The Web of Knightspur-Chapter 85: Going Somewhere?

Nia walked into the room in silence.

Princess Eleanor could see that Nia was a little shocked. She could not understand what was wrong with her lady in waiting. Princess Eleanor looked around only to realize that Nia did not bring anything with her. There was no food and she looked in a daze.

’Did something happen?’ Princess Eleanor asked. She could not understand the uneasiness in her lady in waiting’s gaze and that made her speechless.

"Nia, did something happen?" Princess Eleanor asked as she looked at her lady in waiting carefully. She wanted to know what happened. "Did you tell Sir Kit?"

Nia came back to reality as she shook her head. "I was called by the Priest."

As soon as Princess Eleanor listens to the words her heart beats quickened. She took a deep breath as she took hold of Nia’s hand and pulled her into the room.

"Priest Erasmus called you? Why?" Princess Eleanor asked. Her eyes sharpened as she looked at Nia who was shaken. She understood that her lady in waiting had suffered but could not pinpoint on anything.

’Did the Priest say something that made Nia so shocked? Why would he call her there? Did they do something to Nia?’ Princess Eleanor’s eyes narrowed as she started observing her lady in waiting. She would not see any marks of harm on her but that did not make Princess Eleanor’s heart quiet.

"Nia?" Princess Eleanor said when she observed that her lady in waiting had gone into a daze.

Nia looked up at the Princess as she bit her lips, "The Priest wanted my help to make sure that your wound gets treated here itself. They will be sending the healer here soon."

Princess Eleanor was silent. She could see by the look at it that Nia was affected a lot. "Did the Priest talk with you alone?"

Nia nodded her head. "He was there alone. He looks desperate to make the wound disappear as soon as possible."

"So let’s make things a little hard." Princess Eleanor walked towards her lady in waiting and touched her hand softly. "Nia, you need to listen very carefully. Get me the perfume and add a small amount of the root powder to the food and get it here soon. If the Priest is desperate then he will monitor everything."

Nia was silent. She could not say anything. Nia knew that what Princess Eleanor wanted to do was dangerous. What if they get discovered. The Princess will be in huge trouble and Nia understood it clearly. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

"Princess, this..." Nia wanted to say so many things but when she looked up at Princess Eleanor face she swallowed her words.

"Nia, get me, Sir Kit. I need to talk to him soon. And don’t forget to hand me the perfume." Princess Eleanor said with a straight face. Her eyes showed her unhappiness as if she did not want to listen to anything else.

"Yes," Nia said as she bit her lips. She nodded her head as she walked towards a cabinet and took a bottle of perfume. "Princess, this will harm you. Please I request you to use it as little as possible."

Princess Eleanor was silent. Her eyes were on the glass vial as she took it from her lady in waiting’s hand. "Nia, I want to talk with Sir Kit now. Make sure he is here before the healer will be and when you have a word with him make sure to tell him that I think the Priest will make people observe my door. And I don’t want anyone to know he was here."

Nia nodded her head as she left the room. But before she was out she heard Princess Eleanor’s words, "Act normal Nia. We have not done anything."

As soon as Nia went out she stood at the door. Her back faced the closed door as she took a deep breath.

Nia knew that there was no way she could not help the Princess. Even though it was harmful and dangerous Nia knew she had to help the Princess as much as she could. Nia looked at her hand, which had a ring.

’I think it is time to use it. But I just wish it will not harm Princess Eleanor,’ Nia thought as she walked towards the kitchen, ’I need to inform Sir Kit, but where will I find him?’

Nia looked around in a daze. All the rooms in the corridor were for the Princesses. Nia was a little confused. How will she find the one where the escorts are staying?

’Did they give room for escorts?’ Nia bit her lips. She could not understand whom to ask. Princess Eleanor did not want anyone to know that she was looking for Sir Kit.

Nia walked at a distance as she looked around. She was confused as nothing made sense to her. She could see a few knights standing at guard but she could not trust them.

Nia had observed that the Crown Prince had knights surrounding him. Nia knew that Sir Kit belonged to House Beaumont but she could not distinguish which knights were from house Beaumont and even if they were, who knew that they would not inform the Crown Prince or the Priest.

They were on the temple’s grounds and everything here was monitored by the Priest. Nia was silent as she took a few steps in an unknown direction.

Nia looked in the direction as she saw one of the knights who was traveling with him. ’Should I ask him? I can tell him that I had given something to Sir Kit for safekeeping that he had forgotten to return. Yes, that might work but I need to look more convincing.’

Nia thought as she took deep breathing making sure that her voice would not tremble in the end. She did not want the man to doubt her and refused to tell her where Sir Kit was.

Once Nia was confident that she would be convincing enough she took a step forward but soon a word stopped her step, "Going somewhere."
