The Web of Knightspur-Chapter 91: Detoxify
Nia opened the door when she heard knocking on them.
She was confused as Princess Eleanor was taking a rest but when she saw people wearing white robes standing outside that they were the healers.
"The Princess is asleep," Nia tried to say but the Priestess looked at her as if she was hearing something funny.
"I think as the lady in waiting you will not mind walking up the Princess," A voice said, making Nia’s body stiffen.
Her eyes widened as she saw people moving around and giving the way to the man. Nia swallowed hard as she bowed her head, "Priest Erasmus,"
Priest Erasmus smiled as he looked at Nia. "You can always wake the Princess up, can’t you? After all, we are here to make her feel better."
Nia nodded her head. She swallowed hard as she said, "I will wake the Princess up."
Nia walked inside the room as everyone else stayed outside waiting for the Princess to permit them.
"Princess," Nia said in a soft tone. To her surprise Princess Eleanor was awake.
"Are they the healers?" Princess Eleanor asked as she got up from the bed. Before she could sleep she heard some voices coming from outside. No matter how hard she tried, Princess Eleanor could not sleep now.
Nia nodded her head, "And Priest Erasmus."
Princess Eleanor’s eyes narrowed as she heard the words. Heresight moved at the distance where the door was. Although she could not see anyone there, but she could imagine them all standing there waiting for her to allow them inside.
Princess Eleanor’s lips curled up. She got up and she looked at her leg. The wound was still fresh. "We cannot let Priest Erasmus be waiting for us. Why don’t you let them inside."
Nia nodded her head as she made sure that the Princess was well dressed and presentable. Princess Eleanor smiled as she touched Nia’s hand as she asked in a whisper, "How does my face look?"
Nia looked at Princess Eleanor. Her skin had paled while she did not look as full of life as she used to be. Princess Eleanor’s eyes were tired as prominent dark circles were under her eyes. Even her lips were dry and pale.
"The princess looks sick," Nia said as she wanted to say something more. She wanted to ask the Princess if she should apply some makeup on her face but before the suggestion could be given she heard Princess Eleanor giggle.
"Princess?" Nia asked with a confused gaze.
"It is good that I look sick and go and call them." Princess Eleanor pushed Nia out in a hurry and as her lady in waiting., Nia could only sigh and walk out to let everyone inside.
Priest Erasmus entered the room as he saw the Princess sitting in the bed. She looked straight at him as she smiled.
Princess Eleanor got up with a limping leg as she bowed her head. "Priest Erasmus,"
Priest Erasmus looked at the Princess as he could clearly identify where the Princess might have gotten hurt.
He could feel her limp as nodded his head, "The God is with you," Priest Erasmus said as he looked at the Princess’s lady in waiting. "Help the Princess,"
Nia nodded her head in a hurry. She did not know why but she felt helpless in front of the man.
Priest Erasmus was known to be the man of God and Princess Eleanor could understand why. He had an aura around him that made it hard for anyone to ignore.
Princess Eleanor looked up as she saw the man himself. She always knew that Priest Erasmus is a man who was young but she was shocked to see how young the Priest actually looked.
’He is younger than I thought,’ Princess Eleanor smiled as she thought to herself. ’He has an aura surrounding him that demands power,’
Princess Eleanor sat on the bed as she looked around her. Along with Priest Erasmus, there were a few Priestesses and healers. She could feel that they were all the people who trusted Priest Erasmus wholeheartedly. They were the people who could do anything for him
’He had the power over people,’ Princess Eleanor tilted her head as she looked at Priest Erasmus who was observing her. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
"I heard that the Princess is sick. Apart from the wound, is something else bothering you?" Priest Erasmus asked as he moved his hand.
Princess Eleanor could see all the Prienstress move her dress a little but Princess Eleanor took her leg back. Her eyes sharpened as she bit her lips. "In our Kingdom, we do not allow anyone else to do this. Let me," Princess Eleanor said with a smile as she moved her dress up only so that her wound was visible.
"But Princess Eleanor is at the Empire," Priest Erasmus said as he narrowed his gaze.
"Yes, but I also know that the Empire and the temple respect other Kingdom’s cultures too." Princess Eleanor blinked her eyes innocently. Her tone was naturally low as if she did not mean any harm.
Priest Erasmus did not say anything as he let the healers do their work. "Princess is poisoned."
One of the healers said as he looked at Priest Erasmus, "Maybe the weapon that they used to attach had poison in it."
Priest Erasmus was silent as he looked at Princess Eleanor. Her face was shouting and telling him that she was sick.
"Let us detoxify it then. We can do it with ease," Priest Erasmus said as he looked at the healers. "God will help us in this. The Princess will be well."
The healer nodded his head as he looked at the Princess, "I hope the Princes cooperate with the treatment. We are hoping to cure you before you move to the Royal Palace along with all the Crown Princesses candidates within two days."
"I hope so too," Princess Eleanor nodded her head as she looked down at her legs. "I really hope so too."
