The Villain Mom Awakens — Going Viral by Parenting on a Reality Show-Chapter 221: Recording Ends
Joelle Lynch caressed her sleeping baby’s face, her eyes filled with reluctance and worry. Tears streamed down her face uncontrollably.
"I can help you hire a top-tier lawyer and get custody of both children. You went through so much to have them. Why on earth should that horrible family get to keep them?"
"Really?" Joelle Lynch moved to kneel again. Naomi Kenway tried to stop her, but Joelle insisted, "I don’t have any special skills, so there’s nothing I can do to repay you. Please, just let me kowtow to you! Otherwise, my heart won’t be at ease! Little Sis Kenway, I will never forget your kindness for the rest of my life, and I’ll make sure my children remember it too!"

「The next day」
Naomi Kenway was in a much better mood. That disgusting Felix Jacobs was nowhere to be seen. He had vanished after the production team intervened last night.
As was her custom, Naomi Kenway had the photographer take a picture of her and Ian. Afterward, she turned to Nathan Lynch. "Nathan, would you like to take a picture with us?" 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
Nathan Lynch shuffled over, and the three of them took a photo together.
Just then, the cameras were set up again. Naomi Kenway led Ian and Nathan out of the room. Joelle Lynch, still with a wrap on her head, came into the courtyard with Six to see them off.
Naomi Kenway quickly urged her to go back and rest. "We’ll see each other again very soon."
Joelle Lynch nodded, her eyes welling with tears.
"Fairy Sister, I’ll miss you!" Six threw himself into Naomi Kenway’s arms.
Naomi Kenway waved goodbye to them.
When they reached the edge of the village, a large farewell party was waiting for them. The village chief was at the very front, and he expressed his gratitude to Naomi Kenway several times over.
Naomi Kenway now understood why he had been so emotional when he first met her. She extended her hand to shake his in farewell.
The mountain path was winding and treacherous. They had to go down the same way they came up. The village chief offered to arrange for a few villagers to carry them down in sedan chairs, but they naturally refused.
Ten people had arrived, but only nine were leaving. Naomi Kenway heard that Renee Jennings had to remain in quarantine and couldn’t be released until she was asymptomatic, which would take at least two days.
Climbing up had been difficult, but the descent was much easier. With no competition to worry about, the guests chatted casually. Chelsea Raines, however, didn’t participate. She and Jared Woods walked at the very back.
Margaret Jennings sighed. "This episode didn’t have any bizarre challenges, but I’m actually really reluctant to leave."
Ruby Preston nodded. "The local people are so simple, honest, and warm. Our next-door neighbors were always bringing us food."
After walking for about ten minutes, Ruby Preston started to run out of steam. She accidentally stepped on a small rock, and her foot slipped. She nearly fell, but thankfully, Naomi Kenway caught her just in time.
"Are you okay?" Naomi Kenway asked.
Ruby Preston squatted down, her face contorted in pain. Her brows were knitted tightly as she pointed to her foot. She had twisted her ankle.
The group’s progress came to a halt.
Waves of pain shot through her ankle, and Ruby Preston didn’t dare move. She was usually so composed, but now the pain had her wincing repeatedly.
Simon Sawyer stared at her blankly from the side. His perpetually calm expression suddenly changed, and he anxiously cried out, "Mom!"
Ruby Preston’s ankle was still throbbing, and she couldn’t spare the energy to answer Simon Sawyer.
Simon Sawyer’s expression shifted several times before he suddenly shouted, "Doctor! We need a doctor! Quick, save my mom!!"
There was no response. He remembered the team medic usually followed behind the group. Ignoring everyone’s attempts to stop him, he bolted straight back up the path.
The mountain path was steep, and he took huge strides. It took the staff members a considerable effort to stop him. "Sean, don’t panic! The doctor will be here right away, don’t panic!"
The pain in her ankle had subsided a bit by the time the doctor arrived. Ruby Preston instinctively looked over at Simon Sawyer and only then realized that her precocious, perpetually expressionless son was crying. For a moment, she was at a complete loss.
Simon Sawyer was a very independent child. Ruby Preston never had to worry about him with anything; he would even offer her advice sometimes. He acted like a little adult around her. But now, the always-composed Sean was crying...
Ruby Preston felt as if she were seeing him for the first time. Ignoring the pain in her foot, she took out a handkerchief to wipe away Simon Sawyer’s tears, her voice laced with heartache. "Why are you crying?"
"You were just looking down and not moving. I thought..." Seeming to realize something, Simon Sawyer stiffly turned his head away. "I wasn’t crying. You saw wrong."
Before Ruby Preston could reply, he walked away on his own.
Margaret Jennings said, "Sean is so worried about you, Ruby. He ran to get the doctor just now. This mountain is so steep, my heart pounds just looking at the slope..."
Ruby Preston froze.
Because of this sudden incident, Ruby Preston and Simon Sawyer were, as expected, pulled aside for individual interviews.
Ruby Preston looked a bit dazed, as if she hadn’t fully processed everything. She faced the camera and began:
"To be honest, I’m truly surprised. I never imagined Sean would cry. He’s never cried in front of me before; he’s always been so mature. I’m very busy with work, so I’ve neglected spending time with him. He spends more time at his grandfather’s house. We don’t really have much to talk about, and he never seems very interested in listening to me. I often thought he was deliberately throwing a tantrum by not talking to me, or that he didn’t need me anymore and didn’t want to chat. I even started to think that he resented me, that he hated me. I feel like... well, it was only today that I discovered my son might not be the person I thought he was..."
As she spoke, she lowered her head, a thoughtful expression on her face.
Meanwhile, Simon Sawyer was also being interviewed. He didn’t seem to be in a good mood and gave only brief answers to a few questions.
Until a staff member asked, "Ms. Preston said that you seem to resent her, Sean..."
"No," Simon Sawyer replied instantly. "I don’t resent her... I just..."
"You just what?" the staff member pressed, but he refused to say more, lapsing back into silence.
"It’s nothing."
The staff member glanced at the director, waiting for instructions.
The director waved his hand, signaling the end of the interview, and let out a sigh. ’Among the five young guests, if Ian Shaw is the most profound and difficult to understand, then Simon Sawyer is second.’
After the interviews, Ruby Preston’s ankle was back to normal thanks to the doctor’s treatment. The group rested for five minutes before continuing on their way.
Cars were waiting at the foot of the mountain. The guests were driven to the airport and flew back to Veridia.
Since Naomi Kenway was looking after Nathan Lynch, she saw Nathaniel Lynch walking toward them as soon as they exited the arrivals gate. He was all smiles. "Thank you so much for taking care of Nathan."
The moment Nathaniel Lynch appeared, all the cameras swiveled in his direction.
For some reason, Naomi Kenway had a bad feeling about this "smiling tiger." "It was nothing. I’ll be going now. Nathan is all yours."
With the cameras gone, filming for this episode was officially over.
Her phone rang.
"Where are you?" It was Ethan Shaw’s voice.
A second later, he added, "Never mind. I see you."
