"You stayed in that room for five days?" Aurelia Shaw was surprised.
Mason Nightshade chuckled softly, "I wasn’t as bored as you think. When you went out to film, I went out to explore and watched you shoot."
Most of the time, he watched her film from the shadows.
Luckily, he came along this time; otherwise, he couldn’t imagine what the consequences would have been.
Aurelia felt Mason’s arm suddenly tighten. She leaned against his chest, listening to the quickening thump of his heart on the left side, her eyelashes fluttered a few times, then closed.
In a voice so soft it was almost inaudible, only heard when pressed tightly together, she whispered, "Thank you."
Mason’s heart skipped a beat, and he lowered his head to plant a secret kiss on the top of hers. "Get some sleep."
"Mm."
Although Aurelia replied, she didn’t fall asleep.
In such circumstances, neither of them could sleep.
Moonlight through the cracks turned into sunlight, and seemed to change to slanting rays. Aurelia felt her strength fading, and her stomach growled.
Noticing the gaze from above her head, she awkwardly coughed, "I didn’t have dinner last night."
"Sigh." Mason sighed, unable to help her constant neglect of self-care, "I have a piece of chocolate in my pants."
Pants?
Aurelia reached into his pocket, fumbled for a bit, and indeed found something hard and square.
She took out the chocolate, unwrapped it, and brought a piece to his mouth.
Mason turned his head to avoid it, as there was only one piece of chocolate, and they didn’t know when they would be rescued. "I’m not hungry right now; you eat first."
Aurelia hesitated for a moment and, without being pretentious, took a small bite of the chocolate, then offered it back to his mouth. "Eat a little; we don’t know how long we have to hold out. You need some strength."
Mason watched her lips move and suddenly dipped his head to capture hers in a deep kiss, filled with the taste of chocolate. He pulled away, chuckling lightly, "I ate too."
Despite his slick words, Aurelia didn’t say anything else, wrapped the chocolate back up, and placed it in his upper pocket.

The chocolate was nearly gone.
Mason hadn’t eaten a single piece.
Every time Aurelia offered him some, he would kiss her, consuming every bit of chocolate left in her mouth, then smirk and say, "I finished it."
Aurelia knew Mason was doing it for her, deliberately not eating, so every time he kissed her, she let him, even intentionally leaving some chocolate in her mouth.
On the fifth day, the rescue team finally found them.
Aurelia looked at Mason, but before she could speak, Mason seemed to know what she was going to say and spoke first, "You go up first."
Aurelia pursed her lips tightly. He was injured more seriously than she was; she had no injuries at all. "Mason, you first..."
"Be good, listen." Mason interrupted her, one arm already lifting her by the waist, hoisting her upwards.
The rescue team grasped Aurelia’s hands and pulled her out through a narrow opening.
Medical personnel immediately approached to examine her.
"I’m fine." Aurelia declined the medical staff’s assistance, kneeling by the hole, anxiously watching the person inside.
As sunlight shone in, she noticed how pale his face had become, his lips white and bloodless. Her fingers involuntarily gripped the ground, not realizing a sharp edge scratched her fingertips.
