"Do what?’’ I ask in shock at his words.

"Read the book. That is the only option we have.’’

I can’t believe his words. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚

The reason why I am being haunted right now is because I read the other book and now he wants to do the same thing that I did that put us in this mess?

"That makes no sense Blue. Don’t start something that might end badly."

He sighs "I know, I just feel like this is the only way we can end this. Don’t you think so too? Don’t you want to go home?’’ he asks me.

"Isn’t there any other solution?’’

He shakes his head "We are at the end of our road. I don’t know what else we could possibly do to make this right.’’

Blue’s eyes dart back and forth. He is watching me and there is this look of desperation that I wish I could take out of his eyes. He seems to think that this is the only solution to this.

"You were the one that told me the any book with dark magic is not a good idea. Somehow, we are still tied to the one we have and you want to add another one to it?’’ I ask him because I need to understand what he is talking about.

He lets out a breath.

"We have no choice."

"I think Blue is right. Darkness only follows people that want it. We don’t want it. it would never stick to us as long as we have good inside us."

"We don’t all have only good inside us. Everyone has darkness in them.’

That is just how I feel and I don’t know if this is just me speaking from that part in my life that was tethered to Rogers but I also don’t know if we should take the chance.

"We need to try; Major is going to be with us. So at least we have someone with a lot more experience than me.’

I sigh and then run my fingers through my hair.

"Okay.’’

I watch him as he manages a smile. There is only one thing I am sure of in all of this and that is my trust fort him. I trust him, I trust Rex. I know that I can always rely on them. I know that they will only do what they think is best for us all.

"Can I be there?" I ask.

He nods "I think so. Since you are the only one that can see the ghosts. It makes more sense.’’

"I want to be there too,’’ Rex pipes up. I look at him and I feel a difference in his confidence. Ever since he asked to leave the coven, something has changed. I like this side of him. I wouldn’t mind seeing it more.

"Sure babe, if this is all over before the weekend, we can go home on Saturday’ as those words leave Blue’s lips, I can feel the excitement of me and my wolf. Just the thought of going back to the community is exciting to me.

"Can you guys dress up; I want to take you out for dinner?" Blue manages with a grin on his face slowly walking over to us. Rex is closer to me but the minute Blue gets to me, I feel him as he takes a step closer too.

"What do you have planned? Should we even be going out right now?’’ I ask as he grabs my hands in his tightly. The smile widens on my face because we haven’t had a single intimate moment since we got here and I miss him—I miss them. I pull Rex closer to me with my other free hand and his warmth soothes me completely.

"Don’t you want to have a break; cause I would like that. A night away from this place. Just the three of us,’’ his eyes dart from me to Rex.

This all sounds too tempting and I don’t even have the will to resist this because this sis something that we actually need. We haven’t ever really focused on. Ourselves and our relationship. I haven’t really had a chance to explore the two of them without any interruptions and I miss our intimate moments.

I miss it just being the three of us and not having to worry about anything.

"come on, just say yes guys,’’ he whispers so low that I almost don’t hear him. His voice is very calm, i don’t think I have ever heard him as unruffled as he sounds right now.

"Dinner away from the coven, I wouldn’t mind that.’’ I manage as he slides his hand around my waist. I feel him as he plants a sexy kiss on my lips. the kiss is quick but I feel everything as I watch him do the same with Rex. this is all exciting and I don’t think I mind having this night with them.

If we can forget about everything.

Fiorget about Analise and what we are going to have to do tomorrow. This might just be a reason for Blue to escape his reality but I don’t mind giving that to him. As long as I get to spend this time with them.

"Great,’’ he turns to Rex and grabs his hands "What about you baby?’’

Rex has a dazed expression on his face. His cheeks are red "I don’t mind either,’’ he blushes with a stutter.

Blue jumps up and I watch him as he grabs a bag from the closet "We don’t need much clothes. We will be back tomorrow. I have made reservations and booked the hotels."

I don’t know when he had the time to plan this but I love this. I love that we are leaving the coven.

Maybe I will finally be able to breathe once we get out of here.

I haven’t been able to breathe properly since we got here. The air around this place is just tainted.

A night out should be fun.
