The Princess's Dangerous Vampire Mate-Chapter 251: The maid’s blood - II
"Really Olivia?" Solomon Chuckled, "you believe her words over my actions?"
"I-I don’t!" Olivia stammered out defensively. I could see how fearful she was.
Solomon kept his eyes on her. The action seemed awfully familiar.
"You lie Olivia," Solomon said as he shook his head, "you lie."
I gaped at that.
Of course the action was awfully familiar. That was exactly how Tristan looked at me when he was judging if I was telling him the truth or not.
But did it mean that every vampire could do it?
Because every time I lied, Tristan could tell it and he would say it to my face that he knew I was lying.
"I am not. ." Olivia said in her defence but it was no longer required because Solomon was already moving into the direction of the other girl.
It was like something was happening in between the three of them and even the Olivia was trying to lie Solomon knew the truth already.
He was playing with them?
"You are jealous, are you not?" The corner of his mouth moved up. "I know exactly what your problem is. You have not been blessed with a beloved which is why you have been trying to create problems with all others that have received one."
The once confident girl that was filling the ears of Olivia against Solomon was not covering away in fear. I could see the shaking hands of hers that she tried to hide from him by holding her skirts.
"No . .I just. ."
"What?" Solomon barked lovely, making all three of us jump. "Do you think you’re not aware of what you have been doing?"
What? What happened going on?
Why would any of them pay attention to what the human girl was doing? They had captured in your kingdom, should not pay attention to it more?
"I am not. . " She whispered again. This time her words did not come out as defensively as they had done before. She sounded like she had given up.
He chuckled, shaking his head as he took a seat forward, "we might not interfere with what you all do but we are very well aware of everything happening inside the palace and outside."
I gulped subconsciously.
His words had a meaning in them and he was aware of what he said. Solomon wanted the girl to know that all of them were aware of what was going on in the palace.
That was a warning for me as well.
"Your neck looks delicious," Solomon whispered to her and my eyes widened. Neck and Vampire did not sit well in one sentence.
His words sounded more of a threat than a complement.
"Should I inspect it carefully?" He asked the girl with the tilt of his head. "would you allow me to do that?"
I watched it all happen with an open mouth of disbelief. Even if it was happening in front of my eyes I found it hard to believe.
I knew that Solomon was a vampire I had never expected him to behave like that. To think about it, why would I ever think that Solomon would be harmless?
The girl dropped down on her knees before placing her head on his feet. She was begging him.
"Please! Please!" She cried out, holding onto his feet. "Do not do this to me! I don’t think that I would ever be able to bear it. I swear on everything Holy that I would never repeat it again!"
Solomon gave a long and tired sigh at that. "Do you know how many humans say that they would never repeat the mistake again?" He scoffed, "only if you were ever true to your word."
What was the girl talking about? By Solomon’s words it was obvious that he was not denying what the girl was saying.
The begging of the girl did not stop and that made me feel Solomon a little bit. Even though I knew Tristan could be ruthless, I had not imagined a silent Solomon to do the same.
Solomon smiled devilishly and that took me by surprise once again. I had been used to soft smiles from them all.
"Why not let it be a lesson to all of those who think of poisoning the ears of our beloved?" Solomon titled his head as he looked down at Olivia. "Because quite honestly, I am tired of this cat and mouse game and I would rather get rid of them."
Olivia fell silent for a moment as she processed his words before she gave an ugly cry at that. She understood what it meant.
Soloman near her before raising his hand and holding her neck. "It would be a shame to kill you Olivia but you have left us with no option and the other is like you can be blamed for this."
His hand was still on her neck and I could not move any more from my side. My heart pounded so loudly that I could hear it in my ears.
Was he going to carry on with it? Surely this was going to be a warning!
I heard the strangled gasp as Olivia’s hand went up to the hundred around her neck and she tried to scratch it. Solomon did not stop there. He raised her up making her feet dangle in the air as Olivia tried to take his hand off of her.
Olivia did not stop struggling and that was when the girl, who had been standing there watching everything happen silently just like I did, fell into action and practically fell into the feet of Solomon.
"Please let her go, your highness!" She cried loudly. "Please let her go. She will never do it again. I will make sure of it!"
Solomon did not even glance at her, much less answer her cries. His focus remained on Olivia who was hanging in the air and her feet were moving in the air.
That’s when I realised that Solomon was not killing her. He was just having his fun.
