The Villianess story: A 100 ways to kill your husband-Chapter 422: The Goddess wishes
Chapter 422: The Goddess wishes
"Has the box been opened?"
Nyxoria smiled, "No, I am not going to help a follower of the woman that made me come back here." Callista’s heart squeezed, and her gaze went cold.
"You know of all my descendants that have been sent here, you are the only one who is different. The only one who chose another goddess over her mother. If it were just any goddess, I would not mind, but it had to be the one that ruined everything for me." Nyxoria angrily said
"I am sorry but I had to survive. I was cast out of...." Nyxoria sighed bored with the story Callista was about to say
"I know your story, everything from the part where your grandmother swapped your dying body with a healthy baby because she was scared her daughter would suffer. It was annoying how she thought someone with my blood would easily die. I know you, Callista, I have been watching you." Nyxoria explained
The force on Callista was moved and she managed to sit upright on the cold ground. "If you know everything you will understand why I need your help. I must eliminate that impostor that has been living my life all this time." Her hand clenched into a tight fist with her jaw gritting.
Nyxoria was not moved. "Personally I do not have anything against Abrielle. You don’t have to kill her, fate would do the work. Although I hate that bastard.." Nyxoria had anger in her gaze as she thought of a distant past.
Callista bowed her head. "Please, holy mother, what will I do for you to help me?" She begged.
"I am not the one you should be begging but the one you owe loyalty to." Nyxoria shrugged then went back to her seat. "You can leave now, send greetings to Pierre for me. He must have grown older by now. How fickle are mortals’ lives " She waved off Callista and started to play her harp again but Callista was not ready to leave
She could not afford to fail. "Please I am begging you. Help me, holy mother." Tears rolled down her cheeks. Nyxoria was finding her a bother and reluctantly agreed
"I will help open the box but you will do something for me. The first one is something you desire I want you to separate Abrielle and Cedric. Light and darkness can never stay together. " Her request felt vague but Callista was going to do it anyway..
"Why don’t you want them to be together?" She asked and Nyxoria sighed.
"Their union is not meant to work, that’s why the universe is keen on separating them, but personally, I have a grudge against Cedric. I want him dead. Can you do that for me?" Nyxoria requested.
"I will try. Thank you for your help." Callista bowed about to leave.
"You can leave, but there is one more thing, the most important. I want you to find someone who is hiding, playing hide and seek when there are important things to be handled here." Nyxoria looked pissed as she thought of another bastard that made her life harder by increasing her work load.
"How will I know this someone?" Callista asked.
"Unfortunately, I can’t tell you a lot of things, but all I will say is one look and you will know it is someone who doesn’t belong there. To open the box, say the word, and I will unlock it. " Nyxoria’s words echoed in her ears then a blinding light surrounded her.
The environment shifted and she was back in the library, her hand on the box "Aperta." Callista said and the box opened.
Inside was an intricate pendant the heirloom of the Nightshade family. Made of silver and sapphire. It could improve magic.
Pierre drew in a deep breath. There was no denying it. "Is there any other thing you need for me to prove my identity?"
Pierre shook his head, "How was the goddess?" He asked. "Nyxoria was kind," Callista replied and Pierre nodded. Nyxoria was the kindest soul he knew.
"I will put this aside," he grabbed the box and shut it again.
"What are you going to do concerning my request? Are you standing beside your daughter, or are you going to hide those traitors?" She asked, and Pierre’s footsteps stopped ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com
"There are no traitors in this house," Pierre emphasised, Callista’s hand clenched. "Fine, at least we can get rooms to stay the night." She chimed with the softest smile.
"It will be arranged. Welcome home Callista." Pierre said with a heavy heart.

"You knew Abrielle was not our daughter. That is why you didn’t push when she failed the lineage test. Callista passed it effortlessly. She is the child you gave birth to." Pierre poured out his heart. He had conflicting emotions.
Was he going to risk his life and title and everything he stands for to protect the child he raised or was he going to protect the one that suffered so much pain, the one he was meant to love?
Standing by Abrielle’s side was a losing game, but he was ready to do anything for his only daughter. Things had changed.
"She is not the one I raised and loved Pierre. Yes, I am sorry for her, I am sorry my mother did something so horrible, but I can’t just abandon everything I built with Abrielle. Abrielle is my daughter." Rebecca spat out.
Pierre hissed, he understood her, but things weren’t that easy. "Your mother would have given you both girls, things would have been better if they were raised like twins; no one would have suspected a thing, and we won’t be in this situation now."
Rebecca stood up and then held her husband’s hand. "What are we going to do? We can’t abandon Abrielle."
"It will be the hardest decision ever, but we can’t lose everything," Pierre said, and Rebecca let out a cry. Her grip on his hand tightened.
"This will be my last gift as a father, it is the only choice we have."
