Chapter 131: Ch 131: Threat to the PC Cafe- Part 5

"I feel weird. Something is going on. My body...is it breaking apart?"

Theo questioned as he reached his room and slammed his door shut. The pain in his limbs made him almost fall down, and he caught himself against the bed before he could get hurt.

But no matter what he did, the heat refused to leave his body.

"J-Just what is going on with me?"

Theo questioned as he gasped to take a deep breath. But his body shivered once more.

"Don’t fear the pain. We are just... growing up a little. Our human body cannot take all of our powers, so it is breaking down and rebuilding itself to be able to contain all of it."

Theo’s other part told him calmly.

The fact that the voice speaking to him was so calm calmed Theo down as well, and he felt like he was able to think once more. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

He closed his eyes to allow himself a moment of rest before he opened his eyes and the pain subdued.

Theo did not feel any different, but he could tell that something had changed. The power traveling through his body was much more powerful compared to before.

"It’s so warm and powerful. I feel like I can do anything with this power...."

The power inside Theo was one that could be used to achieve anything. But he did not want to use it beyond helping Kyle out.

All he had, he wanted to use it for Kyle’s sake.

"Don’t worry. We will get to do that. Since you have started to wake up, isn’t it time for us to plan to wake up our beloved as well? Personally, I hate to see him sacrificing himself for humanity’s sake."

Theo’s other side told him, and he felt similar to him.

Every time Kyle went out, he wondered why Kyle had to go out. And every time Kyle got hurt, Theo felt enraged.

If possible, he wanted to wrap Kyle up in a place where no one else but him would be able to see and touch him.

But that was not a healthy obsession.

"Huh-! You are worried about such a small thing? No obsession is healthy. Besides, if we don’t stop Kyle, then he would just get himself killed."

The voice told Theo, and he felt his heart skip a beat.

"W-We cannot allow that—"

"Yes, we cannot allow that to happen. And that’s why, when the time comes, we shall leave to begin the revival of the past where everything was under our will. There would be no danger to anyone, and Kyle won’t have to make sacrifices anymore."

The voice kept telling Theo, and the more he heard it speak, the more he agreed with him.

His other half knew him and his desires a little too well. That voice made sure Theo did as the voice wanted him to, and Theo had no excuse to give either.

"I don’t want to leave Kyle..."

Theo trailed off as he spoke. But he had a feeling that he won’t have a choice in this matter.

"Don’t worry. It’s for our own good as well as for Kyle’s sake. Those pesky humans who thought they could capture us and study us will come after us soon as well. We should take care of them before they turn their clutches toward Kyle."

Theo’s other half told him, and Theo shivered as he recalled the feeling of cold test tubes and other devices.

In the end, he had broken out of that place using his own strength and not borrowing any from his other half.

But he feared not for himself but Kyle.

"I... will support you in that. I won’t allow anyone to hurt Kyle while I am here."

Theo promised as he pushed his face out of his hand, and he looked up at the ceiling. The white light from the light bulb made him zone out for a second before he pushed himself up and plastered a smile on his face.

"Yes, I am Kyle’s protector. He can play around all he wants. But in the end, only I know what is right for him. He will return to me on his own. I just... need to wait and make a safe space for him to come back to."

Theo promised as he walked out and back to his service job.

__________

"Alright, I have most of the stuff packed. I handed my case with my uncle and the association over to the lawyers already. I think I am not forgetting anything else."

I told myself as I looked over my list of important items that I needed to do before I headed for Hell’s Fire.

Emma and Ben had been informed, and they would take care of Theo... mostly. As for Lynn, he wanted to come but he was a little busy.

So the one who was chosen to come with me was actually Rhiner since most other people felt awkward.

I was thankful for the company, but at the same time, I did not want it because I knew it would just hinder me during my mission.

"Let’s not think of it that way. Let’s just think... that I have one more person to protect this time around. It should be fine."

The fact that Rhiner was an A-class hunter and also somewhat stable made things a little easier for me.

"Hey human, are you sure you want to go to Hell’s Fire? That place is not safe for you."

Kuro asked me for the tenth time as he came to my room to look at my packed luggage, and I just gave him a smile in return.

"I am sure I need to go. Are you going to come with me or not?"

I asked Kuro, and he paused to think for a few seconds before he sighed.

"Tsk, whatever-! I might as well come with you now so that I don’t have to worry about your safety later. But I am not happy about you going to such a dangerous place."

Kuro nagged like a mother did, but ultimately, he forced himself into the small bottle once more to leave.
