Chapter 170: Attacked - III

It was not easy for me to get scared of men. I have grown up in the company. Especially when they were angry and full of revenge, I knew how to handle them and keep myself out of trouble but when I saw trust in the man who had been humble and kind turn into one of them I felt goosebumps on my skin.

"Which punishment are you talking about?" I asked him.

He did not hesitate to answer, "whenever someone transforms for the first six months or even years they are kept away. They are kept away from humans especially because of the blood and given the fact that humans could never fight back. They are kept in the company of vampires and then slowly brought in the human crowd."

"But it has not been six months and never mind a year to her death." I lightly shook my head at the fact. That meant that Marylin was not prepared to be out.

But why let her out if she was not prepared? It could be easily assumed that these people knew what they were doing given that Tristan had a timeline going on for such.

He nodded seemingly impressed with my keeping up. "Allan promised me and vouched for Marilyn. Seems like he forgot that people change after transformation."

Change?

I slightly narrowed my eyes at that. " Why would Allan not let Marilyn go? Was it not important for her to survive and not attack everyone?" I believe if Allan was naive enough to not understand that that he was truly stupid.

He chuckled and I blushed at that. "It was love, my love. I needed Allan to conquer astria and Allan needed Marilyn because she was recently turned and she needed him. He could not go away and she could not go away without him which is why both of them stayed." He explained in simple words and I was grateful for that. I could not think straight with the small pain in my head and in my shoulder.

My shoulder; my eyes widened. "What about my shoulder? You said I died, how did I come back to life?!" I gaped in astonishment. How did I not think of that earlier?

He said that Merilyn had to die to transform into a creature of the dark horror Vampire as he said. He repeatedly told me that I had been nearly there quite a few times while healing and if I was near it then how did he bring me back?

"Say it," Tristan said, "tell me what you are thinking about Genevieve." He folded his arms in front of his chest and turned his attention to me.

"Was I turned? How can I come back to life?" I Said everything in a hurry as I gauged his face for some answer. Thinking about how expressions could say something before speaking. But as usual Tristan gave away nothing.

He stared at me intently before his lips turned upwards. "I understand that he is saying you are a prisoner and I have kept you here against your well but that is necessary however," he leaned in and as the distance covered the bridge I found myself growing hotter, "I will never turn you to a creature like me until you say so." Even though I had stopped trusting Tristan I knew that this was a promise he was not going to break. I knew it in my heart.

I scoffed and shook my head, "I don’t think that I will ever come. A follower of God—"

"So am I." He stated. "So am I genevieve and I’ll tell you that I do not worship the devil but my own God."

"What God is it that makes creatures like that?" I bit my lip trying to stop myself from saying such but his expressions told me to go as further as I could. "No God would ever bring life to a creature from the dead. No god but they bring something so dark." I shook my head. They could never do that.

He lowered his head as it had moved up and down slowly as if he was thinking about what I had told him.

He tsked in pity, "not your God. He could never do that. He would only create people that bring pain to each other; fathers day to turn away from their orders when their mother passes away. Fathers that instead of having the throne to his very own with someone else that is completely incapable of handling the responsibility is given to him. People kill their husbands because they love another. Changing the definitions that God gave them of people into their own gain is that not what your royalty does?" He titled his head slightly.

I gaped at him in astonishment as he continued,

"I wonder how many times you have used such situations to your advantage. Your people do not pledge loyalty to you, mind without any thought. Your people betray you without any cause and mind do not. For you it will always be the money power throne and last for my people it won’t, it won’t ever."

He leaned into my face, " At least my god did not create Fathers that force their daughters, sons that take advantage of the little sisters or even mothers. My God created us as creatures of the dark, yet loyal to family. Loyal Pride and loyalty to love." He stood and looked at me, "when I decide what punishment is to be given to Marilyn you will be leaving this room for the first time. Unless I tell you till you will remain in bed and heal."

I could feel the tears building in my eyes as he went on to all the disgusting things that we had ever done.

He stared at me for a moment long before turning back and walking out of the door but came in, "We found diwal."

My mouth opened and I almost stopped breathing.
