Chapter 218: Fooling Father

"Tomorrow, we will leave tomorrow..." Elsa cut off Andrius.

She wanted to go back to Rocco as soon as possible and that would only happen if she could rescue Chris and the others right away. Wasting even a single minute or hour is definitely not an option.

"That is too soon, Elsa. We have to prepare for our departure and so is everyone who will come with us. And that’s not only physical preparation but also mental and spiritual. We are going to a war not vacation," Andrius mentioned.

Elsa sighed, call her selfish but right now she’s only thinking about her newborn baby and no one else. As much as she wants to push it, she knows that she can’t. "Alright, I will compromise. We leave the day after tomorrow. If everyone does not want to accept that, I will rescue my husband on my own so we can go back to our baby as soon as possible.

My son is still feeding from me and every time that he is hungry I can feel it. So no, I will not wait for more than two days. I will not force anyone to go with me, so it’s your decision whether you will come with me or not. Now if you will excuse me, I have some pumping to do," Elsa stood up and left the room.

She halted upon stepping out of the drawing because Rylie and the rest of her mages were waiting outside, surprising her. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

"Princess!" Arla greeted her with wide open arms and she immediately took it, jumping onto Arla.

She doesn’t know why but she sobbed the moment Arla hugged her followed by Rylie. Baahu, Dasher, and Kaizer patted her back as she wailed on Arla and Rylie’s shoulders.

"Princess, we’re sorry you have to leave baby Rocco behind. We would want to meet him very badly," Arla said.

"Don’t worry, Your Highness, we were able to manage to find a messenger bird that’s bid enough to carry milk from here to Qiryn. Rocco can still drink his mother’s milk," Rylie mentioned, causing Elsa to stop crying.

She wiped her tears while still sniffing, "Really? The bird can do that?"

"There’s no need for that. It will only work while we are here. Once we get to Arcanis, it will be a problem. I already told Princess Hera that I would portal the milk to her," Elandir suddenly spoke, startling everyone.

Elsa nodded and finally smiled, but not her mages...

"Princess Hera? What a coincidence, same name as Princess Elsa’s mother," Arla blurted.

"My mother is alive, Arla, everyone. Elandir saved her and is now living in Qiryn. It’s a long story, I will tell you later. But first I need to pump this milk," Elsa uttered.

"We will assist you, Princess," Rylie said.

"By the way, I plan to leave, the day after tomorrow. Regardless of who will join me by then, My uncles plan to leave in five days and I cannot wait that long," Elsa addressed to everyone, including Elandir.

"We will make the necessary preparations then. I, too, cannot wait that long," Baahu said making Elsa smile.

She had almost forgotten that Baahu and Lexi are married now and of course, Baahu is feeling the same as her. They both want to rescue their other half.

Meanwhile, in the drawing room, Prince Andrius is debating with King Allister on whether they will follow what Elsa wants or not. Surprisingly, Drake agrees with him this time to leave after five days not like what Elsa was suggesting.

"Let them leave early brother, they won’t be able to break through the enemies’ combined defenses anyway. So the moment we set sail, for sure they are still in the front line," Drake said.

"Let’s talk about this again at dinner. I will first talk to your niece. Right now I am very tired from our journey and I will rest first," the king mentioned. Everyone soon left the drawing room following the king, except for Andrius and Drake.

"I’m glad you stayed," Drake said to Andrius.

"Well, I would like to hear your explanation, and seeing you not moving from that seat, I figured you wanted to talk."

"Yes. We will leave according to Elsa’s plan. Just us, since the troops are already stationed in the south, Milda will have no idea that we already left, we can just say to Father and Milda that we will get resources first from the northeast port before we go to the camp in the south. In order to make Milda believe, we should not inform our father as well. However, we will tell them that we were able to convince Elsa and her mages will just stay south to train Elsa until we get there on the fifth day." Drake explained.

"You are still doubting Milda, even after her innocence had been proven?"

"Yes, Brother. She and Mother are very close to each other. Don’t get me wrong, I still love them both very much but, we are rescuing a family member too plus winning this war is essential not only to Arcanis but also to our people.

As Father said, if they totally take over Arcanis, it will be very hard to stop them from taking over Zemaria and Vrenada. Then if they defeat the two kingdoms Qiryn which is the last hope of Vectus will be defeated as well. Fooling Father and Milda now will not do them any harm, but not doing so will cost the freedom of many in case Mother still got a hold of our sister," Drake expounded.

Andrius smiled, which is not common for him making Drake confused. It made him wonder if Andrius finds his reasoning ridiculous or logical.

"Good job, Brother. When I become King of Zemaria, I don’t care if you are not our father’s son, I will still make you my second in command," Andrius announced.

Drake was so astounded by Andrius’ words and he was speechless. He knew that his brother heard what their mother revealed but making him second in command was already as good as making him the Crown Prince or his brother’s heir until his first son was born.

"I know that you feel like you don’t deserve it, but you do. You care about our people more than anyone else, enjoy the position while you can. Anyway, you will hold that right until my firstborn is of age. But before that, I need to find a wife first," Andrius smirked and patted Drake’s shoulder and added, "I will do what you have suggested, go and talk to our niece, while I do the necessary preparations," before leaving the room.
