The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 64: Working?!
Nicholas didn’t feel a single bit of regret upon fooling this innocent girl. No, scratch that. Abigail wasn’t the least bit innocent. She was the entire opposite of that, being the most cunning and dramatic woman he had ever met.
But lately, he had been getting a hang of how to deal with her. More likely, how to make her listen to him without any consequences. Just see, she made his job easy and kicked the nurse out without making any fuss!
"Ain’t I awesome?!" Abigail felt like she finally acted like Mrs. Harrison as her heart swelled with joy. "I’m worthy of being Mrs. Harrison."
"Since you’re fine, I’ll find you another nurse to play with." Nicholas didn’t want to stay here anymore. But at the same time, he knew that a cousin of his might be lurking around here. So he might as well tighten the security around here.
If Asher dared to appear in his place, he would surely kick the man out of the entire country once and for all.
After thinking about it, Nicholas felt at ease as he turned back and walked out without even glancing at Abigail.
Behind him, his wife watched as her husband walked away and frowned. For some reason, she felt like she had been fooled or something.
No, wait a minute! She wasn’t meant to kick that nurse before!
How could that damned rude husband of hers treat her like that, ah?! He actually fooled her out of all people!
The more Abigail thought about it, the angrier she became. In the end, she stomped on her feet as she rushed outside to see her husband face-to-face and slap right across his cheek.
How dare he treat her like that?! Was she that stupid in his eyes?
Abigail fumed in anger even more after thinking about it. But when she walked out, she didn’t see a trace of her husband. Her anger increased even more.
At the same time, the same head nurse was walking past with her things in hand. Today was really her unlucky day to meet the trustee husband and wife and be kicked out like this.
Sigh. Where will she find another good job once again?
Just as she was thinking about it, she happened to see Abigail fuming once more, standing in the middle of the corridor and glaring at an empty space.
The head nurse wanted to say something, but she shook her head and walked past the patient. Whatever, since she was off duty, it wasn’t her job to bother her anymore.
Before she walked away, her wrist was grabbed by the patient she wanted to talk to as the head nurse’s entire body was forcibly turned around. The latter was so shocked that she blinked and stood there, frozen.
Damn, how could a patient have so much energy in her body?!
Abigail ignored the nurse’s expression and grabbed her shoulders, becoming excited once again. "Good that you’re here! I’m hiring you again!"
"Huh?" The head nurse was so confused that she didn’t know where to start. She just stared at the young woman in front of her and blinked. "Mrs. Harrison, you..."
"Don’t speak a single word!" Abigail’s eyes blazed with fire the next second as she said, "I want to get back at my husband, so give me more ideas!"
The head nurse had a complicated expression on her face. Despite hearing the woman’s words, she knew she couldn’t speak a word against Nicholas if she wanted to keep her life intact. So she could only fool this lady and ensure that she wouldn’t find out at the same time.
Ah, this job turned out to be so difficult!
The head nurse wiped her imaginary tears and said, "You’re a good girl, Mrs. Harrison."
"I know." Abigail was deeply satisfied after hearing the woman praise her like this. She smiled and said, "Let’s talk inside!"
"Okay..." The head nurse felt a layer of cold sweat dripping off her forehead.
She knew by agreeing to this patient, she would surely anger Mr. Harrison. But if she angered this lady, who looked crazy enough to jump off a building, the haad nurse might die.
So it was better if she could keep her life rather than the job itself. She was sure she would find another job, but another life?
The head nurse felt her face paling at the thought of that. This reaction was, unfortunately, noticed by Abigail.
She looked at the woman worriedly. "What happened? Who frightened you?" Her face turned angry in the blink of an eye. "I know! It’s my husband, isn’t it? You’re afraid he would be angry at you because of me, right?
"Don’t worry!" Abigail patted her chest firmly as if she were a politician seriously using her skill of words to promise something she was never going to fulfill. "I’ll make sure you are safe and sound and he can’t touch even a single hair on your body!"
The head nurse wanted to cry bitterly once again. Wasn’t this what Abigail had promised earlier? What happened after that?
The head nurse was kicked out instantly after the patient got fooled into it. So she couldn’t trust this young woman anymore, but what other choice did she have?
"Alright."
The two of them walked inside and started chatting for hours. Of course, not that the head nurse wanted to have anything to do with the rich couple anymore, she forced herself to stick to it.
In the end, Abigail only let the old woman go when her mother-in-law approached her later that evening. Who knows how Rosa managed to find out where her daughter-in-law was kept.
Nicholas hadn’t peeped a word of what he did with his wife, making his mother even more worried. In the end, she used her sources to find out the young woman’s location.
Honestly, she had figured her eldest son would rather lock her out, but when she realized the young woman was a patient in the Harrison hospital, she was surprised. Nicholas could actually act like a human for once and be kind to his wife? This was a first.
When the head nurse walked out and closed the door behind her, Rosa finally sat beside her daughter-in-law and asked worriedly, "Dear, are you alright? Asher told me you jumped off the bridge." She became anxious the moment she said those words. "Abigail, if there’s anything, please tell me.
"You don’t have to resort to jumping, okay? Don’t do that next time. I’ll always be with you, remember that. No matter what."
"Thank you." Abigail smiled. "You’re the best mother I have ever gotten!"
"Ah, you’re making me cry." Rosa hugged the young woman for a while and sniffed. After a while, she backed away and said, "That’s right, I wanted to ask you something. How about you work in Asher’s company?"
