled around my whole body, enhancing it greatly.
To test it out, I took a step forward, trying to strike the Eldritch monster in front of me.
Instead, I miscalculated just how much the lightning had increased my speed, which, in turn, made me ram straight into the Eldritch monster’s body.
It was surprisingly soft.
But it was also the body of a powerful monster who might try to absorb me.
So with a single step backward, I crashed into the wall a few hundred meters behind me.
Although I was a little dazed, I was also happy to finally realize just how this worked.
I could probably produce long-range attacks if I expelled lightning out of my body.
Even so, while I was in this state, Lightning Manipulation basically became an internal Gift.
As for Telekinesis, it became Pyrokinesis, or simply Fire Manipulation on a more powerful level.
So if anything, I had just gained access to two more Gifts that each had their own unique and powerful quirks.
I could still use my own Gifts and also use the two extra Gifts if I maintained my heart rate at a particular BPM.
This was the beauty of having such a powerful trait, after all.
With those thoughts, I focused on the pulsating crimson fragment in my chest, and by infusing a little bit of my energy, I managed to calm it down.
My heart rate lowered too.
In just a few seconds, I could use Telekinesis and Lightning Manipulation again.
Satisfied, I was about to take my leave as it had gotten pretty late.
But before I could, the Eldritch monster’s voice rang out inside my mind again.
[You have still not refined the blood as I have told you.]
I rolled my eyes.
"How am I supposed to refine my blood?"
Why would I even do it in the first place?
And after a brief pause, it gave me a quick little reality check.
[Figure it out by yourself.]
Thought so...
"Will do."
I gave the Eldritch monster a nod and finally flew up.
I navigated the sewers and eventually made my way out, making sure to tightly close the manhole behind me.
It was pitch black outside.
Since Clementine’s not at home, I should probably buy something to eat, since I’m a little too lazy to cook.
But after just taking one step forward, I froze again.
[You are also very lucky.]
[Because of your high Mental Resistance, you are able to resist the effects of Wrath.]
[I suggest you follow my advice.]
"So you can talk to me even from this far."
The Eldritch monster seemed to be regaining more of its strength every day.
Or maybe it’s not showcasing its strength...?
Either way, I needed to get some dinner and train for the next couple of days.
After all, Clementine and I will finally be returning to the Assassin’s Guild.
