The Princess's Dangerous Vampire Mate-Chapter 154: A new world - III
Chaos had begun.
Never have she ever imagined that she would have to wear the Armour again. Every time they were at war there or there was an attack on the kingdom, She watched from her balcony as his soldiers won it over but this time they all reached inside walls.
She heard it again.
"No," she whispered and closed her eyes forcefully as she placed her hands on her ears to muffle out the voices. "No! Please no!"
She could hear the yes of the people. Who ever had attacked them had conveniently reach inside where the public was living. How did they get past their defences she did not know but now she could hear how her people cried out.
That could happen to her.
She did not want that. What was she to do?!
She sighed and ran her hands over her face. "What to do?" She whispered to herself. "What to do! What to DO!" She yelled now Barely able to keep hold on herself first of what was she to do when she was on the verge of dying?
They were going to kill her.
"Oh my god, oh my god," she placed her hand on her heart, "they can’t kill me. . ."
But that was not the truth. Annatasia knew deep inside that as the Queen of another country she was the first person to die.
"They have to kill me if they want to control my country. . " She gripped hair tightly.
As the Queen of the country she was the first person they would kill to signify that her brain has officially ended. Next would be her idiot of a son who could not be found.
She did not want to die.
"Y-your highness?" Linda entered her room as a stuttering mess as she gripped her dress in her hands. She was scared and it showed on her face.
"What Linda?" She croaked out. That was the after cessation of screaming and yelling at the generals. How could the foreign army enter their Kingdom?
"Th-they . ." She gulped and it only made Annatasia’s heart dip.
"What?" She muttered, "I have to wear my Armour now. It cannot be worse than that." She smiled but then laughed. Oh, how the tables turned. They were going to penetrate the palace walls now. The only wall that separated the capital from the palace. If they breached those, then it was only a matter of time before she was taken captive.
Anastacia stood up from the ground and stood in front of her armour. "Tell me Linda, if there is one last task I ask you would you do it?"
Linda gulped but nodded shakily. "Yes, I will, your highness." 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
Annatasia smiled. "How sweet you are," she turned to look at Linda before sitting on her bed and pointing to the armour. "Wear it."
"Me?" Linda pointed to herself unable to believe the fact that the queen had asked her to wear it.
Anastasia nodded. "Hurry."
And Linda did just that.
It was difficult to wear the armour because she had never worn it before but Linda tried her best. It was not right fitted. The queen was tall and strong whereas her structure was small which is why it looked missed placed on her.
"N-now?" She whispered. What was the Queen trying to do?
Anastasia then stood up from the bed and walked to where her winery was. Picking up the bottle she was too well understood in her armour.
"Wh-what are you doing?" Linda watched the queen with wide eyes. The bottle in her hand was awfully recognisable and now she did not want to be with the queen anymore but she could not just dismiss herself.
Annatasia smiled and pointed to her balcony. "Go there and I will tell you." She smiled.
Linda saw Queen smile and when she saw that she thought that it was not something that should be scared of. The Queen never smiled genuinely.
She walked to the balcony and the metal planned as she did so. It was very awkward and uncomfortable to work in a huge suit but she did as the Queen told her. It only confused her more when the queen pointed to the very end of the balcony.
Annatasia stood in front of her. "This," she pointed to the wine bottle, "is a portion inside. The royal family drinks it so that it can protect itself from everything happening around it. Even black magic." She whispered and Linda’s eyes widened.
"Really?" She whispered back, intrigued by it all.
"Uh huh," the queen nodded and hummed as she pulled the bottles liquid over Linda. The armour was soaked and so was the top of her hair. Then Anastasia placed the helmet over her head and soaked it as well.
There, she stepped back and smiled. "Now I want you to stare at the capital and count to ten. The portion needs time to take effect."
Linda nodded with a smile on her face and turned around to face the capital. She knew why the queen was doing it. The queen was trying to protect her because she had been there for the queen till the very last moment when everyone had left to save their own eyes.
She gasped when she felt something. Heat. . She felt heat.
She gasped loudly when she turned around to see her back on fire. She turned around completely and saw the queen holding a torch in her hand lit with fire. She took a step back wary of the queen. Her armour was on fire!
"Wha-what?" Linda cried out. The heat was too much!
"Thank-you Linda," the queen smiled before stepping close to her, "you’re going to make everyone think that I vanished." She whispered before taking the torch and pushing Linda out of the balcony. She stepped closer to the end and watched as Linda fell to the ground.
No one would know.
She threw the torch down and turned back to her room. There was a handle right next to her wardrobe and pressing the handle, the door opened. The door to her freedom.
She was ready to step when someone else step out.
"Good morning my Queen," the man hissed, "I meant fallen queen."
