The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 65: You Can’t Enter!
"Huh?" Abigail tilted her head in confusion.
Working at Asher’s company? For what?
Why did she need to earn money?
As she was thinking, Rosa added, "You see, he told me the details of the contract, and I’m honestly angry. Since it won’t be good for your image if Asher directly gives you the contract money, how about you work under him and earn that bit yourself?"
Abigail scratched her head in confusion. "Why would I want to be away from Nicholas though? Hadn’t I decided last time that I’d seduce him?" She became excited once she thought about it. "Now that I think about it, you should help me! That person is really hard like steel, but the harder he is to break, the more I want to do it!"
Rosa’s eyes moistened as she wiped her face and said, "Abigail, you’re like a daughter to me. I would be happier if you can manage to crack that shell named Nicholas. But... I can’t continue to watch you suffer. You have to learn to be independent."
"So..." Abigail’s expression fell as she said slowly, "You’re abandoning me?"
"No, no!" Rosa refused and shook her head, saying, "You’re my daughter, the kind of girl I have always wanted as a child. That will never change. But I worry for you, dear child. What if Nicholas ends up doing something worse to you? I don’t trust my eldest son with you. Thus, I’m advising you on this."
Honestly, this idea was given by Asher himself, and he also ensured that he would take care of her. Better yet, he would personally appoint assistants and doctors on the line to take care of her after signing Abigail as an actor under his firm. If it was still not enough, he would go and see the woman and make sure she was fine.
He even reassured Rosa could visit her anytime she wanted without any hesitation, unlike with Nicholas. And who knows? After being among other people, Abigail might actually realize that Nicholas wasn’t a good person and was a typical red flag.
This was the idea that Rosa liked the most. Although it hurt her to let go of such a good daughter-in-law, she had no other choice but this.
Abigail pursed her lips and continued to think.
Honestly, she was never the one to earn money for herself. The only good thing her mother ever did was send money to the asylum to feed her. Only once, Abigail had participated in an event held by the asylum to sell out some handmade portraits to ordinary people.
Everything went fine until she encountered a rude customer. Long story short, she messed up the entire place and in the end, the event manager had to apologize to the local police authority on Abigail’s behalf for destroying the furniture and everything else, and even had to pay for that.
So Abigail knew that she wasn’t fit for the role of earning money.
"But mom," Abigail really wanted this topic to stop as her feet continued to tap on the ground speedily, indicating her impatience, "you are also aware of my terrible mood swings, aren’t you? How can I actually earn money peacefully when even the smallest of smallest things can set me off?"
Despite her situation, she was at least self-aware of this. Ah, hadn’t she decided to visit the doctor earlier? She should do that now that she doesn’t have to be attached to the medicine anymore
But she shouldn’t tell her mother-in-law about this. The older woman would be worried for nothing.
As she was thinking, Rosa held the young woman’s hand and said, "Abigail, you need money for everything, and as for your mood swings, we will visit the best doctors you want, and I’ll personally pay for your treatment. Don’t worry. First, just agree to my request. I want you out of Nicholas’s life and find you a better husband. Let me do this for you, yeah?"
"But..." Abigail felt like the topic really wasn’t going to end anytime soon if she doesn’t agree. So she sighed and said, "Fine. Alright! I agree! Now, let’s stop talking about this!"
She should send Rosa out as soon as possible otherwise, Abigail knew she would forget about such an important thing once again!
Rosa couldn’t believe her ears. She thought she would have to say more things to get her daughter-in-law to agree, but the young woman nodded so easily?
For the first time, she wanted to thank Abigail’s terrible mood swings that led the young woman to agree to her demands. Rosa’s shoulder relaxed as a genuine smile formed on her lips. "Good, dear girl, now you should rest, okay?"
Abigail nodded and smiled innocently. She quietly laid on the bed as Rosa covered her up with a blanket. Inside the blanket, away from her eyes, Abigail clenched her fist and prayed that this old woman would go away faster.
The faster she goes, the better it is for her!
Of course, not that there was anything wrong with Abigail. Right now, she had already started to think how perfect she was in every way, and how she didn’t need any kind of treatment, especially mental. She only wanted some medicines that could stop her from getting angry too fast too soon.
But that wouldn’t change her perfectionism. Nope. She would become even more perfect with those medicines!
Abigail’s eyes glowed as she closed them and waited for Rosa to get out of the room. Once the old woman walked away, she couldn’t wait anymore as she opened her eyes and threw away the blanket covering her body. Then she jumped off the bed and walked toward the door, pushing it open.
Ah, it was so easy!
She could finally have her medicines!
No, let’s think about how to approach the doctor first. She knew after years of spending time in the asylum that the doctors don’t give you medicines easily unless things were critical as a last measure.
Of course, not that Abigail was a critical case in every way. She considered herself an epitome of perfectionism, but even she needed to pose herself as a critical patient to get medicines at times.
First, she would ask the doctor about her terrible mood swings. Then he would start the conservation, asking her about her life. Aside from the transmigration thing, Abigail would tell the doctor everything from start to finish, mixing her real and fake childhood experiences.
Yes, that’s the best way. Then she would show a bit more how crazy she actually was! That should allow the doctor to give her the medicines, right?
Just as she was thinking about it, she quickly reached her destination, the psychiatrist department. Of course, it wasn’t easy to find this place. She moved from one corridor to another, finding them endless. She even managed to get inside the elevator, and after a long journey, she finally managed to find this place.
Her eyes turned excited at the sight of the board attached at the top. There was a receptionist sitting beside the door with her eyes stuck at the computer.
Abigail directly ignored the woman and walked toward the door. Just as she was about to push it open, the receptionist stopped her.
"Ma’am, you can’t enter."
