Transcending Realms With My Leveling System As A Demon-Chapter 96: The Twelve Sovereigns 1
Zylus wasn’t standing, or rather, floating miraculously inside the darkness. He was completely engulfed in the space archelogoists have always studied. Stars were visible in the area around the sky, the planet on which Zylus had been was now circling from below his view, looking like a mere tiny star from this height.
Each star glowed elegantly, twelve of them surrounded him like they were perfectly coordinated. It felt odd. How had he come here? He remembered the feeling of something weird, but nothing in particular could have made him feel this distinct feeling now.
Zylus felt astray. Not afraid, but rather, an emotion that makes you feel away. Like he had become something more impactful. The twelve stars around him began rising and rising continuously, as he watched them slowly. At this point, something felt odd.
"Stars that could float," Zylus tapped onto his jaw, curious at where they were rising towards, "I see now."
He smirked, looking at each one that now stopped gaining height level against Zylus, "You guys are them...
The anomalies."
’Anomalies.’ The beings referred to as ’Gods’ inside of every other realm are the beings that exist in the unknown realm of Dreams. And here Zylus had assumed the twelve stars that surrounded him were just that, the Anomalies he had been looking into for quite a while now.
Once he gained the title of ’The Transcendent Survivor,’ large amounts of information flooded into his head. But each aspect felt natural, like it should’ve been with him all along. Although it assisted him in discovering who these ’Twelve AnAnomaliestruly are.
"Glad you’ve noticed," a chuckle came from one of the stars, which didn’t weird Zylus that much, but rather, fueled his ego, "Let’s get into our actual form, shall we?"
"We shall."
Zylus looked around, all twelve stars suddenly dispersed in this weir,d amidsa t glow that was visibly reshaping into wahuman’s silhouette. It took a couple seconds, as everything connected.
"You guys don’t look Godly at all." Zylus sneered, he tried activating his Demonic Katana, but for some reason, it wasn’t obeying him like usual.
"Do we now? It’s just a perk of leaning into Godhood."
One of them laughed, as their forms had now fully reshaped.
It wasn’t much to peek at; however, it provided enough information to sustain Zylus’s curiosity. The Anamolies, the ’Gods,’ they were real. And they now stood before Zylus.
Of course, he thought of the chance that they could be some other beings entirely, or maybe a dream, although it would not be the case at all. Because, since coming into the Demon Realm, Zylus had never once dreamed or had a nightmare. Maybe a perk behind his system, but at this point, all that mattered were the twelve wicked individuals who floated before him.
A faint, shiny glow maneuvered around their human bodies until a couple of seconds later, it disappeared. Maybe a gift-like type of appearance, one that you would see in RPG games.
"So, you’re the next up and coming..." One of them stated, glaring at Zylus intently, "I guess we can do with a thirteenth."
"No, Victor, he’ll never be able to ascend to Godhood. After all, he hasn’t come from the worlds we have..."
They both spoke loudly out of the twelve as Zylus waited, watching and listening to their every word. Out of the twelve, four of them were girls, and the other eight were males. Well, that’s what Zylus had assumed, because of their beautiful, full-bodied hair, lustful, put-together bodies, and their undeniable beauty.
"Introduce yourselves," Zylus demanded as one chuckled back.
"An order from a mere Chimera? Embarrassing, I hope he doesn’t ascend to Godhood."
"Oh yeah?" Zylus grinned, "Why don’t we come down here and see who’s the mere Chimera?"
That man, or the anomaly, stared Zylus down, shockingly, "You’re not scared? Why’s that?" He paused to think, "Do you not feel my presence lower?" He asked, with a calm and collected expression.
"Oh?" Zylus asks,d intrigued, "And what if I don’t? Gonna do something about it?"
One of the anomalies smiled, "I don’t mind taking him in, honestly."
"I say I kill him, here and now. An arrogant tone for such a mesely creature, it’s embarrassing."
"Let him be Darold, this is how males are." One of them replied, "I’m sorry for the disturbance." She began flying, without wings, to get in a position just in front of the other anomalies.
"That’s perfectly fine," Zylus said, "women as beautiful as you shouldn’t say sorry."
She put a hand on her mouth while lustfully giggling, "What a charming young man you are." She gradually closed in on the distance between them, "But unfortunately, you’re too weak."
"So tell me," She stood just in front of Zylus now, "What are you guys?"
He had finally managed to adapt to this spacious area. He could now stand on both feet without leaning on his back the entire time, but he couldn’t fly, nor could he move from this position. His head was able to adjust, as was his neck, shoulder, and arms, but his legs felt stiff.
It was as if there was a spell cast on him so he couldn’t budge any closer.
"Us? Well, welcome." She began rising to the level of where the others were, "We are the twelve sovereigns that rise above you."
Zylus didn’t seem a bit surprised, but rather, he felt encouraged.
"So," he cut the questions short, "Have I become one?"
She raised one finger elegantly, then moved it from side to side as she approached Zylus, "No, no, no. Don’t get ahead of yourself,d darling. Almost no one can." She declared, now standing face to face with Zylus.
"But anyways, it’s nice to meet you."
Zylus sneered. It would be best to be respectful at a moment like this, to show his compassion.
"Nice to meet you all."
The woman shook her hand out, "Nice to meet you, child. Name’s Caroline Vanestrian. The Fated Soverign."
Zylus gripped her hand as she stared him dead in the eyes. The handshake was firm, but then...
"Uhhh."
