The Princess's Dangerous Vampire Mate-Chapter 175: The king’s wish - II
I kissed him and before long my tongue invaded his mouth and we battled for dominance. Tristan might have been unresponsive for a quick moment but he had taken control after that. I felt his hands on my waist and I straightened my spine at the touch. It tingled me everywhere.
He tilted our heads as his remained up and he sat on my tongue and made me shiver. It was too much! I wanted to squeal loudly at all the new sensations that I was feeling all of a sudden.
I had always seen his lips and I wondered what they felt like. They were awfully soft. I had never imagined them to be this soft and plum.
I pulled back and breathed heavily. I looked at him and our noses were almost touching. It was as if the world stopped for just the two of us and before waiting any longer our lips met again more passionately than before.
His hand came to my jaw and it covered the ear.
I said it again. I said everything down there and it was so. . . I had no word for it.
I finally pulled back, now heaving for breath. He rested our foreheads together as his thumb gently caressed the skin of my cheek.
I had never felt this before. If I thought that I was feeling these things due attraction for men that I had earlier heard about this was completely different.
I pulled back and blushed when I glanced up to see his loving eyes on me. It felt too much now.
"Why are you all of a sudden getting shy?" He teased as he poked my cheek. "Why, were you not the one to initiate this?"
"Hush."
"My my Genevieve," he tutted, "I do not think the tongue work was correct. I think you should practice more."
I gasped at him. "Tristan!" I hit his shoulder. How shameless could one be.
"You know," he started and I looked up at him as his hands gently rubbed my skin on my waist, "I would have agreed to spare Marilyn if you only said please."
I blinked and then leaned back from him. "What?" I spat. Now the anger was coming.
He nodded and I could see the small coming smirk on his face. "I believe it is not my fault that you decided to do something like that." He said and the smirk only widened.
I gaped at the man. Look at him go.
"So you’re telling me that you would have spared Merilyn, if I only said please? What was all that about saying that she attacked me and she deserved to be punished?"
He kissed my forehead before talking and that surprisingly quietened me down. "I just wanted to say how strong your resolve was. I know the bond that you share with Marilyn and I think you should know this now."
I stared and he continued, "Merylin did know about us being vampires and her relation to one but it was never decided that she would die for you."
I could feel everything die down. Every tingle as I heard him. "What?" I whispered. "It was not decided? She won’t have died? She was not supposed to die?!"
"No, she had to die in order to be with Alan forever," he corrected, "but none of us ever decided or even talked about her having to sacrifice her life for you that night. It was her decision. The only thing that made her survive was the saliva that she had in her blood because Allan drank from her."
My blood ran cold.
Merilyn was not selfish. It was a miracle that she had met Allen and that Vampire had come into our lives as her beloved. It was a miracle that he was in town and I have decided to have them married. It was a big miracle that he was able to bring her back to Life even in the dead form of it.
"Oh my," I covered my mouth. Meridian could have—Merilyn dad died. Only. ."how-how much spit was there?" I asked Tristan as my heart started to beat rapidly, "was it enough?"
He stared at me grimly and it only made me feel worse.
I hit his shoulder repeatedly as I said, "no, tell me! Say it to me!" I did not want to assume the worst myself. If he said what was the truth it would be easier for me.
He sighed and got a hold of my hand and brought them on his chest holding onto my wrists. "We usually have blood as an important factor in the transformation. Spit hardly ever worked. It was difficult to bring Marilyn back." His thumb rubbed my hand, "it was extremely difficult to bring her back."
So they could lose her.
He pulled me close and I had my head in his chest. I felt him kiss the top of my head. "Don’t think about it now. You forgave her without knowing any of this and it matters the most. What matters the most is that she is alive and well." 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
"And not being punished anymore." I added and he chuckled.
"Yes, love," he sighed, "that too."
I realised something as I was in his arms. I love being in them. When I was with him it did not matter what kind of creature he was, what mattered was I wanted to be with him and he would never hurt me.
But there was still a lot of questions unanswered and one of them was, "Tristan, where is your aunt and Lara? I have not seen them since I have been here. Are they well?"
Tristan did not look pleased at my pulling back but still acknowledged that I had asked him. "You can meet them soon but for now you have tired yourself out enough." He kissed my head, "sleep my love." And I was out instantly.
The last thought on my mind was that I had to know more about this king.
