Transmigrated As The Final Villain of a Death Game-Chapter 109 - 50 Times [ 1 ]
When I got down to the sewers and to where the Eldritch monster was locked up, I was surprised to see that there weren’t any more bodies around.
Though, a few more of the chains were undone somehow.
The ground surrounding it was a little cleaner... at least?
Trying to find positives when near this monster was pretty hard.
So I stopped doing that and focused on what’s important.
Atomic Stabilization.
After getting the Mystic Eyes, controlling my own energy, and more specifically, my Telekinesis, became much easier.
I could now increase my body’s durability by 25 times.
I was already at the halfway line of my goal.
So I decided to sit down in front of the Eldritch monster and focus further.
Mirroring my atoms 25 times over was the break off point, since at 26 times, my energy regeneration can’t keep up with the loss.
But maybe I was doing something wrong?
At this rate, it seemed like I would only be able to reach my goal if my energy amount doubled.
It was a little unrealistic.
With Clementine’s tears, and my Dragon Heart, my energy capacity was easily at the level of a Grade 50 or Grade 55.
Something just isn’t right...
What am I doing wrong?
[What are you doing wrong?]
[Do you perhaps want my assistance?]
Hearing the eerie voice of the Eldritch monster, I reopened my eyes.
"And what do you want in exchange?"
[A secret...]
[In exchange for my assistance, I wish to know one of your secrets.]
A secret?
Is that really it?
I had a lot of secrets, so I didn’t feel like this was that bad of a deal for me.
"Alright. I agree."
The Eldritch monster opened a couple of its eyes.
Then, to my genuine surprise, one of those eyes fell from its body and landed right in front of me.
I did my best to resist blasting it to pieces as I watched it crawl over to me, then onto my shoulder.
And soon enough...
[I understand the problem...]
[You are mirroring the atoms of your whole body at once.]
[While it may seem natural, it is deathly inefficient.]
I tilted my head slightly.
"Mirroring the whole body is the problem? Isn’t that quite literally the point?"
[Oh dear...]
[It seems you lack a few basics...]
[Have you heard of faceted shields?]
The moment I heard her words, my eyes widened.
"Yes... It’s a shield surface that’s broken into a dozen flat planes that act as segments. It helps absorb impact better, and increases defense..."
This was a real eye opener for me.
I’ve completely forgotten about something so basic...
I haven’t even used it with my Telekinetic barriers.
Instead, I merely created a barrier around me that wouldn’t let others get close to me.
Rather, there was much more force the deeper into the barrier someone went.
But if I were to turn it into several dozen segments scattered all throughout my body... I could create an impenetrable web of Telekinesis.
Just that thought alone excited me.
Though this also meant I’m forgetting a bunch of simple but effective stuff from the past.
I needed to focus.
"Thanks, you just gave me a bunch of ideas."
[...]
[I see.]
I see?
I guess this monster is a little socially awkward.
Anyhow...
"So let me guess, you want me to separate my atom mirroring into segments?"
[Yes.]
[But do not make it overly segmented.]
[You need only five segments.]
The eye that was on my shoulder suddenly hopped onto my head.
Then, it continued to speak:
[Your head, chest, abdomen, arms, and legs.]
[Those are the only segments you need.]
[Try.]
Try, huh?
It sounded a little easier said than done.
Still, since it gave me one good idea, I had faith that it wasn’t trying to just make fun of me.
So with that in mind, I stopped mirroring my atoms.
Then, I started from scratch.
I covered my head, chest, abdomen, arms, and legs with Telekinesis, giving each one their respective zone.
It felt like all of those parts were closed off from one another.
It was a little... strange.
Even so, I went on to begin mirroring the atoms in each of the respective zones individually.
I was a little surprised by how effortless it was at first.
And only after I mirrored my atoms in all five zones 30 times did I finally feel a struggle.
For something this simple, being able to mirror my atoms five more times was a pretty big deal.
But just as I was about to give up, the Eldritch monster’s voice rang out again.
[Now establish a connection between every one of the segments you have made.]
[It must be a clean connection.]
[Your abdomen should connect with your chest and legs. Chest, with the abdomen, arms, and your head.]
The Eldritch monster’s eye hopped off my head, landing in front of me.
[Do you see where I’m going with this?]
"Yep. I understand."
It was like sorting wires to save space.
Except, this time, I’m going for the most efficiency.
I quickly made the connections by moving my Telekinesis in between the zones.
And when I was done, I was left with five perfectly connected zones, all of which had an equal amount of mirrored atoms.
It felt similar to how I used to use Atomic Stabilization on my whole body.
But the energy I had to use now was reduced significantly...
It was now at 1/5th of my earlier usage.
Moreover, I only had to infuse my energy into one of the zones I created, and from that zone, it would travel into the others, automatically mirroring my atoms basically for free.
I closed my eyes for a moment and began mirroring my atoms.
25 times.
30 times.
35 times...
45 times.
There was a little strain, and each of the five zones was trembling slightly.
But I pushed through, and eventually, I managed to mirror every single atom in my body exactly 50 times.
I relaxed for a moment, feeling satisfied with myself.
I finally managed to achieve my goal.
Though, with the constant energy drain, I knew I couldn’t maintain it for long.
So I lowered the Atomic Stabilization to only 40 times increased durability.
And after that, I smiled to myself.
I could now start learning Atomic Destabilization.
But learning how to use The Demon King of Wrath’s Blood came first.
Yet just as I was about to start.
[It seems like you succeeded.]
[Now then, it is about time you grant me my request.]
[Tell me a secret.]
