Chapter 66: Another Eye Candy!

"What did you just say?" Abigail’s eyes narrowed as she stared at the lady, turning toward her. "Repeat it again!"

"You heard me right," the receptionist said while rubbing the bridge of her nose tiredly. "Please, get out of here. Otherwise, I’ll call the security."

Abigail laughed out loud after hearing those words. "Kick me out? For real? You can kick me out? Sure, I’d like you to give it a try."

"You-!"

The receptionist of the psychiatrist ward sure had a tough time these days. Ever since a new doctor took up the post two years ago, and ever since the doctor’s photo was leaked in the media as the top psychiatrist of the year, she had to face a line of ladies right in front of her desk.

Even though they wouldn’t be sick, they would still arrive here just to take a glimpse of that man’s face. Of course, even the doctor was crazy enough to invite everyone and treat them all as patients. But how could a doctor not realize why they were here in the first place?

So all those unnecessary patients would be kicked out the next time they tried to book a slot. Thus, the receptionist had a strong hatred for beautiful ladies who tried sneaking inside.

She looked at the patients sitting across the hall and nodded at an old lady. The latter also stood up and took a young, eleven year old boy with her through the door.

Abigail glanced at them and also tried to enter along with these patients, but the guard standing by the door quickly blocked her way, sending her a glare.

"Hey, lady, I said you can’t enter!" The receptionist saw the way the lady was dressed and frowned. "You seem to be a patient of our hospital. So return to your ward before we call the security."

"No!" Abigail also stood there firmly, crossing her arms on her chest as she glared at the receptionist. "I’m not going anywhere!"

"Security, kick her out!" The receptionist had had enough of this young woman. She glanced at the guard standing by the door and said, "By all means."

The guard also folded his sleeves, ready to carry out the order. Honestly, despite meeting beautiful ladies every single day, he hated to kick them out like this. But what could he do? These ladies were also a headache to deal with. He had to listen to his boss.

Just as he was about to grab the lady’s arms, the latter yelled and backed away, glaring at him. "You can’t treat me like that! I’m the boss of your boss, Mrs. Harrison! I’m the trustee of this hospital! I own it!"

The receptionist looked at the patient carefully and sneered in her heart. "Sure. and I’m Bill Gates. Get out."

She didn’t trust this young woman a single bit. If this girl was really Mrs. Harrison, why would she be all alone and in such a state? Her hair was a mess as if Abigail had just gotten up without even bothering to fix them up properly.

Sure, it did look like it was combed, but this woman didn’t look like an elegant woman belonging to the Harrison family. In the eyes of the receptionist, every person belonging to the Harrison family was a VIP who surely must know how to dress up and look good even if they were a patient, not like this young lady in front of her.

Of course, she had indeed heard of how Nicholas Harrison had gotten married, and she even heard of how arrogant the lady actually was! To set a CEO’s head on fire... This gave the receptionist an impression that the lady must be habitual of looking down on people with terrible anger management.

But this young woman in front of her was completely opposite to that. How could the receptionist ever compare the two ladies? Nope. They couldn’t be the same even in her dreams!

Abigail saw that even her threats didn’t work and became angrier. Her nose fumed as she dodged the guards and ran around the entire place, breaking things in anger. The more she wreaked havoc, the more the patients became alarmed. In the end, the entire hallway was a mess with furniture half broken, patients scattered, and the guards tired.

They couldn’t believe their eyes. This young woman with enchanting blue eyes was clearly a patient here but how come she managed to throw them all off at the same time?! Shouldn’t she be exhausted with all the running she did?

Actually, Abigail had indeed become exhausted to the point that she couldn’t walk a single step. But still, she knew priorities well. She had appeared at this place for a reason, and they dared to refute her!

She couldn’t back down unless she got to that door!

As she was thinking about it, she saw no one was watching her. So she picked up her pace and dashed toward the door. The receptionist’s eyes widened as she also ran after the patient. Even the guards rushed quickly.

At the same time, just when they were all chasing her, the door suddenly opened as a gentle voice spoke from inside calmly, "What’s with all this mess?"

Abigail hadn’t expected the door to open so suddenly. So she was caught off guard and couldn’t stop herself on time. This, she bumped into the man who just opened the door headfirst, even surprising the man himself. He held her waist with one hand while he held the door with another hand, stabilizing them both.

Abigail was so shocked that she couldn’t move for a moment. Her expression instantly transformed into anxiety as she backed away, bowing ninety degrees in front of the man, saying, "I’m sorry! Are you a psychiatrist?"

Even until this point, Abigail hadn’t seen the man’s face, but that voice indeed sounded clear and ethereal. Almost as if that voice was enough to make any girl’s ears pregnant. Thus, even a trace of blush formed on her cheeks as she scolded herself in her heart.

She already had a husband and another eye candy lined up to make her heart race every time she met him! God, she didn’t need another handsome young man making her heart thump!

But damn, this guy’s voice was enough to make her blush. If that’s the case, he must look even more handsome than her imagination, right?

Thus, being curious, she raised her head and glanced at the man, only to be shocked for the second time. Her heart started to race once again.

Oh no.

Another eye candy!
