The Royal Mark-Chapter 142: Purple Shoulder
When Elsa woke up, Chris was no longer beside her and the sky was dark. She was wearing her nightwear and was already cleaned up. She looked around and saw a note on the bedside table.
<I didn’t wake you up anymore. I went ahead since I could not stay any longer, we had to complete our mission. I love you, my wife. Call for me when you wake up. I miss you already.>
’Good evening, my prince.’ Elsa uttered via their bond.
’So my princess is awake. I told Rylie to heal you when you wake up,’ Chris mentioned.
’Heal me? Why? I feel fine. Well except for the soreness between my legs which will go away tomorrow.’
’Look in the mirror. I have to go, Elsa. Please focus on your training while I’m gone. See you soon.’ Chris then closed their link which made Elsa pout but she thinks it’s for the best. Chris could have been engaging in a battle and it would just worry her if she felt whatever he was going through there. She trusts her husband and she knows that Chris could defeat anyone who will come his way especially now that he and their pack are immune to the witch’s curses.
She stood up and winced at the soreness between her legs but set it aside to check what Chris was talking about. "WHAT THE HECK!" She shrieked.
Her ladies-in-waiting burst through the door when Laureen and Lexi heard her. "What happened, Your Highness?" Arla asked in worry.
Elsa closed her eyes and breathed in deeply before breathing out slowly. "Do werewolves always do this?" She pulled down her collar to show the girls her shoulder with purple marks where Chris bit her.
"Uhm... Sometimes, I heard, but not everyone. The men usually do it if they are overwhelmed and can’t get enough of their partner. But then, we heal fast so we don’t bruise like that." Laureen answered while trying hard not to laugh.
’Looks like our prince is a vigorous one,’ Laureen to Lexi making her chuckle.
"It is not funny Lexi," Rylie scolded her, "A princess needs to wear dresses and needs to look presentable. What the prince did was completely unacceptable."
"You sound like a mother Rylie," Elsa said. "I am fine, nothing that you can’t heal," Elsa smiled and gestured for Rylie to sit beside her.
"I will heal you, but I will definitely scold your husband when I see him, even if he is a prince!" Everyone laughs at how eager Rylie is to prevent Chris from biting Elsa again.
When Elsa’s ladies-in-waiting were done healing and feeding her dinner, Arla and Rylie wasted no time in teaching Elsa how to properly calculate her mana when using a spell.
"This oval glass is enchanted so when you cast a spell it will become full with water, meaning that’s the amount of mana that you need for that spell. You hold this with your left while you cast the spell using your right. If you use too much, the glass will break so practice not breaking a lot," Arla handed over the oval glass to Elsa and started showing her how to use it.
Elsa was very keen on learning it as soon as possible so she could join her husband right away. She broke a handful of glass until Arla decided to call it a night.
"It is already late, Your Highness. You should rest. We will continue tomorrow," Arla said.
"You may leave. I’ll practice a bit on my own, tell the servants to bring me two more boxes of these," Elsa replied without looking at Arla. She put all her focus on the oval glass in her hand.
’This glass looks like an egg and breaks like an egg too. What am I doing wrong? It keeps on breaking!’ Elsa thought.
After a short while the servants who brought her two more boxes of oval glass arrived, with them was Mistress Valeria whom Elsa didn’t notice since she was so focused on practicing.
"Looks like someone is pulling an all-nighter," Valeria remarked.
Elsa broke the oval glass in her hand in surprise, not expecting to hear her grandmother’s voice.
"Grandma! You are back!"
"Yes, dear. I arrived hours ago but you were sleeping. I was informed that the prince is still not done tiring you out even if the ritual was already done. Are you two in a hurry to give us great-grandchildren?" Valeria joked causing Elsa to blush.
Valeria laughed when Elsa opened her mouth only to close it again, she was so embarrassed that she didn’t know what to say. "It’s alright dear. You two just got married and it was only normal to be head over heels with each other."
"I want to ask you something regarding children. I know that it is my duty as Chris’ wife to give him children especially since he needs heirs but I am not ready for that. Not now that there’s a war. Is there something here in Vectus that could prevent pregnancy?" Elsa bravely asked Valeria.
She doesn’t know how will her grandmother perceive it but she is willing to take a risk. Even though they had already done the deed and Chris had released his seed inside her many times, she still wanted to know if there was a way to stop her from conceiving just until the war was over.
"I understand what you mean. And yes there is. I will ask the servants to get it for you. It is a tea that you have to take every day, so you can not miss a day. And I guess that you know that you cannot take it now right?" the mistress clarified.
"Yes, grandma. I will take it after I am sure that I am not pregnant. And that would be in two weeks’ time," Elsa crossed her finger behind her and thought, ’I am so dead. I forgot about my period, and I am fertile this week.’
"I’ll ask Arla to pack a lot for you. Now let’s talk about your training. Let me see your progress."
"There is no progress, grandma. I have destroyed a lot of glasses already. I just can’t seem to do it right. It’s either I used very little mana or I use too much," Elsa sighed in frustration.
"Get a glass, I’ll teach you."
