Transcending Realms With My Leveling System As A Demon-Chapter 56: New Order
"So why are we here?" Eldra asked.
"Just watch and see," Zylus responded.
"I think you mean watch and learn."
"Same difference."
Both Eldra and Zylus stood on the same terrain where Noctis was knocked out earlier, scouting the entire area.
Zylus then bent himself closer to the ground, "You see, Eldra," Zylus lowered his voice, scooping up the scent of the ground, "When Noctis got absolutely obliterated by the creature, he spat some blood out."
"What of it?" She asked, undoubtedly believing Zylus would be able to pinpoint their direct location.
"The truth is," Zylus fell silent, "I started with two orders, not only one."
Shock fell on her face, "So, what’s your second?" Eldra asked.
What a bluff, Zylus. You’re getting better at this every day. Chill, chill, I appreciate the compliments, though.
He complimented himself from a narration standpoint, nothing new.
"As I said, watch and see," Zylus whispered.
"You mean watch and learn."
"Like I said, different difference."
Eldra smirked at Zylus response, Zylus thought about what he said for a moment...
"Oh, wait nevermind-"
"Too late," Eldra smirkily declared.
Zylus sighed, clearly giving up, "Anyways, back to business." He paused, closing his eyes, "Elemental Affinity Activate..."

"Technique: BloodLoss." Zylus lay flat on the ground, "Order two, Blood Attraction."
Once he said those words, blood from the ground, blood that was left from a previous battle, started to appear.
"Ew, whose blood is that?" Eldra held her nose, swiping her hand from left to right.
Sniff. Sniff. Sniff.
Zylus continued sniffing the blood as his gaze suddenly shifted upward.
[Location: Seeking]
[Blood: Noctis Brava]
[Seeking his pinpointed direction...]
[Direction Found!]
As Zylus looked upwards, he noticed something distinct. "Jeez, these are the type of hacks I would use on a video game." He whispered as the fifty other students’ positions became apparent.
Each student had a red silhouette covering them, so that Zylus’s vision could directly pinpoint each of their location, even through this forest.
"It’s going to be a long trip," Zylus told Eldra, "You ready?"
"If it means getting my food back," she paused to think, "And Fred, of course."
"Then we go..."
...
Both of them had continued to walk for a while, but they hadn’t really found anything but leftover berries that they risked eating. Eldra was too hungry, so she ignored the poisonous factor that could accumulate from each fruit, and Zylus did the same.
"It’s been an entire hour," Eldra started to feel dizzy, "I haven’t had water for an entire day either. When are we going to get there?"
Zylus smirked, "Look up ahead."
Eldra started to shift her attention upwards, "Water!" She yelled, rushing to the tiny ravine.
It was a very small ravine, but the water seemed fresh, and at this point, neither of them cared if it wasn’t. They were low on hydration and would use any liquid to survive, maybe even their own...
"Ahh," Eldra ducked her face into the tiny ravine, two solid rocks separated them from the other side with solidified ground, "This tastes so good!"
Zylus breathed calmly, "Finally, some water, I don’t feel asleep anymore."
"Still," Zylus added, "I guess this place never becomes morning with a sun."
"Yeah," Eldra accepted, "I guess the ’Ever’ part of ’Evergreen’ stems from the endless moonlight."
"Not a bad observation, honestly." Zylus saw the vision she was going with.
Eldra suddenly picked up a handful of water and stopped, staring it down.
"Hey Zylus," She calmly said, her gaze focused on the water she held, "What do you..." Eldra paused, inhaling deeply, then exhaling, "What do you think of me... romantically?" She quickly spat those words out.
Zylus smiled, "Sorry," he picked up a handful of water as well, "But somebody is waiting for me, who saved me from a crisis." He said.
"This someone must be special..." Eldra said, with a clear, saddened expression.
Zylus looked up into the stars, "At first, it seemed like she hated me, funny in a way." Zylus’s gaze shifted to the path just up ahead, "But as we continued connecting, everything started to change. Especially my final moments before leaving her."
"I wonder if things would’ve been different if I were the first girl he met." Eldra whispered to herself, "It’s whatever!"
Her joyous scream caught Zylus by surprise. Suddenly, Eldra stood up, all happy, as she once was.
"What made you fall in love with me so easily?" Zylus asked, splashing his face with water.
"I guess it’s because I never really got to connect with anyone before." She replied, her gaze slightly darkened, "Or maybe it’s because I love you."
Zylus giggled, "Never got to connect with anyone?"
Eldra’s glare gazed downwards, "Yeah, my mother and father passed away when my brother was two." She paused, putting her hand in the water to feel the nice cold breeze, "But they were rich, so they left us with all their final riches, which is the main reason Fred grew up a coward."
Then Zylus remembered something about what Medrus had told him about Spirits. ’Spirits only grab poor people’s souls once they’ve been made happy by the rich.’
"So that explains why they weren’t killed by Spirits," Zylus whispered, "My condolences." He said to Eldra.
"No, no, please. It’s fine, it allowed me to become a tougher female. Especially for the war against the Demons that’s about to happen." She said.
"The war..." Zylus paused after thinking about it, "Just how would you know about the war?"
