Chapter 222: Chapter 222: Ethan Shaw, Put Some Clothes On

Naomi Kenway looked up and saw Ethan Shaw striding toward her. He wore sunglasses, revealing only his well-defined jawline. A casual shirt and trousers outlined his lean, muscular frame.

"You..."

Naomi Kenway was a little surprised to see him so suddenly.

Ethan Shaw looked her up and down before frowning. "You seem to have lost some weight."

Ian Shaw stood beside Naomi Kenway, holding his own small suitcase. He looked a little more tanned than when he had left.

"Dad!" Ian called out in his bright, clear voice.

Ethan Shaw first took the luggage from Naomi Kenway, then scooped Ian Shaw up with one arm. "Did you have fun on your trip with Mom?"

Naomi Kenway walked alongside Ethan Shaw. The enormous, heavy suitcase seemed to weigh nothing in his hands.

"Yes!" Ian replied.

"Did you take good care of your mom?"

This time, Ian’s answer was exceptionally firm. "I did! Mom and I took care of each other. I love traveling with Mom."

Ethan Shaw nodded slightly, occasionally glancing at Naomi Kenway beside him and adjusting the length of his stride.

The car was parked nearby with Liam Sherman as the driver. He had a serious expression. "Madam, Ian, welcome back."

Naomi Kenway gave a slight nod and got into the car. "Thank you."

"Ethan, I thought you were busy..."

Naomi Kenway was sitting in the back seat. She glanced to the side and froze instinctively. Ethan Shaw was playing a mobile game with Ian. Both father and son looked incredibly serious, their profiles strikingly similar. The only difference was that one face was round and soft, while the other was sharp and chiseled.

It was a truly heartwarming scene.

"What did you say?" Ethan Shaw turned his head. He had taken off his sunglasses after getting in the car, and his deep, narrow eyes stared directly at her.

Naomi Kenway was captivated by his beautiful eyes. After a couple of seconds, she shifted her gaze and gave a faint, unnatural cough.

"Dad, we lost!" Ian’s voice rang out.

"It’s okay." Ethan Shaw patted his head reassuringly, his eyes still fixed on Naomi Kenway. "What were you about to ask me?"

"I was just saying... I thought you were busy with work. I didn’t expect you to come pick me up."

"Mm... It was on the way."

"Aren’t your office and the airport in opposite directions?"

Ethan Shaw paused for a fraction of a second, his expression unchanging. "I went to sign a contract. It was on the way."

"Oh, I see."

Naomi Kenway gazed at the passing scenery through the car window when she heard Ethan Shaw ask:

"How was your trip? Did you have fun?"

Naomi Kenway was surprised that Ethan Shaw would be interested in her trip. "It was great. We hiked on mountain trails for a long time, but it felt very rewarding. The altitude there is quite high, and there were lots of wild fruits on the mountain, hanging in bright red clusters."

"So you like mountain trips?"

"Not just that. I’m interested in any place that’s new and different."

Ethan Shaw seemed lost in thought.

The drive was long, and Naomi Kenway started to feel drowsy. She yawned, and a moment later, she was asleep.

When Naomi Kenway woke up, she found herself in her bedroom. She figured Ethan Shaw must have carried her upstairs.

’Am I that heavy a sleeper, or was he just that gentle? I didn’t even realize I was moved to the bedroom.’

No one else was around. The blackout curtains were drawn tightly, plunging the room into darkness.

Naomi Kenway checked her phone and saw that it was already evening.

After going downstairs, she saw Nanny Warren and the other staff bustling about, carrying dishes into the dining room. Catching sight of Naomi Kenway, Nanny Warren called out excitedly, "Madam, you’re awake! The master said you’d wake up around this time and told us to prepare your favorite dishes in advance. I’ll have someone go get Ian!"

Naomi Kenway sat at the dining table, an exceptionally lavish spread of food before her. Her mind was still a bit foggy. "Do I often wake up at this time?"

"Yes, you do," Nanny Warren said. "Perhaps your body clock has gotten used to it. You work so hard filming, Madam. You really do need a good rest."

"Where’s Ethan?"

"The master left again after bringing you and Ian home. I hear things are very busy at the company."

Naomi Kenway picked up her chopsticks, her brow furrowing slightly.

Light footsteps echoed from the stairs, and Ian came running down.

A worried look appeared on Naomi Kenway’s face. "Ian, slow down. There’s no rush."

Ian Shaw was holding a line drawing. It depicted Naomi Kenway and Ian, with Hope Primary School in the background. The black and white lines were clean and decisive, making it hard to believe it was the work of a four-year-old.

Ian held up the drawing, excitedly presenting his artwork to Naomi Kenway. "Look, Mom! This is you, and this is me! And behind us is a group of butterflies. Isn’t it pretty?"

Naomi Kenway nodded seriously and smiled. "Yes, it’s very pretty."

Ian handed the drawing to Naomi Kenway, his big eyes glistening. He blinked and said sweetly, "It’s for you, Mom! The prettiest picture for the prettiest mom!"

Naomi Kenway took it and gave Ian a kiss on his little cheek. "Thank you, Ian."

Ethan Shaw came home late again. Naomi Kenway was still up, binge-watching a show with a pillow hugged to her chest.

"It’s ten o’clock. You’re not asleep yet?"

"I’m about to go to sleep."

Ethan Shaw nodded and went into the bathroom.

Naomi Kenway’s gaze returned to the huge television screen. A funny scene was playing, and it made her laugh out loud.

The next moment, the bathroom door opened. Naomi Kenway was just about to ask if he wanted her to turn off the TV when her eyes shot wide open.

’Was Ethan Shaw naked?!!’

No, that wasn’t right. To be precise, he was shirtless. He was only wearing a pair of long pants, his upper body bare. His abs were well-defined—beautiful but not overdone, and completely eye-catching.

Naomi Kenway stammered a little. "Ethan, you should put a shirt on."

Ethan Shaw glanced at her, his eyes calm and seemingly unconcerned. "I’m looking for my clothes."

Naomi Kenway nodded. "Well, hurry up."

Memories that had been close to fading away came rushing back to life. Naomi Kenway could no longer focus on the TV show.

The show was full of hilarious moments, but Naomi Kenway grew more and more distracted because Ethan Shaw kept walking around shirtless near her.

Naomi Kenway cleared her throat to get his attention. "Haven’t you found them yet? You shouldn’t be looking here, you should go to your walk-in closet!"

A hint of amusement flickered in Ethan Shaw’s eyes. "Are you in a hurry?"

"I’m just worried you’ll catch a cold." After saying that, Naomi Kenway turned her attention back to the TV.

’Then again, why should I care so much? It’s not like I’m the one losing out. With a handsome guy like this right in front of me, it’d be a waste not to look.’

The next day, Naomi Kenway woke up rather late. The pillow beside her was empty; Ethan Shaw had already left for the office.

Even when Naomi Kenway closed her eyes, all she could see were those beautiful, sleek abs.

’It was all Ethan Shaw’s fault!’

’He spent a full ten minutes looking for his clothes last night!’

The filming schedule for her show wasn’t too tight, so she could have taken the day off. But remembering she had things to do, Naomi Kenway quickly got out of bed and got ready.

After breakfast, Naomi Kenway went to the garden to tend to her roses, as she usually did.
