Top Actress Beware: Also Reborn Is Your CEO Husband!-Chapter 653: Mason Nightshade Spoils His Wife
Maybe this eldest daughter of the Shaw Family isn't as foolish as the rumors say. How did she even know to fight back? What should she do now? What should she do?
"I..." She opened her mouth, just about to speak, when she caught a glimpse of a cold silhouette in the corner of her eye. Her arrogant face immediately turned pitiful as she whimpered, "Don't hit me, I accidentally bumped into you, it's all my fault, I'll pay for your clothes too, please, don't hit me."
Aurelia Shaw squinted her eyes. How sharp was she? She turned around and saw Mason Nightshade standing behind her, his face dark, eyes cold enough to exude chills and murderous intent.
His gaze swept over her collarbone. He walked over, took off his coat, and draped it over her, wrapping her up, "Was the delay because of this?"
"I haven't gone to the bathroom yet," Aurelia said, tilting her head.
"Go ahead first," Mason patted her.
Aurelia walked inside, and before closing the door, she heard Mason's voice floating over, "I'll have someone give you the compensation bill tomorrow. If you can't afford it, it'll be deducted from your salary. Once it's fully deducted, then you can resign."
Aurelia smiled cheerfully, thinking he hadn't heard her before, but it turns out he had. He just considered having her deal with people like that too beneath her.
When Aurelia came out of the bathroom, she didn't expect that the woman who had bumped into her was still there. But who had torn her clothes?
She looked at Mason Nightshade, but quickly dismissed that guess. Mason would never personally do such a thing.
Could it be... Gustavo Yates? She looked at Gustavo Yates standing beside him, hmm! That's possible.
Mason Nightshade raised his eyes, and the woman shivered, trembling as she walked up to Aurelia, whispering in a barely audible voice, "S-Sorry, Mrs. CEO."
Mrs. CEO? Aurelia raised an eyebrow and glanced at Mason, knowing it was definitely something he said.
Mason gave the woman a cold glance, causing her to panic and want to leave. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
"Wait a minute," Aurelia called out to her, walking up to her, "Why are you deliberately targeting me?"
"I wasn't, Mrs. CEO," she said, flustered.
"You don't have to deny it. I'm not blind. When did I offend you? Or when did I ever insult or reprimand you?" Back then, she might have done something like that.
"N-No, it was because I admired the CEO. Seeing him holding you today made me jealous, so... I realize my mistake now, and I won't make such an error again." She said this while secretly glancing at Mason Nightshade.
Mason didn't spare her even a side glance, looking displeased and frowning coldly.
She shivered, wondering if the CEO didn't like this. Surely no man would be unhappy hearing a woman likes him?
At this moment, Aurelia coldly laughed and said, "Is it because you admire Mason Nightshade, or because you're jealous of me?"
"Of course, I'm also jealous of how the CEO treats you well." The woman suddenly became a bit flustered.
Aurelia looked down at her, "If you're jealous of me, then be openly jealous. Don't find other excuses to pick a fight. If you don't have the guts, don't try to intentionally cause trouble like others."
The woman, whose thoughts were exposed, didn't even know where to put her hands. She indeed admired the CEO; who wouldn't admire successful people? But she couldn't stand Aurelia simply because Aurelia was too dazzling. So dazzling that, as a woman, looking at her made her feel a sense of failure, making her want to destroy her.
Aurelia was right. It wasn't because of the CEO that she was jealous; it was because of herself.
