The Reborn Witch had a nice 'Tea Time' with the Dragon Queen today-Chapter 23: Uh Oh (1)
Chapter 23 - Uh Oh (1)
The Draconic Empire of Tamara was a vast, natural terrain. No infrastructure, no architectures, no roads or bridges. What would have been expected as a 'home' for the Peacekeeper who shook hands with humanity was instead a domain for beastly claws and fires.
To the East lies colossal caverns for the Earth Dragons, their carefree nature and heavy shellbacks submit them to a slackly, indoor lives as they slept their long years away. Venturing the Southern sky is the volcanic mountains for the Fire Dragons, their fighting spirit and agile wings erupted, as much as the lavas that revelled their obedience to their natures. Diving deep into the West is a grandiose ponds for the water dragons, their pursuit for self-improvement and fin-like skins propelled their swims in the water, splashes and rallying cries a part of their sport routines. One glance to the North, however, is the quiet home of the sky dragon. An ever solemness, an ever shut-off to the outside world from the scorched clearings without a single resident, as if underground remained their true homes against the outsiders, the betrayers and their own Queen.
However, there remains one structure that housed the sky dragons, the true families of Adrei who followed her and her cause for peace. In the centre of the Empire, floated a celestial isle below the white clouds, the large colosseum a silent sentinel to the Empire. The moon hang high as the backdrop that enveloped the island, a grace reserved for the last bation of the Dragon Elders' Council. And most of all, a huge barrier could be witnessed. The magic barrier was constructed by the Ashen Dragon Mage Yasen, a transparent circular barrier that housed the entire island from the outside world, the unique pride of the sky dragons could be found from this gesture for isolation, much to the dismay for the Water Dragons who would kindly reciprocate their noble presence.
Now, one might ask what duties the honoured sky dragons, the strongest of fours in the Empire, are fulfilling up in the air. The colosseum was at a height even the Fire Dragon's wings could not reach, a testament to their detachment for the lands below. And so, assumptions were made by the 'inferior', 'lowly' kins that could not stretch their wings for the sky, the Earth Dragon mocked them as lazy old farts who bathed in precious wines, the Fire Dragon crowned them as eternal fighters who bathed in each other's bloods, and the Water Dragon assumed them as elegant nobles who bathed precious, stifling manners for diplomacy with humans.
Well, they are certainly bathing, in the joy of something entirely unexpected. Within the colosseum housed an outdoor , marbled meeting room with a wide, circular table, the ceiling meeting the tall walls of the colosseum. But instead of chairs, they had sofas for negotiations. Instead of documents, they had popcorns for formal affairs. And instead of elders with beards and frowns, they had royal, gold-haired maidens with crumbs of chips under their lips and excited grins for grim concerns.
And that grim concern was related to the centre of the table, with a video footage that was displayed above a magic crystal. Within the video broadcasted a dragon and a witch, sleeping together in that wobbly carriage.
"Damn, frosty lap pillows?" One of the royals spoke, the chips in both sides of her cheeks muffled her speech as her emerald eyes narrowed at the 'iced pillars'. "How nice...I want one as well."
"Well you can just ask auntie for it. They're married now anyways." Another royals with ashen eyes sipped teas bit by bit with one hand, while raising the other hand to the side.
"Hm...how would you rate the old man's thighs now? I bet it's as squishy as sister's." A smirky pair of slithery eyes glanced at frowning sister, as she delivered the popcorn to her hand.
"How inadequate. Thighs' plumpness shall never precede over armpits' dampness." The ashen-eyed noble protested, her tea bubbling with her excited mana.
"Oh? Won't it be proven too rash for the couple, one who merely had their first kiss on the mountain?" The slit-eyed noble rebutted, her index finger raised like a scholar teaching a novice.
"Didn't sister touch her bum and lick her ears already? I don't think the armpits will last long." The emerald-eyed dragon countered, an innocent disciple's talent surpassing the aged scholar who flustered at her own ignorance of the natural progression of romances, with a nod of approval from the ashen-eyed royal.
"Enough."
A stern voice clocked the discussion to a close, as the three pairs of Draconic eyes, each a representation for humanity's guardians focused on another. The cold marbles under their bare feet heated through their scales, as their loosened brows stricken for the fiery, dominant aura in one corner.
"This second sister request for this elders' meeting not for chatters. Despite the lack of attendances, and...the understandable reactions for lives' footages, leave your pervertedness for later." The azure eyes scanned across the room. The glossy winds from the sky seethed as multiple eyes of ancient old runes reflected the wisdom of pillars behind the peace between dragons and humanity.
