The Royal Mark-Chapter 217: Important Announcement
It only took them less than a day to travel back from Qiryn to Zemaria since Elsa, Elandir, and Valeria helped the water and air mages on board manipulating the water and air elements around them to make the ship sail faster.
Elandir kept his hood on his head until they reached Rügengard Castle, to keep the onlookers from murmuring to each other since it would be the first time in many years that they would see an elf in their land. It has been more than half a millennium since Qiryn closed its door to everyone or maybe more.
Prince Andrius and Prince Drake happily greeted everyone from the entrance of the castle and were utterly disappointed when they didn’t see Rocco with her.
Prince Andrius was the first one to ask since Drake already had an idea of what happened. "Where is our grandson? Wow, that is so awkward to hear. But back to my question, where is he?"
"We left him in Qiryn. He is safer there than here. In case of an attack, everyone in Qiryn has magic and will not be easily infiltrated by the enemies, unlike Zemaria which has civilians with no powers and also need protection," Elsa explained.
"But isn’t it better for him if a family member is taking care of him? He is too young to be left alone with strangers. No offense, Elandir. I just think that Rocco should grow up around family," Prince Andrius remarked.
"Andrius, he is with family. His grandmother. My mom will be taking care of him in the meantime," Elsa answered, leaving Andrius dumbfounded. He stared at Elsa, trying to comprehend what she was talking about.
Drake hooked his arm on his brother’s neck and laughed, "Brother, don’t you get it? Our sister Hera is alive! Elandir was able to save her by bringing her to the Tree of Life. Fortunately, the tree saw her as a valuable creature in Vectus and decided to heal her..." Drake goes on and on but the surprised expression on Andrius’ face does not fade.
"Where is Milda?" King Allister asked upon noticing that his daughter was not there.
That was the only time that Andrius was able to get back to himself.
"I’m sorry Father, I tried to make her join us but she doesn’t want to. She is still sulking about, Mother. Is Hera really alive?" Andrius can’t help but ask the king as if it’s only King Allister whom he believes.
"Yes, she is. Please have someone call Milda let’s all meet in the drawing room, I have an important announcement to make..." King Allister said before turning to Elandir, "Please join us, Prince Elandir."
"I will call Milda. She is not talking to Drake, she blames him for Mother’s exile. So I would be the best person to call her. I would also inform her about Hera," Andrius said.
"Tell her it’s an order from the King. And if doesn’t want to be exiled too, she must go to the drawing room," King Allister sternly ordered.
Everyone waited for Milda in the drawing room and to Drake and Andrius’ surprise, she was more willing this time, but Drake immediately suspected her actions, knowing his sister.
"I apologize, Father, for not welcoming you upon your arrival. I just have a headache due to too much crying about, Mother, last night. I hope you understand," Milda immediately mentioned upon entering the room.
"Of course, I don’t, dear. How are you feeling now?" King Allister said.
"Much better. The cook made some herb soup for me. Rylie also visited me earlier and she healed me, so I am alright now," Milda informed the king.
"That’s good to hear... Alright everyone please take a seat. I have an announcement to make... I have decided to marry Valeria..." King Allister paused to see the reaction of his three children.
Andrius and Drake immediately congratulated them. Allister expected disapproval from Milda, but she just stayed silent and nodded. And the king saw that as a good sign that his daughter accepted his decision.
However, Milda clenched her fist while holding her skirt. She’s not happy about it, but, what can she do, she’s only a princess and her father is the King of Zemaria. So she decided to just stay silent and chose to not express her thoughts.
"Congratulations, Father, Mistress Valeria," Milda said surprising everyone.
Ciel squinted her eyes and said to Elsa via their mind link, [Liar! She must be brewing something in her mind.]
’Ciel, give her a chance. Of course, it is not easy to accept that your father is marrying another woman. Even I, know that. It’s only natural that Aunt Milda will be against it, instead, she chose to congratulate Grandpa and Grandma. I think it just shows how mature she is,’ Elsa replied to Ciel.
[I still don’t believe her. I smell something fishy about that woman and I am not liking it.] 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
Elsa smiled as she shook her head while petting Ciel. She might be a dog but she would entrust her life to her. She was wiser than any human that she had ever met, well except for her mother.
"When are you planning to get married, Grandpa?" Elsa asked knowing that everyone wanted to know that as well.
"We plan to do it upon your return. I want all my family to be there, including Hera. That’s why I asked you to be here, Prince Elandir. I would like to ask if we can get married in the sea of Qiryn. We will get married on the ship during sunset so Hera can join us. I don’t want to bring so many people to Qiryn. Family members and close friends would be enough."
"Yes, of course, Your Majesty. We can arrange that for you. I am sure it would be a very romantic setting," Elandir approved.
"Thank you, Prince Elandir." King Allister then signaled Andrius that it was his turn to speak.
"Now that Father and Mistress Valeria’s wedding is settled. I want to talk about our departure in going to Arcanis. We will leave in five da–"
"Tomorrow, we will leave tomorrow..." Elsa cut off Andrius astonishing everyone with the timeframe that she had given.
