The Princess's Dangerous Vampire Mate-Chapter 169: Attacked - II
It was as if a demon had possessed her and with the speed that she charged at me with I knew I could not outrun her. Which is why I step back and turned around to run only to be tackled down to the ground.
"Marilyn let go!" I screamed but I felt her push my hair forward as I thrashed around wiley trying to get her off me. "Merylin!" I screamed as I thrashed around harder. I even tried to hit her with my elbow but she slammed it on the ground making me yell in pain.
What was wrong with her!
"Me—Ah!" A scream ripped through my throat as I said her teeth into my throat.
I could feel her teeth piercing through the skin of the throat and the pain was unimaginable. My eyes closed as the impact. And then I felt it.
I no longer struggled. It was difficult with the strength that she was holding me onto. She was sucking the blood out. I could feel it.
She sucked it out greedily and I could feel it drip onto my skin.
My eyes opened and the vision this time was completely blood. I wanted to yell out for help but nothing escaped my throat, not even a sound.
I tried to open them just as I had opened my mouth to call for help. My eyes kept on closing again and again before I finally saw someone running towards us.
I moaned out painfully. My head was aching profusely. Marilyn was pulled off me and I finally breathed a sigh of relief.
I opened my eyes once again and from what my blurry vision could see someone tackled Marilyn down or probably two of them. She hissed at them like a demon and tried to get away from them. Her eyes moved to me and so did her teeth that snapped into my direction.
She was possessed. She was a demon. I could hear the sounds that she was a king and the overlap of two people that were trying to calm her down.
"Gen-genevieve," I felt hands on me as they pushed me up. "Here! Drink!" Something was placed on my lips but I could not swallow it.
My eyes closed and everything faded away.
******
I breathed in loudly as I opened my eyes. It took me to blink a few times to get my vision clear. I was not in my room.
I would have assumed that it was the healers hallway but that was not true because this seems to be far more luxurious.
I breathed in loudly before getting up only to hiss at the pain I felt. My neck hurt and so did my head.
I laid back down.
Merilyn. I closed my eyes. Out of all of those that I had known to be a creature of the dark Marilyn was the one who had attacked me.
The door opened and someone entered only to step back when they saw me awake. "Oh!" His eyes widened. "Let me call his highness." He immediately turned around and walked back out of the room making me frown as much as the wound on my head would allow.
His highness? Who was His highness here?
"Genevieve!" Tristan hurried to my side as my eyes followed his moments but then my head pained making me close my eyes forcefully.
I hissed slightly.
"What is it?" He said and I opened my eyes to see his panicked expression. "Are you in pain?" He turns to the healer who flinched. "Fix it!"
"It. . s. .fine. . " I croaked out and the healer visibly relaxed.
Tristan turned to me and I noticed a few changes.
He looked paler. Could creatures of the dark and demons like Marilyn actually look more pale? I didn’t even know if vampires were supposed to look tired but Tristan appeared to be.
"Wh-what?" I started out the words as I was not completely able to say a full sentence. I want to know what happened.
His eyes lowered to my neck and he stared at the phone. For now it was tingling which meant that they had applied healing paste.
"Nothing," he spoke but then closed his eyes forcefully before opening them again and looking at me. He took my hand in his and continued, "do you remember what Marilyn did?" 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
How could I ever forget the perfect side? "Ya.."
He nodded. "Meridian was recently transformed into a Vampire which means that she does not have as much control as we do. She attacked you when she smelled blood."
She attacked me.
Listening to it from someone else was lot more because it made it more reality. Marilyn har attacked me.
I licked my lips before croaking out, "Why me?"
He shook his head and his hair fell over his forehead making me admire him more. "There is no specific reason other than she smelled blood on you." He kissed my hand, "I thought I lost you." He murmured against my hand and placed a kiss over there again.
"Me?" I repeated, confused. Arrows and Spears had often pierced into the skin of soldiers and the pillars were perfectly capable of bringing them back to life so I did not understand how Tristan was concerned here.
A sad smile came to his face as he shook his head negatively. "No Genevieve," he whispered and I could see his eyes glistening over, "you have been unconscious for days. It has been over six days for you to be unconscious after Marilyn attacked you."
I stared at him in shock. "what?" A week? It had been a week?
He nodded. " She had taken too much blood and you were on the verge of dying. You have no idea how many times we tried to bring you back and thankfully succeeded."
Merylin had almost killed me? The realisation was enough to make me cry about it.
"But don’t you worry," he said and a small angry smirk appeared on his face. "I will make sure she gets punished for this."
