The Princess's Dangerous Vampire Mate-Chapter 71: The begining - II
When the princess I had a final falling out I had never assumed that he would keep out of my way. So much so that I knew a man who had been following me throughout the palace and outside was no longer behind me. The Prince had left me alone much to my pleasure and now carrying out the plan would be much easier.
Merilyn informed me that The night has fallen as I did notice it because I have continued to stand in front of the mirror which overlooks the poorer section of the society we lived in.
I have put on my clothes but I was not sure of what time would they come in which was why I was delaying that and making sure that everyone has left.
"Alright," Merilyn came in and murmured out, "It is done. I did not find anyone in the kitchens or even in the hallways. Every door is closed and everyone is gone to sleep."
"Good," I muttered out as a pulled my cloak tight against my body. The nerves were making you feel all jittery inside as what I was supposed to do was nothing less than a criminal offence and it might not be part and especially coming from A little Kingdom princess.
"Do you think that we should wait long? Mirror and asked me and she stepped right beside me. "I mean we cannot be sure that everyone has fallen asleep by now and—" 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
"I understand your concerns Merylin," I said. "But what we want to do you can only happen tonight as the princess pushed me away and there is no 1 keeping an eye on me. It makes everything easier."
She bit her lips and the reluctance to carry on with the plan was clear on her face.
"I do not understand this princess. What will about you can cause us severely and I am not ready to see us being punished for something we just wanted to do for ourselves once." She whispered in a lear state of panic. "It does not make sense. They might right?"
I smiled at her in reassurance even though I did not have any for myself. "Nothing wrong turn happen full show the only wrong happened in this entire situation was Tristan being imprisoned for nothing. We just make it right."
"By doing something wrong!" She hissed. "They can even be had us for this and our countries could not be able to raise a finger and before we knew it we would already be dead!"
I shook my head and moved to the other end of the room. A still had my dagger. I have seen ahead in the princess bedroom when I have been invited for breakfast and I could not help but snake and take it back with him. It rightfully belongs to me as I have paid for it.
I placed it’s safe and secure in my square at the very behind so that it will be cover by my cloak cannot even the outline of it to be seen by anyone.
"Let us go." I declare my command softly and she had it because she immediately raised her voice in objection.
"You need not do it, princess! I can do it for you. T-they can behave me or punish me as much as you want but you will be safe and secure. A-A country depends on you—"
"Merilyn," I interrupted her. "It is alright. I want to do it for myself." I wanted to say something else something more but should I was the question.
Merylin was the best confidence I had. She was someone I could trust in my life which is why did not think again as I revealed the truth to her.
"I love him," I whispered to her. "It’s hard to find people who empower you, who make you feel more than what you are, what you could be." I smiled sadly at her. A tearful sight, it was. It was the saddest smile I had a given apart from the time when my mother had died.
"I can’t hold onto the speed in setting more where I just ignore what I feel Marilyn. I want him to be free even though I would be bound most of my life."
She did not say anything, mainly because she did not know what to say.
"Your grace . ."
Don’t Merilyn," I shook my head immediately. "Don’t try to do anything that you cannot do. We will make sure that he leaves the present tonight safe and sound and after that, you will never talk of this again." I cupped her cheek. "Promise me this?"
She stretched her lips once and then nodded slowly as if trying to understand what was happening herself.
"Yes." She agreed. "We will never talk of this again. Should we go now?" She asked with a renewed confidence on her face.
I nodded and looked at the door. For the first time, I was doing something for my sanity and mind.
We walked out of the door bravely even though I knew that both of us were shivering inside our skins. Kingdoms would not be aware of the fact that we were killed by the royal family of Lethoris and no one will ever know the true cause of how princess Genevieve died.
Once again had it in her hands which I have no idea how she availed and a lantern with her. She had them the light so that no one can know that we were coming in and as scared as we both were, we were not making any sounds.
My heart was pounding as quickly as it could each step closer to the prison where Tristan was held.
As I need the prison I realise the possibility that Tristan could have been killed by now and for shifting to another place and I would have no knowledge about it. That word makes all of our plants fail for tonight.
I gulped as we neared it as soon as Merilyn raised the lamp above our heads and I could see inside and my heart finally had a sigh of relief.
He was there.
"Open it," I whispered in a hushed voice to her and in a hurry. "Open it, quickly!"
She scrambled with them and they fell, making it echo across the walls and faster at the fact that the worst could happen at any moment and someone would come and drag us out and kill us for treason.
Both of us stood still not even breathing at the moment and waited to hear anything coming from anywhere.
After waiting for a few seconds and realising that no one was coming away as these engines never readymade prisoners for so long which is was why they will never give such protection we finally released our breaths and I immediately glared at her sharply.
"How can you be so stupid!" I hissed. "Pick them up and open the gate right now and do it properly!"
"Yes, yes," she muttered and picked them up. Even though it was a bit dark yet the lantern provided enough light for us to know whether the whole was still Marilyn and her shivering hands could not place the key inside it.
"Merylin, give it to me." I snatched it from her hands and placed the key inside the hole twisting it I unlock the door and walked inside to the man who seemed to be barely breathing.
"Tristan," I whispered to him. "Are you alright?" I had to know his condition because of which to determine where on next destination will be. If he was too sick and injured we would take him to the healers immediately instead of hiding him somewhere else.
"Tristan?" I nudged him as I bent down and held his shoulders. "Tristan?"
"I think he is too injured and weeks to wake up." Merilyn bent down next to me. "I suppose the only option we have to take him ourselves."
I looked at her as I realise that yes we would have to do that. That had been our initial assumption had Tristan not will be able to get up and now he was not.
"What is family is not here! How are we supposed to carry him all by our own?" I harshly whispered control my anger as this would hinder us and delay us in carrying out our plan.
She bit her lip as she thought about it and I looked down at him. He looked so weak and this time we could not even wake up as well which brought tears to my eyes as a realization that this was what my love had gone to the man.
My affections and favour had brought him to the edge of that in a cold and of the prison where the sunlight even did not reach.
"Princess," Merilyn shook me and looked at her. "Did you hear that?"
I frowned and tilted my head as a concentrated. My eyes went wide as I realise that it was the sound of boots nearing us.
Someone was coming.
