The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system-Chapter 239: Skulking in the shadows
Alix looked at Tai Change apologetically. "First brother, it's not that I would not love to have dinner with you but we will have to do it on another day. Today is an important day for my husband and I. So, I need to go home." She put her hand on his arm and tapped it three times. "I am sorry."
Change was a married man so he couldn't stop her from attending to whatever important plans she had with her husband. He nodded calmly in understanding.
"Okay, next time I guess. And to save you time and effort, I will come directly to the school so that we can eat a meal together. Or, I will take you to an amusement park. Which one is better?" Tai Change looked at her rather eagerly.
He had asked friends and also researched on the internet. Brothers took their sisters to amusement parks. Even they were both a little too mature for that stage, he still considered a right of passage.
Alix nodded. "Amusement park."
It would be much more fun than ordinary dinner. "Brother, you can bring your wife and son too so that I can meet them. My nephew will probably enjoy the amusement park even more than me."
She was right about that. Tai Change figured that this would be a wonderful family outing after the winter fashion show which was just three days away. They would need to coordinate their schedules in order to make it happen. "I will send you dates to choose from."
"Mmm, I am looking forward to it." Alix smiled and gave him a side hug.
With a new plan made, Tai Change bid her farewell as well and he left.
Upon his departure, her eyes turned suddenly cold and she whirled around. The sudden changed in her demeanor puzzled Bi Cang that was leaning against the passenger side car door, waiting patiently for her. He looked around for any threats, following the movement of Alix's head and eyes and he stopped where she narrowed and concentrated her gaze on.
There were other cars in the parking lot of the police station, but only one was a nanny van. It was white in color, belonging to Lin Billi, Alix's sister. She had run out of the police station earlier so naturally, they all assumed that she was gone but apparently they were wrong. She was still very much here.
Her manager was standing outside of the van and he opened the door. Lo and behold! Lin Billi herself alighted from it.
Immediately, Bi Cang moved his feet and hurried over to protect Alix. Uncle Ju as well, exited the car in case Bi Cang needed back up.

Alix however shook her head and stopped them. She didn't anybody to protect her from in Billi. At this point, she could fling her away like a disgusting booger with just one flick from one of her fingers.
Swaying her waist and hips like a cat, as usual, Billi made her way towards Alix and planted herself firmly in front of her.
"Older, let's talk." she said, directly.
She didn't waste any time on pleasantries that she knew would not be well received.
Alix laughed dryly, and then she rolled her eyes. "Anyone that skulks around in the shadows with an invitation to talk never has anything good to say. You and I don't have anything to talk about Billi."
"Older sister...." Lin Billi started.
"Hey!" Alix yelled at her. "I told you to stop running around calling me older sister, older sister as if we are so close." With a heavy look of disgust in her eyes, Alix added, "It's disgusting for me to have a sister like you."
A sneer fell over Billi's face and she narrowed her eyes. "Disgusting?"
"Yes, disgusting." Alix affirmed. "In case you didn't know, you are actually older than me. Go and ask your mother why she had to fake your birth documents. But why bother anyway. You were born in the early years of my parents marriage so that makes you my father's first bastard child. Your mother is or was a mistress."
"Shut up,
shut up right now." Billi raised her voice.
She looked around wildly, hoping that nobody had heard what Alix had just said.
Alix on the other hand noticed that Billi cared more about shutting her up than asking about the unsubstantiated claims which she had just made. She covered her mouth with her right hand and laughed. "You don't look surprised."
Billi blinked rapidly and she continued looking around like a thief. Her mind raced with questions like how had Alix figured out this secret. Where had she found information which had been meticulously erased and scrubbed from existence?
"Oh my God you actually knew this all along." Light soft laughter escaped from Alix's lips as she realized that she was truly right about Billi. "You knew your mother's dirty little secret all along."
This, Alix figured must have been one of the reasons why Billi hated her so much. She was Lin Qianfan's first bastard after all while Alix was purely legitimate.
She looked at Billi and nodded her head almost in understanding. "Then again, your mother has always been very paranoid about your father getting himself a mistress so she said something to you. I always wondered why she would sniff his shirts before handing them over to maids for washing. She would even empty his pockets in search of things."
Alix pocked her head forward towards Billi and whispered, "It must have been that thing, the rubber, protection, you know condom."
Lin Billi raised her hands to shove Alix away from herself. She was so furious that her breathing was quite loud and heavy.
Alix caught her hands and used the momentum Billi applied against her. Billi went stumbling backwards and she fell into the open arms of her waiting manager.
Alix smiled and said loudly so that Billi would not miss a single thing that she said. "Your mother tried her best but it was all futile. Once a cheater, always a cheater. Your father did played around and he got himself a very big prize outside."
Billi's face fell as realization came over her. The three words combined in her mind, cheating, futile and big prize. A somewhat skeptical but also suspicious look came over her eyes which were so narrowed thanks to all the anger Alix had stirred up inside of her.
"Let's go." Billi's manager whispered to her.
Billi however shook her head and pushed her manager aside. It was not easy getting a chance to talk to this bitch Alix anymore so when the opportunity came along, she had to utilize it well.
She said to Alix in a suspicious voice, "You are talking as if you know something."
Alix shrugged and smiled impishly. "Maybe, maybe not."
"Which is it?" Billi barked at her.
"I don't have to tell you." Again, Alix shrugged and mocked, taking pleasure in playing around with Billi like this. "But you can try and guess."
Billi's small nostrils flared and she folded her arms across her chest. She decided whether Alix knew a thing about the bastard son or not did not matter. What mattered was that she got in what she wanted to say and warned Alix.
"Don't bother showing up that dinner on Friday. I am warning you right now. If you do, I will not be as merciful to you as I have been in the past."
She turned on her right heel and walked away without waiting for Alix to reply.
