Titan King: Ascension of the Giant-Chapter 1485: Grand Psalm: Supernova
The "Sacrifice" wasn’t the Saint offering up his own lifeblood; it was a weaponization of the prayers of the masses—a forced tithe of Faith Energy.
A torrential river of devotion was transmuted instantly into a scorching, offensive Holy Light. It erupted from the Goddess’s Crown, bathing Orion in a blinding luminescence.
It wasn’t heat; it was purification.
Orion felt his own Divine Power igniting, the foreign energy chewing through his reserves like acid eating through metal.
ROAR!
Orion bellowed, a shockwave of pure, unadulterated Battle Will exploding from his core. It was the evolved form of a warrior’s spirit, honed by his ascension to Demigod status, and it shoved the Holy Light back, creating a vacuum around him.
Having bought himself a breath, Orion didn’t retreat. His remaining six arms moved in unison, fists firing like siege cannons, hammering straight into the Shield of Guardianship.
"Rite of Absolution: The Hundredfold Reprisal!"
The Saint, bolstered by the Relics, wasn’t just tanking hits; he was playing 4D chess.
Orion’s fists connected with the Shield. The metal didn’t buckle. Instead, it hummed with a terrifying resonance, absorbing the kinetic energy, amplifying it, and firing it right back.
Caught off guard, Orion was blasted backward by the magnified force of his own strength. He tumbled through the air, looking distinctly ragged.
"Bro, is that what they call ’return to sender’?" Leonidas’s voice dripped with amusement from the sidelines. "Sting a little?"
Orion ignored the dragon. His eyes were locked on the Saint, who was already closing the distance, sword raised.
"Benediction: Warblade!"
The Saint was relentless, aiming to end the fight in a single breath. He swung the Holy Sword—a terrifying slash that cleaved the sky. But it was a feint.
The real killing blow came from below. The Boots of Speed flared, unleashing a razor-thin crescent of hard light that shot upward from a snap kick.
It was too fast. The light blade sliced clean through Orion’s titanic avatar.
Orion’s form split down the middle, dissipating into smoke before instantly coalescing a few hundred yards away. The avatar hadn’t been destroyed, but the bisection had taken a toll. The reformation consumed a massive chunk of energy, leaving Orion wary.
"I guess a major sect isn’t just for show," Orion grunted. He realized now that any organization bold enough to harvest faith on this scale had the teeth to back up their con.
"I told you. I will end you."
The Saint advanced again, the smugness returning to his face.
"Grand Psalm: Supernova."
This was the finisher. The source was the Star’s Protection floating behind the Saint—a Relic that had remained dormant until now.
In an instant, the Star collapsed and detonated like a miniature sun. It didn’t just shine; it drowned the world in white.
The light engulfed the Agaman Parish, the continent, and spilled out over the vast oceans of the World of Eldoria.
Far away, in the uncharted depths of the sea.
Ancient leviathans, disturbed by the sudden flash of divine radiation, stirred from their slumber and breached the surface.
"That signature... that’s the Agaman Holy Order’s ultimate fusion technique. The Supernova released by the Star Relic."
A colossal serpent head broke the waves, though the shadow beneath the water suggested a body miles long. "Why is there a Divine War on the continent?"
"Who cares what it is? As long as Agaman hasn’t broken the Covenant of the Tide, let them rot. The more Holy Knights that die, the better."
In a different stretch of ocean, a tentacle covered in unblinking eyes rose from the deep. There was no mouth visible, yet its voice resonated in the minds of the others.
"I smell strange Demigods... Undead... creatures of the Abyss," the tentacle mused. "Heh heh heh... It seems someone is poaching in the Agaman Holy Order’s pasture."
"Good. It’s about time someone made them pay for the blood debt of the last era."
In a third region, nothing broke the surface, but the water glowed with billions of bioluminescent plankton acting as a single hive mind.
"Who do you think will fall?" the hive mind asked, its voice high and feminine. "If Agaman loses, will these newcomers covet our oceans next?"
The Serpent flicked its tongue, tasting the mana in the air. "Agaman cannot lose. That Woman is too powerful. Even if she slumbers, she won’t let her farm burn down."
The Tentacle agreed instantly. "I stand with Agaman on this. We all know what That Woman is capable of."
"But... what if they do lose?" the hive mind pressed.
Silence fell over the three monstrosities.
They didn’t answer because they couldn’t. If a new power was strong enough to topple the Agaman Holy Order, then an alliance of three old sea monsters wouldn’t mean a damn thing. They would be crushed just the same.
The three leviathans sank back into the water, watching the distant land with fearful intent.
Grand Psalm: Supernova. A forbidden art that detonated Faith Energy for catastrophic damage. A high-tier miracle.
When the blinding light finally faded, the sky above the Agaman Temple was empty. Orion’s avatar had been vaporized. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
The Star’s Protection behind the Saint vanished along with him. The move had required the sacrifice of the Knight acting as the Star component—burning out over half his Divine Power to fuel the blast. He wasn’t dead, but his main body back at headquarters was likely in a coma.
"Now... it’s your turn, you vile wyrm."
The Saint turned slowly, sword in hand, fixing Leonidas with a look of pure venom.
"Vile wyrm? Me?" Leonidas clutched his chest with his small claws, looking scandalized. "Oh, I’m terrified!"
Then, abruptly, the dragon threw his head back and began to wail. Tears streamed down his snout like waterfalls.
"Brother! Oh, my poor brother! You died so miserably!"
The Saint stared, veins throbbing in his forehead.
"You’re gone, but what about your harem?" Leonidas bawled, his grief rapidly shifting into something sleazier. "I can’t bear to see your wives lonely and widowed!"
He sniffled, wiping a tear. "How about I introduce myself to them? Step up as the man of the house?"
The crying stopped instantly. Leonidas looked at the Saint with deadpan seriousness. "What do you think? Good plan?"
"You are insane," the Saint spat. He assumed the dragon was stalling or had simply lost his mind.
But then, a voice answered Leonidas from behind the Saint’s back.
"Terrible plan."
The Saint’s blood ran cold. He tried to blink away, but it was too late.
"Supernova. Nice light show," Orion whispered, his voice freezing the air. "But it’s my turn now. How would you like to die?"
Orion’s massive arms clamped around the Saint from behind in a bear hug. Five other arms materialized, seizing the Saint’s head, arms, and legs in an iron grip.
"Personally," Orion growled right into the Saint’s ear, "I’ve always been a fan of being drawn and quartered."
