"Let's go," Aurelia Shaw said.

Mason Nightshade took her hand and led her outside.

"Where to?" Aurelia noticed they weren't heading toward the parking lot.

"Back to the office first," Mason replied coolly.

Huh? "Why are we going to the office?"

"To change your clothes." Mason glanced down, swept his gaze over what she was wearing underneath, his face turning stormy again. He pulled her quickly back to the office, pulled a jacket out of the spare closet, and draped it over her shoulders.

A flashy luxury sports car was parked in front of Q City High School, drawing a crowd. While the school had its share of rich kids, there were very few who drove cars this extravagant.

Jovana Shaw came out of the school building and was stunned when she saw the car, unable to hide the envy in her eyes. Compared to the one Aurelia drove, which one was more expensive?

"Jovana Shaw?" The guy in the car suddenly stepped out, taking off his oversized sunglasses. A devilishly handsome face appeared, a wicked grin curling his lips, narrow eyes slightly squinting.

Jovana froze, not believing he was actually talking to her. Noticing the admiring glances from the crowd, she lifted her chin slightly, blushing as she asked shyly, "That's me. May I ask who you are...?"

Grayson Quinn opened the passenger door. "Want to chat in the car?"

Jovana hesitated a little.

"Jovana, is that your friend?" a classmate next to her leaned over and asked.

"Ah... mm." Jovana stammered a reply. The guy was so good-looking and obviously rich; her vanity wouldn't let her deny it.

"Does he have a girlfriend?"

This time, before Jovana could say anything, Grayson arched his lips, his devilish handsome face showing an irresistible smile. "Not yet."

"Let's go." Jovana quickly slipped into the car, nervously watching Grayson, afraid they'd start grilling each other. The man just smiled at her, his dark eyes seeming to see right through her thoughts.

He chuckled, closed the door, apologized to the others, and drove off.

As the car sped away, Jovana watched the school recede in the rearview mirror and finally relaxed a bit. The car smelled luxurious, and the man's profile was dangerously attractive. She stared, a little dazed, not even noticing he hadn't told her where they were going.

"Get out," he said as the car stopped in front of an upscale club.

This was the kind of place Jovana had never set foot in. She always played the good girl in front of Balthazar Shaw. A place like this didn't fit her image—but every time she walked by, she couldn't help wanting to peek inside.

"Uh..." Thinking he might hate girls who seemed too easy, Jovana flushed, edging between nervousness and embarrassment, hesitating in place.

"Don't want to come in? Then just wait outside," Grayson tossed over his shoulder and walked in alone.

What the hell? That's not how this is supposed to go. Jovana, desperate, tried to call after him, but as his figure was almost out of sight, she ditched her act and ran to catch up.

Grayson let out a mocking, cold laugh.

"Two bottles of your strongest whiskey," Grayson said as he sat down, gesturing for Jovana to join him. Once the drinks arrived, he poured her a glass. "Can you handle it?"

Jovana hesitated, staring at the drink.

"Can't drink? Forget it then." Grayson snorted a laugh.

Jovana was just about to sigh in relief when Grayson beckoned to a woman nearby dressed provocatively, lifted his glass with slender fingers and held it in front of her. "Want a drink?"

The woman was clearly a regular here; one look at him and she could tell if he had money or not. While she couldn't recognize the brand of his clothes, his presence screamed anything but ordinary.
