The Reborn Witch had a nice 'Tea Time' with the Dragon Queen today-Chapter 24: Uh Oh (2)
Chapter 24 - Uh Oh (2)
"Ah-ah yes...of course who wouldn't like feet..." The emerald-eyed warrior battered her eyes away, even with the four hundreds of years in the battlefield she could not stomach the slight disgust for her second eldest.
"The glossiness of a fridged feet, coated in frost and glitters of snowflakes...truly a desert you wouldn't find even at the sweetest bakeries in the Kingdoms of Pixies." Drumming up all the flowery words in her dictionary, the slit-eyed noble bowed with sincerity.
"Very good. I'm glad we're connoisseurs for aspiring something far greater than us." As if expecting nothing but agreements, the second eldest sister nodded, her smiling eyes matching of an innocent pixy.
The room grew quieter, the clacks of the marbled floor echoing the nervousness of their hearts, as they watched the video of the dragon and the witch, unbothered by the gravity of their discussion. The popcorns grew stale and the tea cold as the tension grew thick in the room.
The awkwardness of the room was palpable as the dragons continued their banter about the human body parts they found most appealing, an odd yet surprisingly effective way to ease the tension that hung in the air as a result of a selfish 'connoisseur'. Afina, ironically after asserting her love for feet, didn't mind the conversation. It was a pleasant discussion that would bring their tyrant father to shame, but it was their way of coping with the bygone dread that was the Great War.
"Ah, Alice contacted us!" The ashen eyed mage, Yasen, announced suddenly, breaking the perverted discussion with the abruptness of a popcorn kernel bursting in the microwave.
"Very good. Let us brief the situation immediately." A wave of seriousness washed over the room, the dragons setting aside their snacks and straightening their postures as ashen eyed sorcerer closed her eyes, telegraphing with the hero that brought the demon king's head.
To her surprise, however, all she heard from her linked mind with Alice was the passing gales that were knives to the scaled ears, and the icy manas that dripped like glacial meltwater from the sorcerer's fingertips. Yasen's eyes frowned, before the hero suddenly froze.
Alice was flying mid-air, her eyes snapped open as she felt the sudden intrusion of Yasen's telepathic message. Smirking, with the ease of a diplomat that faced the dragon queen, she turned around towards Yasen's direction, her lips mouthing a line of dialogue, as a creepy echo reverberated through the link.
Yasen tilted her head, as she opened her eyes and met her fellow elders' curious gazes.
"Watch your head, she said." Yasen deciphered the message, her frown deepening into a scowl as she relayed the words to her sisters.
"Uh...I uh...may be crazy, but is that a threat?" Jadyn gulped, her popcorn-filled mouth warped her funny expression into one of concern.
"But I couldn't recall...any mistreatment towards the witch or Alice..." Afina mused, her gaze unfocused as she digested the cryptic message. The tension in the room grew as the breeze sung of an uprising storm outside, the very same one Alice was likely facing.

"I suggest we actually look up first..." the slit-eyed noble, upon hearing the cryptic message, whispered, her eyes glancing upwards.
There, beyond the ceilings of the outdoor marbled meeting room, beyond the magic barriers that protected the floating isle, beyond the clouds that have always watched over their grandeurs, something of...immense manas approached, something enough to flare up the draconic instincts of the Elder Council, who have always overpowered the Great War with minimal efforts.
The moon silently the only unharmed spectator, as the cloud now told of an imminent danger instead of grand tales from Dragons. The popcorns splurged from their mouths, as the teas spluttered from the cups. The trembles of mana in the colosseum grew stronger, as the sisters felt it in their tyrant's blood.
Then, from the clouds penetrated an answer, an answer as to what threatened their sacred sanctum. The air now grew frosty and glistened with snowflakes, as the elders of old, their eyes widened in shock and horror. A shadow enveloped the colosseum, the meeting rooms, their scaled vessels, and their very souls, as the piercing screech of the air echoed through marbles' walls, unrelenting before the symbol of harmony between humans and dragons.
The soft fabrics of sofas couldn't loosen the dragons' spines, the frosty airs failed to calm the heated drumbeats beneath their scaled lungs, as they were loomed by a mere object. A lifeless object, one that they could have easily flicked away in the Northland of Ice, appeared beyond the barrier in a brand, new form. It was the size of three marbled colosseum, each ice spicule radiated a mana outburst of five demon kings, each edge honed a merciless bloodlust told of a little girl's unbridled rage. It was shaded under the graceful moonlight, in contrast to the barbaric strengths. The empire's open terrain perfectly capturing all the shadows beneath a falling disaster, as the moonlight seeped into every corners of the Empire of Tamara, awakening the sleeping residents of the East, disrupting the flying denizens of the South, and shocking the swimming competitors of the West.
The iced catastrophe was one that even Yasen, a great mage who once revived three thousand yards of crops couldn't mimic. Its might was one that Afina, who once scorched thousands of demons' head in a millisecond, could not outmatch. The intimidation of such an unbelievable phenomenon left the courageous warrior Jadyn gaping her mouth, popcorns falling on the marble floors whose trembles echoing her fear, even the diplomat whose slit-eyes were already wide open, regretted her confidence of a life-time, viewing it as an arrogance before the inevitablity that would befall them.
Indifferent to their fears, the colossal ice meteor, towering over the 'mini' colosseum, is now crashing down with vengeance, a disrespect to the barrier of old that would certainly not hold, and a miracle witnessed by the residents below, who all looked up in unison upon this intruder that once turned the Northen lands, into a Northen Iceland.
In that moment, all differences were put aside. The Earth, Fire, Sea, Sky Dragons all cowered under the name of devastation, a despair that even the most irrational pride would understand, how the great Dragons' years of histories and strengths will crumble in this next, very second.
"What.The.Fuck." The azure-eyed dragon muttered under her breath. Her rude manners forgiven under the utter disbelief of their predicament.
