The Twisted Obsession-Chapter 279: Make it right
Chapter 279: Make it right
Remo Quinn walked through the front door of his sprawling mansion, the silence hitting him like a physical force. The house was eerily quiet, a stark contrast to the vibrant energy that Abby had always brought. Her laughter, her presence, the way she filled every room with warmth—it was all gone, leaving an echo of emptiness in its wake.
He tossed his keys onto the marble table by the entrance, the clinking sound reverberating through the empty hallways. Remo sighed deeply, running a hand through his hair. The weight of his loneliness was heavy on his shoulders. He had never realized how much he depended on Abby’s presence until she was no longer there.
He walked into the living room, his eyes drawn to the couch where they had spent countless evenings together. The memories flooded back—Abby curled up with a book, her head resting on his shoulder as they watched movies, the late-night conversations that had made him feel more connected to her than anyone else in his life.
Remo sank into the couch, the emptiness beside him almost tangible. He reached for the remote and turned on the television, hoping for some distraction, but the noise only seemed to amplify his solitude. He turned it off with a frustrated sigh, leaning back and closing his eyes.
"What have I done?" he muttered to himself. The doubts and regrets gnawed at him relentlessly. He had pushed Abby away, thinking it was the right thing to do, but now he was left with nothing but an empty house and a hollow heart.
He stood up abruptly, unable to sit still. He paced the room, his mind racing. He had never been able to let Bella go. But in holding onto the past, he had failed to see the present, the incredible woman right in front of him.
He had loved Izzy deeply, and losing her had left a wound that he had thought would never heal. But Abby—Abby had brought light back into his life. She had mended his broken heart in ways he hadn’t even realized until she was gone.
"I’m sorry, Izzy," he whispered. "But I need to move on. I need to be with Abby."
Remo walked up the stairs to their bedroom, the place where Abby’s absence was most keenly felt. He opened the door and was greeted by the sight of her things, still scattered around the room. Her scent lingered in the air, a bittersweet reminder of what he had lost.
He sat on the edge of the bed, his head in his hands. The regrets were overwhelming. He had been too afraid to open his heart fully to Abby, to let himself love her the way she deserved. He had let his fear of losing another loved one hold him back, and now he was paying the price.
"Why did I let you go?" he murmured. "Why couldn’t I see how much you meant to me?"
The memories of their time together played in his mind like a movie. The way Abby had smiled at him, the way she had looked at him with those eyes full of love and trust. He had taken it for granted, believing that she would always be there, waiting for him to come around. But she had needed more, deserved more.
He lay back on the bed, staring at the ceiling. The doubts crept in, whispering that it might be too late to make things right. Abby had left to find herself, to escape the shadow of his past. What if she didn’t want to come back? What if she had found someone who could give her the love and attention he had failed to provide?
The thought was unbearable. Remo felt a pang of panic, a fear that he had lost her forever. He couldn’t imagine his life without her. The house, the business, none of it mattered without Abby by his side.
She was the one who had given his life meaning, who had made him feel alive again.
He stood up, determination replacing the doubts. He couldn’t just sit here and wallow in his regrets. He had to do something, to show Abby that he was ready to change, to be the man she needed.
Remo walked to the window and looked out at the night sky. The stars were bright, a reminder that there was always hope, even in the darkest times. He needed to find Abby, to tell her how he felt, to apologize for his mistakes and beg for her forgiveness.
He grabbed his phone and dialed Fredrick’s number. The phone rang a few times before Fredrick answered, his voice cautious.
"Remo?"
"Fredrick, I need to see Abby. Please, can you tell me where she is?"
There was a pause on the other end. "Remo, she needs time. She’s trying to find herself."
"I know, but I need to see her. I need to tell her how I feel. Please, Fredrick."
Fredrick sighed. "Alright. She’s at my place. But Remo, don’t hurt her again. She deserves better."
"I won’t," Remo promised. "I’ll make it right."

Remo Quinn drove through the city streets, his mind racing with thoughts of Abby. He had made countless mistakes, but he was determined to make things right. His grip tightened on the steering wheel as he replayed the moments he had let her down, the times he had pushed her away. Tonight, he would make her understand how much he needed her, how deeply he loved her.
As he pulled up to Fredrick’s place, his heart pounded with anticipation. But the sight that greeted him made his blood run cold. Abby was stepping out of a sleek black car, her face lit up with a radiant smile. Standing beside her was an unknown man, who looked at her with an unmistakable affection. The man opened the door for Abby, and she laughed, a sound that felt like a knife to Remo’s heart.
Jealousy surged through Remo, mixed with a burning anger. He had come to pour out his heart, only to find her with someone else. He watched as the man placed a hand on the small of Abby’s back, guiding her towards Fredrick’s building. Remo’s vision blurred with rage. Without thinking, he jumped out of his car and stormed towards them.
"Abby!" he shouted, his voice trembling with a mix of fury and desperation.
