I Just Want to Farm, But My Beasts Keep Evolving!!-Chapter 50: Raiden’s Revenge
"Go, fuck him up, Woolie!!"
Woolie felt the anger of his partner, and he started to take this fight seriously.
Looking at Jacob, who was still acting arrogant, Raiden started to think of ways to get his revenge.
Since it was an official match, it had a few rules to it.
Number One: You can not directly target the Battle Master.
Number Two: You can not kill any Terra Beasts
Number Three: You can not continue to fight if the other party has given up or is deemed unable to fight.
On top of that, there is a strong referee watching from the sides at all times, to ensure that too much harm doesn’t happen.
Under all these conditions, it was really hard to hurt Jacob on stage. He only had one chance to do it. And he needed to make it count, before the referee could interfere. And he wasn’t about to go easy on him.
Raiden crouched down and brought Woolie closer to him.
"Alright, Woolie, here is the plan: we only get one chance to attack him, you need to make it count, okay?"
"Woo??" Woolie felt confused. What was this human talking about??
"See that Terran?" Raiden pointed at a big black dog that was standing at the feet of Jacob, snarling at them.
Woolie nodded.
"I want you to do one thing and hit him like this..."
Raiden spoke to Woolie for about a minute, who felt his head getting dizzy from all this talk. He was just a straightforward beast. But this despicable human was making him act in all sorts of schemes. He deeply felt disdain for him.
But what could he do? He was a good Terran in the end, so he reluctantly agreed.
"Are both parties ready?" The referee interrupted in between.
"Yes!/Bring it on!"
"Alright, match start!!"
"Alright Tommy, Go!! Tear that little sheep to pieces!!" Jacob started barking as soon as the match began.
His Terran opened its jaw and started running towards Woolie, who looked bored. The dog looked laughably slow to him.
"Why are you standing still Woolie, dodge!!" Raiden shouted from behind speechlessly. This dumb sheep has already forgotten all about the plan.
Woolie snapped out of it and disappeared from the spot, appearing at the side.
Seeing this, the hound changed his direction and started going after Woolie again, who once again disappeared using his speed as soon as he got close, appearing behind him.
"Woolie~" ლ(╹◡╹ლ)
"And the match begins!! Woolie has chosen to dodge the first attack made by his opponent. And what is this, he is just keeping on dodging continuously!! This is the first time we have seen him do something like that. The matches are usually over in one minute. Does his opponent have some sort of special power we are not aware of?" Harry commented.
"Well, Woolies are typically known for their peaceful nature and for being farm animals. They don’t like to fight. Black Fang Hound, on the other hand, is used by farm owners to protect their farm and hunt. So, what we are seeing here Harry, is nothing but a normal scene. But then again, our champion Woolie is anything but normal, so I can’t really decipher what he and his trainer are thinking." Hermione analysed seriously.
"And Miss Know-it-all strikes once again!!"
"What did you call me?!"
"Nothing, nothing at all!! I was just calling you beautiful!!"
Jacob, on the other hand, was getting frustrated on the stage. He had tried everything, from long-range to close-range attacks, but nothing seemed to come even close to hitting that little bastard. His patience had already started to thin out.
"What are you, a coward, Raiden? Did you want to go back home crying to your mum again?! Face me head on, if you dare!!"
Raiden looked at Jacob, who was losing his mind, and the referee, who had already started to look a little bit bored.
’Perfect.’
"Alright, Woolie, let’s finish this!! You want to face me head-on, fucker? That’s what you’ll get!!"
Woolie’s eyes lit up after hearing the words. It had been dodging for the previous 10 minutes, and it was getting really bored.
He disappeared from his position and appeared directly in front of Jacob, just a meter away from him.
Seeing this, Jacob saw a perfect chance.
"Tommy, let’s finish this fight!! Get him!! Use Quick Attack and Super Fang!!" Jacob pulled out the hidden combo he had saved for finals. Not all Terra Beasts could use multiple moves at once. In fact, it was a pretty rare skill.
Hearing his words, Tommy howled and opened his mouth as fangs made up of energy appeared. Without thinking, he started rushing towards Woolie, leaving behind a wide trench in his wake.
Woolie just stood there in attention, watching him get close faster and faster.
10 Meters!!
5 Meters!!
2 Meters!!
1 Meter!!
0.5 Meter!!
Raiden, who was watching this closely, felt himself resonate with Woolie. When the moment came, he knew what to do.
"Now!!"
Woolie’s eyes sharpened instantly as he disappeared from his place.
The Black Fang Hound’s eyes widened as he felt his opponent disappear, his Battle Master taking his place.
Jacob similarly went wide-eyed as he felt the threat.
Both of them tried to stop it. But his Terran was moving too fast, with too much momentum behind his strike.
In a split second, the attack connected with Jacob.
Squelch. Crack.
The whole stadium fell silent as they saw Jacob’s body fly airborne like a ragdoll, before crashing down from the stage, unmoving, his whole torso coated red.
There was a pin drop silence before all hell broke loose.
"JACOBBB!! NOOOO!!" A rugged-looking man appeared instantly near Jacob, crying as he looked at his barely breathing son.
Looking at his son, his heart seemed to break as he turned around to glare at Raiden.
"You!! You harmed my son!! Pay with your life!!" As soon as he finished speaking, a large hound appeared in front of him. Unlike his son, this was more than two meters tall and had bloody red eyes.
In a split second, he appeared in front of Raiden before he could react, his jaw opened wide to bite his head off.
Raiden felt the time slow down to a crawl as he saw the massive jaw getting closer and closer, spiralling him towards his doom.
