"Was that truly... Kyle? Why did you bring me here? What do you want me to even say now?"

Theo looked at the dungeon scene in front of him where Kyle was fighting with an unknown humanoid female and winning.

But too many times had Kyle came close to getting hurt. Not to mention, he was trying to protect some people he hardly knew.

Theo felt sick watching all this, but there was also a detached sense of pride in him that made him feel good about it.

His conflicting feelings made him annoyed and he snapped at the entity who had brought him here.

A soft hand pressed his face against the glass that showed Kyle fighting and his other half’s voice spoke softly to him.

"Kyle is not someone you know anything about, but despite that, you want to him, right? Then, it is only right for you to learn everything about him. All his suffering, what he went through - we should know about it all."

The voice told him and Theo felt himself unconsciously agreeing with it before he caught himself.

"T-That is not right-! Kyle is not someone I need to keep an eye on. I like him so I should respect his privacy."

Theo sounded sure but the voice just chuckled in his ear.

"Are you sure about that? What if you somehow annoy Kyle because you do not understand him and he decides to leave you? Are you sure you would be able to take it?"

The voice asked and I felt myself freeze.

The voice was right - it was something that would drive me mad. Especially since I had the chance to learn but decided not to.

My silence was more of an answer than I could ever give and my other half appeared behind me.

"Kyle is stubborn, so he will never ask for help first. That might be one of his charms, but it is also something that might become his downfall. So it falls on us to take care of him. And to do that, we need to learn everything about him."

The voice told Theo and he felt more and more like agreeing with it.

Thankfully, he caught himself at the last second and slapped the hand touching his neck now.

"No, we should not. That is not the right-"

His words got cut halfway as his eyes turned to look at the glass once more where Kyle was helping Kuro and Lynn out.

Jealousy burned through Theo’s veins strong enough for him to grip his palms and make them bleed. But he did not even notice.

"Are you still sure you don’t want to get to know Kyle’s words? Others are already trying to take him away from you. It is only a matter of time now."

The voice told me and I felt like that voice knew something I did not.

Theo felt hollow inside, like nothing else mattered to him now as did not have Kyle. He wanted... no, needed Kyle at any cost or he would go mad.

"See, you and I are not so different after all. We both want Kyle and what is best for him. And to do that, we are ready to go to any lengths we can."

The voice sounded assured and Theo felt himself agreeing with it. But he did not say anything out aloud.

"Ah, looks like Kyle is done for now. It’s time for us to return as well. I will come to get you once more when I need you. Until then, you should live your life as carefreely as you want. Get close to Kyle as a human and then, we will slowly make it so that Kyle won’t be able to run away from us."

Theo’s other half assured him and Theo felt weak to that voice and what he was being told. He wanted to let that voice keep speaking, but now it was time to return.

His body escaped the dungeon he was in and he landed back in the house Emma and Ben were in.

"I’ll help you take off the spell those two have on them. You just need to pretend everything is fine from here on."

The voice told me as it faded from my mind. I watched as Emma blinked and looked around. She seemed to be coming out of a daze and recognition flashed in her eyes as soon as she looked at me.

"Theo, where were you? We were just about to call you down for dinner. How weird... I think I wanted to tell you something, but I no longer remember what it was."

Emma spoke, her voice distant. There was no hint about her having forgotten Theo at all.

Ben was in a similar state as he blinked and welcomed Theo back. Theo walked over to the pair and sat down in between them.

He waited for the guilt to come so that he could feel bad about what he just did.

But weirdly enough, the guilt never found him. He just felt relaxed, as if this was where he belonged.

"Ah, now I recall what I needed to tell you. That dungeon Kyle went to - it has been taken care of. Kyle will be back soon and we can return to the cafe. Although, I have no idea how I should face Kyle now. I mean, it feels awkward to tell him to do anything now that I know he’s Ace."

Emma spoke in a flushed voice and Theo pretended to listen to her. He replied to her half the time but the female did not even notice.

Ben also sighed, looking embarrassed and proud at the same time.

Theo waited with them for some time before he went back to his room to relax. He waited there until he could sense that Kyle was back.

Only then did he return back down and his body moved as soon as Kyle crossed the threshold.

"I am back-"

Kyle was not even back properly before Theo warped his arms around him and pulled him into a strong hug.

"Welcome back, Kyle. I missed you so much. Are you tired? Do you want me to give you anything? You don’t have to be shy or hold back when you are with me."

Theo assured the hunter and Kyle just pushed him away to look at him.

"Hey, calm down. I am not going anywhere, so there is no need for you to be like this. As for what you can help me with... can you just take me to my room? I want to rest for now."

Kyle spoke in an almost tired voice and Theo quickly pulled his body up in his arms before he ran toward Kyle’s room.

The poor omega let out a yelp as he was suddenly being carried in strong arms, but he did not even have the time to protest before he was tucked between a pair of sheets and Theo sat beside him.

"Please let me know if you need anything else. I am always here to help you out."

Theo assured and Kyle gave him a look before he burst out into a laugh. Truly, Theo was the best in his opinion.
