The Royal Mark-Chapter 176: Love Confession

"We truly appreciate your concern for our princess, Your Majesty. However, Princess Elsa’s grandmother, Mistress Valeria is really worried. The same goes with our father. The mistress thinks that she could try other things that elves’ magic could not do. And perhaps she will wake up after that." As expected by everyone, it was Prince Drake who quickly opposed the king’s suggestion.

"Alright. The healer who is currently taking care of Princess Elsa would want to discuss a few things with you just in case you will insist on bringing her home," Elandir butted in.

King Tyrion and Queen Ydril’s eyes widened at what they heard, and the king asked, "She did say that? That she will personally talk to the princes? Have she thought about and really made up her mind?"

Prince Andrius and Prince Drake frowned at how weird the king’s questions were. The two glanced back and forth between King Tyrion and Elandir, with questioning looks on their faces.

"Yes, father. I confirmed it with her earlier and she was certain about it."

"Do you mind telling us what is going on? Who is this healer that you are talking about?" Andrius couldn’t help it anymore. His curiosity is getting the best of him.

"It will be a surprise, Your Highness. That’s why you have to stay longer. I promise you that it will be a good surprise. But tell me, you’ve mentioned before that you also have good news." Elandir uttered.

"Ah yes. We will have information every now and then from Arcanis. We cannot ask for it though, because it will endanger the life of our spy. But she can relay messages easily without getting caught as long as we do not send her one," Prince Andrius explained.

"How is that possible?" King Tyrion asked with doubt.

"Luckily, one of the werewolves and one of the mages who are guarding the princess are mates. So the werewolf marked the mage and now they are bonded."

Prince Drake was surprised to learn that since he was not informed about it. He quickly looks at Arla who is busy eating and not bothered about the ongoing conversation.

"How is that different from their mental links? And it has been like that ever since right?" King Tyrion was still confused about how it favored them.

"Let me explain, Your Highness," Baahu requested and Andris nodded in agreement.

"Your Majesty, my name is Baahu and I am one of the mages guarding Princess Elsa. The witch queen went to Novus and got a metal choker. She put that to every werewolf that is linked to Princess Elsa to control and punish them since they are immune to curses and could heal much faster.

The choker would also electrocute anyone who will talk via their links. However, King Alaric found out that when a werewolf thinks and their bonded mate hears it, it doesn’t electrify the werewolf maybe because humans are not linked to Princess Elsa.

But if the human mate talks to the werewolf mate then it will trigger the choker. So now the werewolf will always think about the information that needed to be relayed to us and all I have to do is to not talk to her or block her mentally."

"You? You were the one who was bonded and not Arla?" Prince Drake quickly asked.

Arla heard her name and swiftly focused her attention on the ongoing conversion.

"No, Prince Drake. I am Lexi’s mate, she marked me and we have to complete the bond to make it work. Here take a look." Baahu explained.

Drake quickly checked Baahu’s neck and exhaled loudly, saying, "Oh thank God! It’s you and not Arla."

Everyone stared at Drake. Some were pondering, some were surprised. But both Rylie and Queen Ydril were giggling.

"Is it bad if I am a mate of a werewolf?" Arla murmured but everyone heard it because of the silence in the hall as everyone was staring at Prince Drake.

"Yes! Don’t ever let yourself get marked by any werewolf, do you understand?" Prince Drake briskly retorted without thinking.

Queen Ydril cleared her throat and said, "Prince Drake, I think you should clarify what you have just proclaimed. You are confusing the lady. You don’t want her to think otherwise right?"

"Clarify what?" Dasher asked Rylie who facepalmed herself with both hands.

"Kai, I think you should teach your brother how to be sensitive or much better, teach him romance," Rylie said to Kaizer.

"Drake you are humiliating me. Can you declare your affection later, in private and not while we are in a meeting with the king and queen?" Prince Andrius whispered to his brother who quickly blushed after realizing what he had just done.

Queen Ydril was enjoying the scene and with the elves’ excellent hearing, she perfectly heard what Prince Andrius said.

"That is perfectly fine, Prince Andrius. We don’t mind witnessing some love confession every now and then. With our age, witnessing such makes us feel young again. Right love?" Queen Ydril nudged King Tyrion prompting him to nod.

Prince Drake scratched the back of his neck and said, "Your Majesties, I think my brother is right I will do it later, in private. I appreciate your support."

"Alright dear, your call. But let’s go back to the marking of the mage and the werewolf. Baahu, correct me if I am wrong, but does it mean that you are officially married to the werewolf who was left in Arcanis?"

"Yes, Your Majesty."

"I don’t know much about their marking ritual but when you said to complete the bond, what do you mean?"

Baahu’s face turned red and so was everyone who knew about it. But Baahu has no other choice but to answer the Queen. "We uhm, we have to mate, like how a couple consummates the marriage after the wedding."

"Oh! I see..." Was the only reply of the queen whose face also turned red as the hall was consumed by the awkward silence.
