Chapter 1227: Chapter 762: Niu Ma: How About You Whip Me with a Riding Crop?

Si Xue made a grasping motion in the air, and the newborn dragon flew into the Obsidian Pillar like a fledgling swallows returning to the forest.

"Lake God, release the other eight."

She said.

The Lake God didn’t speak, but soon four more Obsidian Pillars rose from Crescent Lake.

With five Obsidian Pillars standing side by side, from left to right were the Red Dragon, Blue Dragon, Green Dragon, White Dragon, and Black Dragon.

"Now the Five-Colored Dragon Clan is complete. Next time, let’s capture some Metal Dragons to replenish the stock."

Si Xue said thoughtfully as she looked at the pillars.

Liu Zheng observed with his eyes and mind, fearing that this task might fall to him again.

Luckily, Si Xue didn’t seem to have that in mind, only waving to summon the five pillars.

As the pillars flew, they rapidly shrank in size and by the time they landed before her, they were the size of a beam.

"Since the Nine Dragons are gathered, you should deliver them."

Si Xue took out four Dragon-shaped Jade Talismans and tossed them to Liu Zheng.

"Yes. Infinite Heavenly Venerable..."

Liu Zheng stored the four Jade Talismans into the Qiankun Ring and attempted to store the Obsidian Pillars as well, but they wouldn’t budge.

"They are of a special nature; you can’t store them with storage equipment."

Si Xue said.

"Then I’ll just have to move them out."

With that, he bent down, hugged one of the Obsidian Pillars, and pulled with effort.

Good news: the Obsidian Pillars weren’t as heavy, and Liu Zheng could lift them.

Bad news: they weren’t so light either, and lifting just one was quite a challenge.

"What to do now?"

Liu Zheng put down the pillar and fell into thought.

The Qiankun Ring can’t store them, and the System Space doesn’t count as an item. Should he drive a vehicle over to transport them?

He didn’t mind, but he wondered if Si Xue would permit it.

"So many pillars, do you want to carry them by yourself?"

Just as he was about to suggest something, Si Xue spoke.

Liu Zheng was about to pledge his loyalty but met Si Xue’s meaningful gaze.

"Hmm?"

His mind raced, and he quickly thought of a possibility.

"Boss, I request that the Minister of the Delivery Department, Niu Ma, handle this transportation task, and I will assist from the sidelines."

He quickly organized his words and said.

"This is your job, so you are responsible. However, it can assist."

Si Xue said.

"Yes, I’ll call it over right away."

Liu Zheng said.

"No need. Go wait outside the restaurant; it’ll come find you soon."

Si Xue shook her head.

"Yes, then I shall head out."

"Hmm."

She responded faintly.

Liu Zheng turned and headed for the elevator, with the previously suppressed sandstorm by Si Xue stirring up again.

He glanced back and saw Si Xue walking into the yellow sands, leaving only the pipa embedded in the ground, gradually being buried by the sands.

Liu Zheng, driven by an inexplicable impulse, returned, picked up the pipa, shook off the sand, and plucked a few strings.

Even though he didn’t understand music, he could tell that the pipa’s sound wasn’t quite right.

"I’ll find someone to fix it outside. Infinite Heavenly Venerable."

Liu Zheng stored the pipa in the Qiankun Ring, turned around, and walked into the elevator, then exited the delivery passage to the outside of the restaurant.

After waiting for a while, Niu Ma came out of the delivery passage pulling a large cart, laden with the five Obsidian Pillars.

"You’ve really signed me up for a great job."

Niu Ma grumbled.

It had been lying there comfortably reading a racy magazine, when suddenly it was called out to haul a cart, and had to find the cart itself. Who can bear that?

"The capable do more."

Liu Zheng replied with a cheeky grin.

"I see you’re quite capable yourself. How about you do it?"

Niu Ma feigned to release the ropes on its body.

"I’m doing this for your own good, great one. If I do all the work, where would you earn credit?"

He said with a serious face.

No matter how well you deliver takeout, it still counts as your main duty. Excelling in your main duty isn’t very conducive to being promoted.

After all, every world’s managers intuitively know the skill of using the reliable to the point of exhaustion.

Contributions allow for making demands, and transporting Obsidian Pillars is a task that earns credit without being overly significant.

Though Si Xue agreed to let Niu Ma resign, she needed a reason to convince the restaurant, and this was the reason she gave to Niu Ma, or Liu Zheng, rather.

Of course, this was just Liu Zheng’s assumption, and it might not have been Si Xue’s true intention.

"So I should be thanking you?"

Niu Ma said sarcastically.

"A junior should look out for their senior. Of course, if you really want to thank me, I wouldn’t mind."

Liu Zheng smiled.

"Should I let you sit on the cart and whip me, enjoy being the master for once, would that be good?"

Niu Ma kindly asked.

"Of course... not. A junior should lead the horse and hold the reins for their senior, not treat them like a horse to be whipped."

He replied earnestly.

"Smart reply. Let’s get this unfortunate task done quickly."

Niu Ma urged.

"Alright."

Liu Zheng didn’t drive, and instead helped Niu Ma push the cart to the clinic entrance.

Before leaving, he had called The Fool to arrange a meeting at the clinic door.

"The Five-Colored Dragon Clan is gathered as a set, and they are all ancient and powerful. To think I could witness such a grand scene with my own eyes, being an Immortal Species really has its perks; living long enough means anything is possible."

Doctor Nile marveled as he circled the five Obsidian Pillars.

Dragons are rare even in the Metropolis, and when they do appear, it’s mostly in humanoid form. Rarely does one get the chance to see a dragon’s true form, let alone all five at once from the Five-Colored Dragon Clan.

If there were a "Five-Colored Dragon Clan Dance" show at the Grand Theater, the tickets would probably sell out.
