Chapter 1012: Chapter 1012: Something Happened to Pearl Landon

Richard Shaw has been stationed at the Military District for years, leaving him no time to manage family matters. If she were to marry in, it would be like guarding a mountain of gold. Pearl Landon took a deep breath, encouraging herself that if someone like Crystal Landon could marry, then why couldn’t she? She was ten times better than Crystal.

Pearl circled around and saw Crystal carrying out the hangover soup. Only then did she return to the dining table, smiling, "Crystal, have you had the hangover soup?"

Crystal found her behavior a bit odd today, frowned slightly, and said blandly, "Just say what you have to say."

Pearl’s face showed a peculiar smile as she gulped down the hangover soup Crystal had brought, then said, "Crystal, you told the old lady of the Shaw Family that you don’t want to marry into the Shaw Family."

Crystal saw Pearl tear off the last veil between sisters, openly speaking such words. She couldn’t help but laugh, crossing her arms, and said indifferently, "What if I didn’t say it?"

"Then we won’t be sisters anymore, the Landon Family wouldn’t acknowledge you. Your reputation is so bad; if you get thrown out, who will provide for your food and shelter? Could Richard Shaw marry someone like you and make you Mrs. Shaw?" Pearl smiled confidently, like threatening a teenager, "You’re just relying on the old lady’s fondness for you. In the future, if you marry in, Richard Shaw won’t like you. Within two years, you’ll get divorced, and you’ll never marry again in your lifetime."

"But if you tell the old lady you won’t marry, and I replace you by marrying, you can do whatever you want, and I’ll always be good to you."

Crystal’s distinct black-and-white eyes opened slightly, incredulous at how Pearl could say something so foolish. In the past few years, she hardly communicated with Pearl or their parents, completely unaware that Pearl’s worldview had become so damaged. Did Pearl truly think she was an idiot?

Crystal sneered and said, "What makes you think if I don’t marry, you could replace me?"

Pearl was stumped by the question. They were sisters; her reputation was a hundred times better than Crystal’s, and she was classmates with Richard Shaw, which naturally made her the most eligible to marry into the Shaw Family. She had seen that the Shaw Family’s old lady always wanted to form a marriage alliance with the Landon Family.

"You don’t need to worry about that. Just focus on saying you won’t marry, or else don’t blame me for not recognizing you as a sister," Pearl threatened.

This is truly crazy, and quite seriously ill. Crystal sneered, turned, and started to leave.

Pearl grabbed her and said, "Explain yourself before you go."

With a clever move, Crystal removed the Strength from her arm, coldly snorted, intending to leave, only to suddenly hear a muffled groan behind her, followed by the sound of a breaking bowl.

Pearl had already collapsed on the ground, and two well-known young Ladies exclaimed, "Pearl, what’s wrong with you?"

One stepped forward to support Pearl, while another grabbed Crystal, indignantly scolding, "How could you treat your sister like this? Are you even human?"

"Help, somebody, Pearl is in trouble," the young Lady supporting Pearl screamed.

The main house was close to the garden, and the music volume was set low. People heard the commotion and quickly entered the main house.

Crystal saw Pearl suddenly faint on the ground, her complexion suddenly becoming a bit ugly.

Richard Shaw was the quickest, entering the living room, his eyes scanning the room before approaching to check Pearl’s condition, saying deeply, "The symptoms look like poisoning."

After speaking, the man’s deep and sharp eyes scanned over the shattered bowls on the ground, then glanced at Crystal.
