The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 59: She Jumped?!
Nicholas’s eyes widened slightly after hearing that.
Abigail jumped? Why?
His brows furrowed as he glanced at the extremely silent woman sitting beside him. His eyes narrowed.
Something was wrong.
No, there was no way this young, maniac woman could ever jump. Her thinking process ran 180° differently as compared to others.
He turned toward the doctor and said, "Doctor, please make sure her injuries are taken care of."
The doctor was about to say something when he watched the young man placing his VIP credit card on the table. The former quickly closed his mouth and nodded, swallowing his words to the depths of his stomach.
His saliva nearly dropped from the corner of his mouth, seeing that VIP card, and said, "Alright, leave it to me."
Then a few nurses came forward and took Abigail with them, leading her outside. Behind them, the doctor stopped Nicholas for a while.
"I would suggest you have her checked with a psychiatrist." He frowned and said, "If she jumped, something’s wrong."
Nicholas thought for a while and refused to accept that she really did jump. But of course, it wasn’t like he knew this woman for sure.
First, he would check what exactly happened to her. The only person who was with her was probably Asher. So his cousin could tell him what was up.
At the thought of that person, Nicholas’s face turned extremely angry. His eyes sharpened as his fist clenched automatically, looking like he was about to kill someone.
Even the doctor could feel a cold aura dripping off the young man beside him. He felt a shiver down his spine and moved a little away.
Phew, young people these days are terrifying!
Just as he was about to speak, a nurse came running toward him with an anxious expression on her face. Even the doctor frowned upon seeing her like this.
Wasn’t she the primary nurse who took Abigail just now? Why did she return so soon? Wasn’t she supposed to take the woman’s tests before they could treat her properly?
What happened?
It couldn’t be that they encountered an accident or something, right?
The doctor’s expression turned serious after thinking about it.
The nurse stopped in front of them as he gasped and pointed at the back of the room where Abigail was taken. Her face was frightened and pale as she said, "S-something happened."
"Let’s go and see."
The doctor hurried, and Nicholas also increased his pace after them, with a mild worry on his face. When they finally reached, they realized what it was that had gone wrong.
It turned out that the nurse who was responsible for taking the blood sample for the blood test accidentally ended up injuring the patient. Blood could be seen spurting out of the wound on her wrist as Abigail lay on the bed unconscious.
Beside the bed, a nurse stood there with her head lowered.
The doctor’s face paled upon seeing that. What the heck happened here within the matter for a few minutes?!
A few minutes ago...
Abigail was taken inside. By this time, she had already determined that she would commit suicide, but even she knew that she couldn’t gain other’s attention while doing so. Thus, she decided to make it look like an accident.
But how?
She looked at the series of nurses as an idea formed in her mind. What if the nurse handling her case managed to stab the syringe deeper and make her veins bleed? That way, no one should be able to save her, right?
But how should she go about it...?
She watched as the nurses relaxed a little, seeing Abigail way too obedient. The nurse who took up the injection to take the blood sample from her body talked to other nurses and laughed.
Their meaningless chatter filled the background, but to Abigail, it sounded more gibberish. She couldn’t listen to those words. So her brain automatically blocked it all as she focused on that nurse who had just taken up the syringe.
Since they were already not focusing on her, it indeed provided Abigail with an opportunity. Hah, these nurses really did take their jobs for granted.
Thus, when the nurse took up Abigail’s wrist and continued to talk, the latter tilted her hand slightly and made the other miss the spot. So the nurse who could find a vein with her eyes closed became stunned when she felt something warm on her fingers instead.
Her heart turned alarmed as she instantly turned her head and saw blood all over her fingers. She saw the patient’s eyes turning wide before they rolled up, making her faint.
No... what just happened?!
Hadn’t she done this job multiple times?
How could she fail this time?!
The nurse felt the syringe falling to the ground as she stood there in utter shock. She hadn’t made this kind of mistake even when she had started as a nurse, and that was twelve years ago!
She wanted to do something, move her damned body to go and help the patient, but she stood there, frozen like a statue. How could she not? She wasn’t the kind of nurse who would make such a mistake like this. In fact, she had never imagined in the past that she would end up doing this in the first place!
Just as she was thinking like this, the door opened abruptly as the head nurse saw everything and screamed.
"What the hell happened here?!" The head nurse’s face paled as she didn’t bother with the one who made a mistake and ordered others to take care of the wound.
Thus, this was how the entire scene in front of Nicholas unfolded. His face was darker than a pot as he stared at the unconscious lady with her wrist flooded with blood. He didn’t know why, but his intuition said that something was wrong, but he ignored it and said, "Clearly, you people aren’t proficient in doing your work even after giving you money."
"Mr. Harrison!" The doctor panicked in his heart upon hearing those words and said, "It was that nurse’s fault! I’ll handle the lady’s case myself! So rest assured."
"Rest assured?" Nicholas glanced at the middle-aged doctor with a cold and icy gaze. "You’d better start counting your days."
After that, he didn’t bother with anyone and went over to Abigail, scooping her up in his arms. Of course, by this time, the nurses had already fixed her injury and stabilized her condition, but he couldn’t care less about them.
He couldn’t let her die. He had realized this after seeing her hand full of blood.
How?
Wasn’t the answer obvious? Since his feelings for this woman developed so quickly and ran so deep, what was the point of letting her die so terribly?
But of course, it wasn’t that he would start accepting this damned marriage. The only thing he wanted to do was not trust people like Asher anymore and take care of Abigail’s life and death from today onwards. Other than that, he still didn’t want to accept her as his wife. It was absurd, you see?
Abigail was the most emotionally unstable woman he ever met, the total opposite of him. They weren’t compatible. Moreover, he also didn’t want to get married so soon.
Whatever it was, he wouldn’t let Asher wander around this woman anymore. He had given enough chances to that person to try his luck. Now he was out of it.
Thinking of it, Nicholas placed Abigail’s unconscious body in the backseat of the car and laid her down gently. Then he proceeded toward the driving seat of the car, to drive to another hospital.