The moving clouds were the only watchers for their noble manners, as the whitely marbles built as testaments for their cooperation with humans beneath them. If not for their first sister, their queen, Adrei, they would never enjoy the convenience of colosseum, the softness of sofas, and the sweet aromas of popcorns.
Their joys were built on the foundation of peace, as well as their sister's safety. Therefore, they shall set aside casual chatters for now and focus at the threats ahead.
"The Vampires. This is a strange activity, even from them." The azure-eyed Dragon, Afina, frowned as she crossed her arms, the blue scales shimmering under the moonlight. "Necron. Bloodfiend. Houndschneize. We once massacred all of these families with the hero in the Great War of the North. None, and none would have remained, given the thoroughness of the hero."
"But didn't Alice merely throw a blizzard, before calling us to wrap the rest?" The emerald-eyed warrior Jadyn threw her arms up, as she lazily gazed back to the footage with the witch's head now slipping off the lap pillow.
"Alice the Hero didn't merely throw a 'blizzard'. But rather, each icicles fallen conjured a deadly poison that spread across the lands and walls." The ashen eyed sorcerer Yasen sipped her teeth again. "None had the capacity survive, according to this mage's calculation."
All of their runed eyes did not hint a slight hesitation or doubt. The hero's prowess, carefulness, and merciless were as sure as the outdoor breeze that met their bangs, a natural calamity that would struck down their magnanimous colosseum in a blink of an eye, the assurance from one of the eldest sorcerer only furthered this affirmation.

"Then that leaves the blood nobles that did not participate in the Great War then." The slit-eyed tactician Nyoka held her chin in contemplation. "Troublesome, but not unmanageable. Let's not assume the merchant's suspiciously rude demeanour yet, and focus instead on identifying the dead from the noble families. They remain the only bloodlines with human forms, and the corpses shall serve nicely to count who's missing."
"Then the documents from the Human Kingdom for the blood nobles' identities were needed." The azure eyed dragon nodded, before her brows curled up into a scowl. "Nyoka. Check with the strategists from the Royal Courts. Count the heads in the Haunted Graveyards along with the document provided to ensure if anyone's missing."
"Roger roger..." the slit eyed noble swung her palm, the casualness of the gesture belying her reliability as a diplomat.
"And Yasen." Afina's azure eyes turned towards the sorcerer. "Contact Alice immediately. This may be a dire situation where our enemies' plans were in the hiding. We need as much firepower as we can have."
"I understand." Yasen lifted her fingertip, now coated with an ashen color like her eyes', onto the side of her forehead, a subtle surge of mana seeped into the marble, a foreshadowing for a telecom magic across the seas and lands beneath.
"For Jadyn. 'Convince' the impulsive fire dragons to fly some diplomats onto the nations near the Town of Rouen where the old man and our sisters are headed towards. Bring any axe or sword with you." The azure eyed dragon sighed, as Jadyn flexed a little with a smug. "We must announce the marriage early instead of secrecy, now that our enemies have revealed their knowings of the peculiar alliance between the Witch and the Dragon."
"Oh, the good old ways of punching them till they agree again." Jadyn laughed, her gaping mouth full of popcorns.
"Unfortunately, the kins need much convincing, as much as they won't allow the 'lowly' beings on their back." The azure-eyed dragon frowned, before raising her arms in defeat. "Well it is not my duty. Once the eldest sister is back, I'll be relieved and the policies for our unintelligent kins can be dealt with later."
"There I should say...it won't be of problem much longer." The slit-eyed noble gazed at the witch in the footage meaningfully, who sneezed a cackle from her sleep, unaware the fate of a species now landed heavily on her shoulders.
"Well then, let us wait for Alice." Afina smiled as she leaned back. Her strict posture now slackened in front of her family, as the second sister instead of the temporary leader of the Elders' Council. "Now should be a good time. Go on. Continue your discussion about thighs and armpits. I'm very, very interested."
"Uh...second sister..." Ironically, the relaxed outlook only caused fears as everyone's eyes glanced at each other. The marbles under the floor now cackled with manas, and the smiley competitiveness from their second sister was overt and apparent.
The moonlight danced around the room, as the drifting clouds now warned of an imminent pain that would arrive upon them. The sisters nodded in agreement, before turning towards the azure-eyed dragon. They knew not to offend the second strongest of their age, and knew better to tackle the depths of perverseness of the second eldest in the room.
"Feet is the best, second sister." Yasen, with her courageous wisdom from forbidden tomes, started first.
