Chapter 251: She Bit Me

Lexi came back just after a few minutes. She used her werewolf speed to retrieve the book that she placed behind the cookbooks in the library to hide it.

Everyone looked at the book while Elsa was holding it. In front was the lion head which is the coat of arms of Zemaria and on either side of it were wings similar to the mark on her wrist before.

"Why wings?" Elsa whispered to herself, but the werewolves heard it.

"Your Majesty, if this was really owned by Archmage Nadezhda, then I think the wings represent the angels who gave the divine magic to the humans. It was said that long ago the seraphims gave part of their power to the humans to help them defend themselves from the demons raging war against the heavens and were corrupting them.

The humans who got corrupted by their demonic powers became vampires and werewolves. Whilst the mages became witches. But the question is, how did the book come into Princess Neia’s possession?" Lexi explained.

"I was thinking the same. But since she spent some time in Kurzen, she probably got it there. And I am guessing that the demons were the ones who stole it from Novus," Chris remarked.

"I can’t open it," Elsa mumbled while struggling to open the book.

"My Queen, remember how you can access the archmage’s alchemy room? Try your blood as well," Rylie suggested.

Arla took her dagger from her belt and gave it to Elsa. She then pricked her finger and let her blood drop on the book...

It did not work, so she tried once more, and still, it didn’t work.

"This is useless. I should ask my mom about it later. How about we eat first and proceed with Hoven’s schedule today?" Elsa proposed.

"Alright, but I need someone who will closely keep an eye on me in case I lose control again," Chris said.

"No problem on that. I’ll stay close to you and watch over you the whole day," Hoven quipped making Chris’ face turn sour.

"Shall I send the servants here for your breakfast?" Lexi inquired.

"No need, I think it would be best to eat with the others in the dining hall. Hoven and I will go ahead. I need to talk to Stefan, Andrius, and Drake. The three of you should help Queen Elsa to dress up".

The three ladies-in-waiting of Elsa nodded and Chris gave Elsa a quick kiss on the forehead before leaving.

As soon as Chris and Hoven closed the door, Lexi and Arla jumped into Elsa and Rylie who was not done with her healing.

"Oh my goodness!" Elsa exclaimed.

"Congratulations! You did it! You are now our Queen, Luna," Lexi happily exclaimed.

"Girls, I have a favor to ask. Could you please call me by my name whenever it’s just us? Just like what Chris’ Elite Alphas call him. I must admit, I have been jealous of their closeness all this time. I know that he and the elites have been friends since they were young but I am not from here.

Even when I was young I didn’t make any friends because I was different. Even the best friend that I thought I had was not real. Could you three be my friends?" Elsa said in a somber voice as she lowered her head and stared absentmindedly at her fidgeting fingers.

Lexi was the first one to embrace Elsa followed by Arla and Rylie.

"What are you talking about? You are our friend, Elsa. You don’t have to ask us. We are even willing to risk our lives for you. But seeing your powers, I don’t think you need any saving at all."

"Lexi is right. King Allister gave us the choice to follow you in Arcanis or stay in Zemaria. But all of us chose to be by your side. Not because you are the daughter of our former princess, but because we saw the goodness in you," Arla said.

"That is true. Me and Kaizer will stay wherever you go."

"Speaking of staying, Arla I think you have forgotten that you are a princess in Zemaria now. Once this is all done, I will relieve you of your duty as my lady-in-waiting and head mage. You must go back to Zemaria and be with Drake," Elsa reminded.

Arla covered her mouth as if surprised. "I almost forgot! I am married now!"

All of them laughed at how astonished Arla was.

Arla on the other hand stared at the three ladies before her and thought, ’I will surely miss all of them.’

"Now, let’s stop with the chatter and dress up our Queen. She must be presentable today and every day," Lexi urged.

Meanwhile, Chris and Hoven went to the drawing room where Stefan, Andrius, and Drake were having coffee.

"Good morning, gentlemen," Chris greeted happily as soon as he entered the room.

"Good morning. Looks like the new king is feeling better now," Stefan remarked.

"Almost back to my old self. Are you done with breakfast?"

"Wait a minute, you said almost? Is there something wrong with you still?" Andrius asked.

"A bit. Even though Elsa had removed the hecatolite from my liver. My wolf is still a bit confused about the full moon. I almost lost control this morning, but Elsa was able to bring me back."

"How was she able to do that?" Stefan asked, frowning. He had never heard of such things without using extreme measures.

When a werewolf usually loses control of their inner wolf they are destructive and will take a while before going back to their human form and mind.

"She bit me on the neck," Chris tersely answered.

The was a complete silence in the room as the three gentlemen stared at Chris flabbergasted.

And it was Drake who lost control first and laughed out loud. And so did the others, including Hoven.

"It’s not funny!" Chris retorted.

"Imagine a human biting a werewolf and the werewolf got scared like a little pup!" Stefan teased.

"She’s not just any human, she’s my wife! I will laugh back at you once you get married Stefan, let’s see how scared you will be of your future wife..."

Stefan stopped laughing and cleared his throat. "By the way Chris, I have a proposition. Let me lead the hunt for Queen Yvonne. I will not stop until I find her and Neia..."
