The Princess's Dangerous Vampire Mate-Chapter 248: The celebration of mating - I
Everyone seemed to understand the celebration but I was as few as ever and one Allen so that he began to explain, "Beloveds or mates do not have marriage ceremonies until one chooses to. It is not as common amongst us. However there is a celebration done in the honour of their meeting and marking."
"Marking," I remembered it, "you had marked Marilyn on my wedding day, had you not?"
He nodded a little, from what I saw in slight embarrassment. "In my defence," he said as he rubbed the back of his head, "it was too tempting to not mark her when she was ready for it."
Merylin giggled as she held Allan’s hand. "I still remember the expression on your face. It was like a child being offered lots of sweets!"
"He had always been a child," Darius chuckled, "did you hear about this morning?"
Allan sneered at him. "I am that already. What more do you possibly want for me?!" He snapped and everybody chuckled at their playful banter, even me.
"Alright, settle down," Chiara waved her hands around, "I still need to decide what to do for the ceremony. It obviously cannot be public for now and we cannot invite any other kingdoms?"
The last line seemed more to have ended in a question because she looked at Tristan for confirmation.
"We cannot do that." Tristan shook his head. "None of them would be understanding of our culture or be willing to accept it." His eyes moved to the king of wolves and I watched as Darius’s expressions turned grim.
It seems like the two kings knew something no one else did as the two of them shared a look before looking away.
Had they reached out to other kingdoms already? But that would mean having their presence acknowledged as the new rulers which the other kingdoms would be wary of given that they were completely different from them.
All the rulers of other kingdoms were humans whereas they were the creatures of the night or, as they were caused by them, vampires.
"We call my mother then." Allan said as he placed his hand on my shoulder, smiling at her and then looked up. "She would be happy to hear of the ceremony."
"Everyone will be," Chirta replied as her eyes met mine, "if only the ceremony for the king and queen came soon, the entire Kingdom would thrive with happiness."
I gulped and looked down on my plate.
"About that," Merilyn spoke up, "should we decide the colours? No one can match the colours that the king and queen would wear and for Allen and I too. We have to decide quickly as we just have time for two days!"
I glanced at everyone who now had turned their attention to her. I felt thankful to her.
After breakfast and the announcement for a celebration ceremony for Merilyn, I went back to my room instead of going to the healers’ hallway.
Just as I was about to walk into my room I noticed something on the writing desk. Walking near it with curiosity my eyes widened with what I saw. It was a letter with the seal of my country on it. I gasped. It must be the reply for estelle!
I picked it up and it felt heavy in my hands. Estelle must have written something that required her more than one paper which meant that it could be more important than I was considering it to be. Opening it hastily, I wondered how long it had been there for.
’Genevieve,
I am glad to hear back from you. I am truly relieved to know that you are safe and sound but not for long. What help is it that you talk of? The creatures of the night could never help anyone but themselves and you must understand that.
I know that you must be troubled and imprisoned inside the palace walls. Otherwise you would have been able to return to us. You must understand that whatever you are feeling inside your head is false!
I must break the sacred oath and tell you what is happening. That Vampire has made threats to every Kingdom and if you must, know we are the weakest at the moment. If he is helping you to win the war over for us, he is just helping himself. Everyone is highly frightened because no one can win the war against vampires and your letter confirms it because Astria has one of the best defences which is clearly better than ours.
Genevieve, I will think of the Kingdom before everything but here I would like to help you as well. You can never get out of the palace when every vampire is awake day and night. It would be impossible for you to do so which is why we have decided to do something for this.
You must come back and there is only one thing that can help you with it. I have sent a small jar along with this letter. It is powerful enough to make them sleep. You know what to do.
I have sent for our forces and sir Walter will guide you. He is currently gathering as much information as possible. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
Eagerly waiting for you,
Estelle.’
Just as I read about the small jar she sent there was a wooden container and I picked it up in my hand. I don’t upside down by placing my hand on the hand. A small jar filled with dark liquid fell in my hand and I held it up to my eyes.
Could I really do it?
I knew very well what she was talking about and as much as I thought about it Estelle could be very much right. Why would Tristan be interested in helping my kingdom? There had to be an ulterior motive and I was not aware of that.
My eyes turned to the letter that I still had written. A particular line caught my eye.
Perhaps, I was not unaware of it either.
