Transferred to Another World and Became a Teacher-Chapter 134 - Cultural Festival 14 - Stories of Each Family
New Event: Global Dungeons Daily Releases
Leaving the dormitory, I headed towards the central plaza. The teachers' presentations were at ten and eleven o'clock. The timing was just about right, but where could Ayle and the others be? If they're just here to watch the presentations, maybe they're just wandering around somewhere in the vicinity.
Thinking that, I peeked at the stalls, and saw a young man from the Nevis family frying bread. It looked quite delicious, but I just had breakfast, so I couldn't eat anything.
"Excuse me, could I ask you something?"
"Yo! One piece for one iron coin—Aoi-neesan!? W-what can I do for you!?"
When I called out to him, the slender young man's eyes popped out in surprise. I was a little dissatisfied with how surprised he was, as if he had seen a ghost, but I'd put that aside for now.
"Um, have you seen a female student with a vermillion, or rather a slightly reddish-pink coloured hair? Also, I believe there's a blonde girl and a light blue-haired girl who are with her."
As soon as I told him this, the young man immediately nodded.
"Ah, that noisy…no, that adorable trio, right! They bought bread and went to the south plaza, I think they said that they'd be back here around the perfect time after that..."
"South plaza... I understand. Thank you."
After thanking him, I headed towards the south plaza. Since there wasn't much time, I decided to use flying magic. I stopped at about the height of a second-story roof and flew around the school grounds, while on the ground I could see children cheering as they found me, making quite the ruckus.
Arriving at the south plaza after a minute or two, there were the three girls making noise in front of a stall displaying leather bags.
"Ayle-san, Liz-san, Bell-san." 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
As I called their names and landed right beside them, Liz was the first to notice me.
"Aoi-sensei!"
"You're finally here!"
"You're late-yo!"
Immediately they started becoming noisy. I smiled wryly at the commotion and gave a light bow.
"Good morning. I'm sorry. I was late."
Upon hearing this, Ayle laughed in a carefree manner and waved her hand.
"It's okay~. I asked my father yesterday. He said you were having dinner with my father and the others until late at night."
"Ayle's father? Then, with the council members of Cote Highlands?"
"No no, the kings of various countries and that sort of people, right?"
When Bell asked, Ayle denied with her eyebrows furrowed and asked for confirmation from me.
"Ah, yes. That's right. But still, from my point of view, they are Rox's father, Felter-kun's father, and Ayle-san's father."
Upon hearing my answer, Ayle smiled with a troubled expression.
"Aoi-sensei is the only one who can talk like that! All the other teachers would be so nervous that they wouldn't be able to talk to such important people, right? Well, my father is one of the representative council members, so it isn't quite like that."
As Ayle chuckled wryly, Liz shook her head violently from side to side.
"Isaac-sama is the head of the upper council and has been a representative council member for the longest time! I think he is as important as a duke from another country!"
She exclaimed passionately while looking at me. It seems that the ranking system of the Cote Highlands Federation was complicated. I didn't really understand the system, whether it's upper or representative, and I was at a loss for words at her reaction.
While I was worrying over the Cote Highlands system, Ayle said "Ah" and raised her face.
"By the way, I heard that Barrel-kun's father came this year."
"Barrel-kun's? Let me see, the Kingdom of Karvan, was it?"
When I asked, Ayle blinked her eyes.
"Aoi-sensei, haven't you met him? It's Duke Loretto Black! He is the king's younger brother, and a great lord who owns vast land in the north. My father wanted to talk to him, but was a little down because he hadn't had much of a chance to chat with him."
"Ah, Loretto-san. That's right. We have the same surname, Black. Ah? But Loretto-san didn't mention anything about Barrel-kun."
Hearing my reply, Ayle and the others looked at each other.
"...Well, it seems like Barrel-kun's family has various issues."
"Succession disputes huh... That's something that my family has no relation to."
"It's tough, isn't it?"
And just like that, the three of them told me about the situation with the Black dukedom before I could ask. However, the contents were clearly not something an outsider should be involved in.
"That sounds like a difficult issue."
Therefore, I decided to keep my reaction to that. Then, as if she remembered something, Ayle clapped her hands in front of her chest.
"Also, speaking of the Kingdom of Karvan, Dean-kun's mother is also here to observe."
"Dean-kun's? In that case, let's greet her once. We have a presentation on the final day."
When I said that, Liz raised her hand.
"Ah, I saw Dean-kun at the central plaza! There was a woman with green hair next to Dean-kun, so maybe that person was his mother?"
"Isn't that so?"
Ayle replied to Liz's words.
This time, there was no exaggeration to say that he was the main focus of the lightning magic the students would be presenting. Maybe he had a very clear image, as Dean was the most skilled in lightning magic. However, his lack of confidence was concerning.
I definitely want to know what kind of lifestyle he had at home.
"Then, let's all head there. The presentations at the central plaza will start soon."
When I said this, the three of them all gave a good response.
