The Royal Mark-Chapter 149: Wind Up
"What the fuck happened here?" Hoven exclaimed.
"Could you take care of that alpha Rylie is healing? I’m afraid I might not be able to control myself again if I go near him," Elsa instructed while dispelling curses on the rebel werewolves and removing the implanted worms.
"What happened to the prince?" Hoven asked, crouching beside Chris who was still unconscious.
"They poisoned him. Laureen said wolfsbane could be one of the ingredients of what was given to him but there’s more. So we need that alpha alive to get the information." Elsa answered before questioning the werewolf that she was healing.
"Where are the others?"
"We don’t know exactly where they are bringing them, but that alpha and the prince know. Some from our group took them away," the man informed Elsa.
"Rylie, is that dumbass gonna survive already? If yes, come here and heal the rest. I finished dispelling the curses of everyone. I will check on Chris," Elsa implored.
"This man will live from this point, but if I stop healing him now, a lot of his injuries will not heal on their own and he will have scars and deformities. You burned him so well that even his fast healing cannot heal the damage you’ve done," Rylie explained.
To Rylie’s surprise, instead of showing remorse, Elsa chuckled. "I really did well. It will serve everyone a lesson, to not betray my husband again."
"But they were forced to do that," Rylie countered.
"Well, not him. I saw it on his face as he dragged Chris earlier. His eyes were showing hate and vengeance. So I am sure, he really sided with Alaric on his own accord. Nuri might have control over me earlier but I have seen it all."
Hoven inspected the face of the alpha and said, "You surely overdid it, princess, he is unrecognizable." He then asked one of the werewolves, "Who is this moron?"
"He is Alpha Erwan of Wind Winder Pack."
"He surely is wind up. Rylie, don’t waste your energy in healing that guy. The princess is correct. He is one of the alphas who are opposing to Chris taking the throne. He is on Alaric’s side." Hoven answered.
"Oh! Alright, I will heal the rest then," Rylie immediately stood up leaving the recuperating alpha, and started extracting the worms from the rest.
"Is the prince in pain?" Hoven asked Elsa.
"I don’t know, Hoven. He blocked me from our bond, I don’t know what he is feeling right now."
"He could still block you given the state he is in?"
"Yes, he can. Is it a good thing?" Elsa wondered since it made sense. How could a patient like him even if he is a werewolf, be in control of their bond when he is already fighting death?
"It means he is not totally helpless. Wolfsbane has no cure and it depends on the individual’s body if they can endure and cope with it until their body heals by itself. He must be in pain for him to block you. He probably doesn’t want you to know that," Hoven stated.
"Oh Chris, I wish he could just share some of it with me, to lessen it even just a bit." Tears were filling up Elsa’s eyes again and she could feel the anger brewing inside her once more. Burning Alpha Erwan was not enough retribution for her. She wanted to punish more, she wanted to hurt everyone who planned on harming Chris.
"I can do it for you, Your Highness. Chris is my best friend and he is like a brother to me. Please allow me to help even by just taking some of his pain," Hoven requested and Elsa nodded in agreement.
Hoven gripped Chris’ hand and his eyes widened in surprise. Purple and dark veins quickly became visible on his arm, shoulder, and neck. "Holy shit! Chris is dealing with some serious pain."
Elsa panicked, "What should we do?"
Hoven raised his left hand calling for his beta, "Inform all the nearest available alphas to meet us in the castle. We need to reduce the pain he is having or it might kill him. His heart might not be able to bear it."
He called another werewolf and ordered, "Chain everyone and start moving them to the castle. Let’s move the prince out of here."
"I sent out Laureen and Lexi to find something that I need to help prevent the poison from spreading," Elsa informed Hoven.
"It’s ok princess, we can just tell them to meet us."
Everyone started moving towards the castle. On their way, there would be some werewolves that would offer to help Chris by doing pain transference but Hoven only allowed alphas and strong betas to do it since others would not be able to handle the pain.
Halfway through their journey, Laureen and Lexi joined them with the bamboo and coconut shells that Elsa ordered to look for.
"What took you so long?" Elsa impatiently asked.
Laureena and Lexi slightly got hurt by Elsa’s tone of voice, after the effort that they exerted to find those. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
"We had to go to the south to find them. It is not easy to find those," Laureen answered.
Elsa did not respond and turned to Arla, "I need something similar to an oven, can you make one using your earth element?"
Arla nodded and said, "Yes, I need Rylie’s water element to shape it smoothly like that."
"Go and do it, I only need a small one."
"Now everyone look at this. Since wolfsbane is one of the werewolves’ weaknesses, you can with slow down the poison and sometimes expel it with activated charcoal. It will help the toxins from the poison from being absorbed fully in your stomach that will go to your bloodstream," Elsa taught them.
When Arla and Rylie were finished, Elsa put the bamboo and coconut shells that Hoven crushed earlier with his fist into the makeshift oven and burned it with such intense firepower until it turned black.
Elsa asked Baahu to crush it until it became pulverized. She then made Chris take a spoonful of it before they began their journey back to the castle once more.
