Chapter 84: Doctor

Princess Eleanor looked at the table.

The dishes were filled with different types of food. Everything looks different and colorful. Princess Eleanor looked around. She could see that everyone was enjoying the food as if it was the best dish they had ever eaten.

Princess Eleanor was silent as she looked at her plate. She knew that everyone was looking at everyone. They all wanted to show that they were elegant and a perfect match for being the Crown Princess.

Princess Eleanor felt speechless as she started eating. The taste was much better than the food she had eaten in the temple. It never meant that the temple’s food was bad but it was not comparable to the dishes in front of her.

Princess Eleanor could feel the taste of spices. They were well balanced as the taste was filling her mind.

"Is it painful?" Princess Vida asked as she looked at Princess Eleanor who was eating slowly.

"A little," Princess Eleanor smiled as she blinked nervously. "I just don’t want the Crown Prince to be angry,"

Princess Vida nodded her head in understanding. She could not say anything else as she continued eating.

When it came to the Crown prince they were all hoping to catch his attention. This was a great opportunity that they had gotten to interact with the man himself with whom they were going to get married.

Princess Vida looked back at her lady in waiting who was talking and smiling with the Angevin Kingdom’s Princess’s lady in waiting. "They are getting along," Princess Vida murmured under her breath.

Princess Eleanor could not help but look back. She could clearly see what Princess Vida was trying to say. Nia was getting along with her lady in waiting. It was not a usual thing but it felt a little odd.

Princess Eleanor’s eyes sharpened but before her mind could come up with anything else she saw princess Vida look at her as if she was waiting for her response.

Princess Eleanor nodded her head in agreement. "Yes, it is a good thing that they are getting along with each other."

Princess Eleanor did not say anything anymore, They both got busy eating lunch and soon it was time to return back to their rooms.

As soon as Princess Eleanor entered the room, her lady in waiting closed the door as she looked at her master.

"Princess, do you want something else to eat?" Nia asked as she observed Princess Eleanor closely. She had seen a slight change in her expression when she was eating.

Nia did not know how the food tasted but she was sure that Princess Eleanor did not like the food a lot. Maybe it was because the food was not to her liking but Nia had seen that the Princess had only eaten a few spoonful’s of the dishes.

"Nia, Get me a glass of water." Princess Eleanor said with a sigh. She was not happy with the things happening around her. An uneasy feeling was getting on her nerves. "And ask Sir Kit to come here. I need to talk with him."

Nia’s eyes widened. Her gaze stayed on the Princess but soon she nodded her head in understanding. "I will,"

Nia walked out of the door and she looked back for a brief second. She could feel that the Princess was uneasy. Something was bothering her and Nia felt helpless.

’Maybe Sir Kit can help the Princess. I hope that he can help her,’ Nia thought with a sigh. Her gaze shivered as she shook her head. She understood that she was still the lady in waiting for Princess Eleanor. One of her good friends. But she also knew that she could not be of any help to her at times like this.

Princess Eleanor wanted to have someone to talk to but it was not Nia, it was Sir Kit and that hurt her, But Nia was helpless.

Princess Eleanor was silent as she looked at the closed door. Her eyes were narrowed as she couldn’t help but be angry at the man.

Princess Eleanor walked towards the bed and she sat down in a daze. Her eyes were looking outside the window.

Today’s situation was tense. If the Crown Prince had found even a little interest in her then the situation would be severe in the future.

’No, I am thinking too much. The Crown Prince is known to be a flirt. He cannot find me attractive. It is impossible." Princess Eleanor though.

Her eyes looked down at her body as she saw the dress she was wearing. Princess Eleanor shook her head. It was the simplest dress she had brought. It was a risky decision that she had taken.

Princess Eleanor did not want to be the Crown Princess but she still wanted to enter the Royal Palace, especially after she had seen the badge on the Crown Prince’s clothes.

Princess Eleanor’s eyes sharpened as she took a deep breath. She knew that this was not the right time to think about anything else. It was time to plan accordingly and act. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

Princess Eleanor was silent as she stared at the closed door. She knew that Nia would be struggling to call Sir Kit but she was confident that her lady in waiting would not disappoint her. There will be results and she was looking forward to it.

Nia walked into the kitchen as she sat down to make something when she was called by someone. Her eyes were shivering in shock as she entered a place unknown to her.

A new place with unknown people was a different experience for her but Nia took a deep breath as she walked into the room with a smile. She saw a man sitting on the chair against the light.

Looking at his clothes, Nia was confident that the man was a Priest. Nia smiled as she bowed her head.

The man got up from his chair as he walked toward Nia, "So you are Princess Eleanor’s lady in waiting?"

Nia nodded her head but she did not look up. Her gaze was filled with many expressions but she managed to keep them in control.

"Look up my child," The man said as he continued, "Don’t be afraid. I am called Priest Erasmus. I hope you have heard my name."

Nia nodded her head and she looked at the Priest who called himself Priest Erasmus. Nia knew that the man was young but he was way younger than she had imagined. But the question still remained, why would he call her heart alone.

"Are you wondering why I called you?" Priest Easrmus said as he looked at Nia. His lips curled up as he took a step forward. "I am a little worried about the Princess. I heard she is injured. Why don’t you help me with this? Let’s make the Princess get well soon,"

Nia was silent but she could not understand what Priest Erasmus was getting at. "How does the Priest want my help?"

Priest Erasmus looked into Nia’s eyes. He could feel like she did not trust him at all. He had no other choice but to be silent and compose his thoughts.

Princess Eleanor was hurt and it was on him to make sure that she becomes healthy by the time she was in the temple. It was not only a matter of responsibility but people’s beliefs were attached to it. People have come to the temple in hopes of getting cured. They had the best healers in the Empire but if they could not heal the Crown Princess’s candidate then the temple would be the one suffering.

Priest Erasmus was sure not to let Duke Beaumont get an opportunity to bring the Princess to his mansion. He knew that Doctor Raul was the best man there was to treat anyone but then it would also mean that they were giving the power to House Beaumont.

"As a lady in waiting you must take care of the Princess." Priest Erasmus said. His eyes were sharp as he tilted his head a little. "I want you to make sure that the Princess is heating all the medicines properly. We cannot let the Princess suffer here."

Nia was silent as she observed the man. She could understand that the man was obsessed with something. Something she did not know anything about.

Princess Eleanor nodded her head in understanding. She was in no position to deny his request. "I understand,"

Priest Erasmus smiled as he saw the Angevin’s Princess’s lady in waiting following his order. A feeling of superiority emerged in his heart.

"God will bless you for your help. By taking care of the Crown Princess’s candidate you are helping the Empire and God will not neglect you, my child."

Nia was silent but she listened to Priest Erasmus. "The healers will soon visit the chambers. Let’s just hope that Princess Eleanor cooperates and we manage to get the wound treated as soon as possible."

Nia nodded her head as she bowed softly. Her eyes narrowed as her mind was filled with many thoughts.
