The Wicked Female Is Wild and Scheming, Living in a Love Battlefield Every Day-Chapter 36: Want to Eat? Do Some Work!
Corbin Crowley transformed back into human form and watched as she handed Kian Sterling a plate full of pork intestines, which Kian ate with relish.
Perhaps it was psychological, but it seemed even more delicious.
He couldn’t help but swallow, his gaze involuntarily falling on the stone pot and the remaining half-pot of stir-fried pork intestines.
Silver eyes flashed with hesitation.
He wanted to eat, but couldn’t put aside his pride.
Luna Sutton noticed his gaze and found it amusing.
Why hesitate? If you want to eat, just eat. No one would mock him.
She deliberately picked up a piece of pork intestine and put it in her mouth, eating with satisfaction and smacking her lips.
Corbin Crowley: "..."
His face turned darker, disdainfully looking away and refusing to see her.
This damned fat lady, she was definitely doing it on purpose.
Rhys Blackwood, Zeke Veridian, and Malachi Arcanus’s gaze uncontrollably fell on the stir-fried pork intestines in the stone pot and the stone plate Luna Sutton just picked up to eat.
Smelled so good, it must be delicious.
Luna Sutton took in their reactions, amused at heart.
She curled her lips and looked at the three with a teasing expression, saying, "There’s still some pork intestines in the pot, do you want to try them?"
The three of them stiffened at her words, exchanged glances, and showed some interest.
But couldn’t bring themselves to speak, unsure of what to say.
Especially Zeke Veridian, his character cold and aloof, very concerned with saving face; even if he wanted to eat, he definitely wouldn’t ask.
Malachi Arcanus was used to being a loner and wouldn’t proactively speak up to request anything.
Rhys Blackwood did want to try, but seeing that the other two showed no intention of asking, felt that if he did, he’d seem too greedy.
Thinking this way, he gave up the idea.
Luna Sutton watched the three clearly wanting to eat but unable to set aside their pride, caught in a dilemma, her lips twitching slightly.
She got that these Beast Husbands were all too concerned about their faces.
Amused at heart, she kept a straight face as she spoke calmly, "Since none of you are eating, I’ll give it all to Kian Sterling. He worked hard last night making barrels and basins for me and helped set up the stove today, he deserves a reward."
With that, she emptied all the remaining stir-fried pork intestines into the stone plate before Kian Sterling.
The just-emptied plate was instantly piled high, forming a small mountain.
Kian Sterling looked at the full pig intestines in front of him, his beautiful fox eyes full of joy, extremely happy.
Though his stomach was already full and a bit overstuffed.
But it didn’t matter.
If he couldn’t finish, he could save it for the evening, such delicious food could never be too much.
He looked up at Luna Sutton, happily saying, "Thank you."
Luna Sutton smiled slightly, unconcernedly responding, "No need to be so polite, you helped me out, you deserve this."
Thinking that Kian Sterling had already eaten two large plates, he might be too full.
She added, "If you can’t finish, you can take it back with you for later, it’s okay."
Hearing this, Kian Sterling was even happier, and found her very considerate.
His gaze on her softened considerably, finding this unattractive female perhaps not so detestable after all.
"Ding, congratulations to the host, Kian Sterling’s favorability +10, current favorability 0. Achievement reached: No Feeling Stage, reward: Tooth Correction. Would the host like to correct now?"
The system’s voice suddenly echoed in her mind.
Luna Sutton raised an eyebrow at the words, inwardly pleased, not expecting the favorability to reach 0 so quickly.
She chose no, not to correct now.
Considering so many Beastmen were present, if she suddenly no longer had buck teeth, it might arouse suspicion.
Better wait until everyone was gone and correct slowly with no one around.
Kian Sterling stood up, happily thanked Luna Sutton.
And left carrying the stone plate, not forgetting to take the chopsticks as well.
When leaving, he deliberately walked past Corbin Crowley.
Corbin Crowley watched the large plate of pork intestines pass by, having a momentary urge to snatch it.
But considering how disgraceful it would be, he didn’t do it.
Looking at Kian Sterling’s smug face, his expression darkened further.
This fox isn’t just annoying, it’s definitely on purpose.
Rhys Blackwood, Zeke Veridian, and Malachi Arcanus watched Kian Sterling leave with a large plate of pork intestines, a glint of envy in their eyes.
Especially Zeke Veridian, cold and aloof in nature, but in terms of gourmet food, like most Beastmen, he had no resistance.
The aroma of those pork intestines kept wafting into his nose, stirring his appetite.
Watching Kian Sterling leave with delight, he couldn’t help but regret.
If he’d spoken up earlier, could he have gotten a share?
Rhys Blackwood and Malachi Arcanus might not have spoken, but their expressions showed regret as well.
Luna Sutton took their reactions into account, lips subtly curving up, amused at heart.
She raised her eyes to the trio, smiling as she said, "The pot is empty now, but if you want to eat, I can make something else. I happen to have prepared innards in my cave from yesterday; the taste won’t be worse than pork intestines, do you want to eat them?"
If not for the favorability enhancement, she wouldn’t bother cooking.
Their gaze instantly fell on her, surprised.
Could she make something else?
This ugly woman—no, Luna Sutton seemed so generous, why?
Couldn’t she be harboring bad intentions?
Luna Sutton saw their eager yet suspicious eyes, secretly scoffing, cursing: Dog men, daring to doubt me, I’m not even willing to make it.
She snorted, unhappily saying, "I’m not giving it to you for free; I need you to work. My cave needs a set of tables and chairs, the table for placing things, and chairs to sit on. You need to find some wooden stumps and a smooth, flat and wide wooden board, stone slab would work too, base needs support. I’ll draw the specific style for you, what do you say?"
Want to eat? Work is a must!
The three exchanged a look, seeing confusion in each other’s eyes.
Having no idea what tables and chairs were.
But from her description, they understood the use.
Clearly, it’s good stuff.
They could imagine, if they had those tables and chairs, it would be much more convenient later for eating or other tasks.
Moreover, it seemed like all they needed to do was help make tables and chairs, and they’d get something tasty?
With that thought, they stopped doubting.
Rhys Blackwood was the first to nod, "Alright, we’ll get on it now."
Malachi Arcanus might not have spoken, but nodded in agreement.
Zeke Veridian snorted lightly, counting as a yes.
Luna Sutton saw their agreement and found a tree branch, squatted on the grassless, relatively loose soil ground, and sketched a simple table and chair design along with required sizes.
Rhys Blackwood, Zeke Veridian, Malachi Arcanus all leaned in to look.
The surrounding Beastmen and females also gathered around.
Wanting to see what tables and chairs were, if they’re truly good items, they wouldn’t mind making set for their caves.
Even Corbin Crowley curiously leaned in to see.
Luna Sutton watched the gathered Beastmen and females, amused but indifferent.
Pointed at the simple design on the ground and explained, "These are tables and chairs. Make them following this design, sizes are noted here — height must match, not too high, not too low, or they’ll be uncomfortable to sit in."
Originally thinking it couldn’t be done due to lack of tools and nails, tables and chairs seemed impossible.
Until Kian Sterling carved out wooden barrels and basins for her, she suddenly realized Beastmen had sharp claws.
Tool doesn’t matter, claws can carve.
As long as the shape is carved as she wants it.
Realizing Rhys Blackwood at his snake form wouldn’t have claws, might make it difficult.
